Hey!
How was your weekend? Mine was good. The tree
stuff took pretty much all day on Saturday - we
actually picked the tree and sawed it down in about
an hour or less. But we also had to take BART to
fremont to pick up Shane's dad's truck, drive from
there to los gatos (where the tree farm is), drive
from there to San Francisco, and the truck to SFO
employee parking (Shane's dad works for Northwest),
and then BART back to the city.
It actually wasn't as much of a hassle as it sounds,
but we were definitely tired at the end of the day.
We had pizza with his parents on Saturday night,
which was nice, and then we went home and crashed.
Sunday was nice, but wasn't significantly more
relaxing. We went Christmas shopping. Shane's
grandmother gives everyone money to go shopping
with. This year, since they are visiting her, they
are wrapping everything up and bringing it all with
them to Vegas. Anyway - Shane needed socks and
underwear, so that's what we got (all basic stuff,
but I got to choose one sexy pair of underwear. :)
)
And then we went ornament shopping. We needed
lights and a tree topper, but we got quite a few
other things as well, including ornaments that look
like bunches of grapes, and little snowpeople with
our names on them. :) I couldn't believe they had
one for "Shane" and that they hadn't run out of
"Jennifer."
I fell in love with a Christopher Radko "San
Francisco" ornament - it's a big heart with the
Golden Gate Bridge stretched across. I didn't get
it (too expensive) but I might give in, depending on
what my bonus looks like.
The tree looks fantastic. I took pix. :)
Other that that, we watched movies - Wings of the
Dove on Friday and Almost Famous last night. Shane
had seen them both before, but I hadn't. They were
excellent.
I am hoping for a relaxing week, although today
might be a little crazy.
Hope you have a good day! Vegas next week!
Love,
J-Law

wow!! Until you said "Vegas next week"...It really
hadn't hit me yet! AAAAA!!!! EEEEEE! I'm soooo
excited!!
Your weekend sounds like fun--but a big trip for the
tree, that's for sure. It sounds wonderful, a lot of
together-time for you & your Sweetie. That is very
sweet & cute about the personalized ornaments!
I had a pretty laid back weekend, went to the Maul on
Saturday & finally found some things to spend that JC
Penney gift certificate on.
Saturday evening, I went to a dinner of the local S&M
group, and then a party at a someone's house
afterwards--it was a huge Victorian farmhouse out on
what looked like several hundred acres. Very nice
land, beautiful home, nice people, and a fun time. I
kind of faux-pas'ed with the host at dinner--I went up
to the board member who was passing out maps to the
party & I asked him if there were enough copies for me
to keep the one I was looking at. This guy I didn't
know said "No, you have to memorize it, and if you
don't get to the party in time, we'll spank you!"
"I'd like to see you try," I said, smiling sweetly.
"It would be an educational experience for both of us,
especially you learning how to live with your
stumps."....and then it turns out he was the
homeowner/party host. ack. But...I just get sick of
random guys at the dinners aSSuming I'm a sub. I guess
because I'm not head to toe in leather, or all butchy
or whatever. It's happened several times now with
different people in that group and I guess I was kind
of sick of it.
Anyway, the party itself was nice, and my friend Nikiyoy
& I kidapped thewordnerd (the blind guy) and we went to the
party. I was having a good time describing the various
scenes we saw, and one of the Doms was kind enough to
let thewordnerd approach his rope-tied sub and let him
touch the ropes & 'see' what was going on. That was
terrifically cool.
I really meant to go see an acquaintance of mine in a
community theatre production of 'once upon a mattress'
Sunday, but as the time got closer, I just started
feeling like I didn't want to see it. I really hate
musicals, and I just don't like the girl enough to sit
thru it. I feel bad, but that's the way it is.
I think I've got plans every day and every night from
now until New Yrs. Exciting! :)
XOXOXOO!
I want to see a picture of that San Francisco
ornament...google search here I come!
