  Sweetie's gradmother passed away yesterday afternoon. She had been in and
  out of the hospital a lot this year, and Sweetie had been worried that
  this Christmas would be the last one he'd have with her.
  
  I think he's still planning on driving out to FL, probably leaving
  the 21st or 22nd, and coming back maybe the 1st or 2nd (?)
  
  There isn't going to be a funeral, his mom is having her cremated and
  then she wants Sweetie and Jeanne to come to FL in the spring for a
  memorial service.
  
  Sweetie's not really talking about it, he cried a little bit when he got
  home and then we went to his VW gang's Xmas party. I think it was
  good for him to be with a big group of friends. They are really very
  nice people, very kind-hearted and generous. They throw a great
  potluck & their 'white elephant' gift exchange was really fun to
  watch.
  
  Anyway...TGIF. I'm exhausted, cant' wait to get home, make a batch of
  cookies, and go to bed.
