evile: it's my friday!!!!
SkyeDS: :P (was in Hugh's ofc)
evile: aha. How's your day going?
SkyeDS: it goes
SkyeDS: I've been wishing it were Friday since Monday LOL
evile: good. We are so ooo caught up. I'ts kinda sucky to surf
because you have to and not because you want to.
SkyeDS: I wouldn't know lol
evile: Yeah. It was goodie day this a.m. so we are wasting lots of
time chatting and eating.
SkyeDS: breakfast recipe looks good
evile: It turned out OK. I just made it up as I went along.
SkyeDS: http://www.arabhorsestore.com/store/saddleset_5.htm
evile: nice!!!
SkyeDS: and cheap
evile: very!
SkyeDS: and it comes with a saddle
evile: You can't hardly get a plain saddle for that kind of
money,most places.
SkyeDS: zactly
evile: way cool.
evile: you find the best stuff :)
SkyeDS: http://www.arabhorsestore.com/store/images/post_native_4.jpg
SkyeDS: that's my Mirage.
evile: very similar :)
SkyeDS: ROFL coming from you that's a high compliment. You find the
best stuff with unerring surgical precision, I stumble across it on
very rare occasion.
evile: Oh, I just fake it well.
evile: I like the littel half-moon looking things on the chest piece.

SkyeDS: nodnod

evile: cooool!
SkyeDS: omg I so want to spend money here
evile: *nodnod* me tooooo
SkyeDS: here and doi yas mazikaa, even more than shimmy shimmy
evile: I do like shimmy shimmy, tho.
SkyeDS: do think I'll invest in the traditional shark tooth noseband
since it doesn't seem to come with the saddle set. (traditionally
part of the halter)
evile: neat :)
evile: what a great price, too.
SkyeDS: they don't have prices on their robes and headdresses but I
don't care.
evile: yeah, I noticed that.
evile: not on the lamps either. One of those would look so good in
the vanagon :)
SkyeDS: they seem reasonably priced otherwise, so.
SkyeDS: and I'm willing to pay to have a genuine bedouin outfit, as
in, from the Bedu, that I didn't make myself.
evile: *nod*
evile: I took a spin through the arabic bazaar next door to the
Flightpath cafe. They have some lovely stuff but it's $$$$!!!
SkyeDS: for sineater and Jez someday:

SkyeDS: I am partial to the spanish saddle at the bottom
evile: nice!
evile: I've always wanted to try Australian saddle. Seems like the
best of both worlds, as far as english v. western, not to mention it
would put a bug up all the SCA dressage snootysnoots.
SkyeDS: lol true, I like Aussie saddles too.
SkyeDS: and, there are both Aussie English and Aussie Western
evile: *nod*

SkyeDS: http://www.flamencoshop.com/equestrian/womensjackets.htm
SkyeDS: I want to be her :(
evile: nice :)
evile: I do like how tailored a lot of riding clothing is.
SkyeDS: I do too, but I do not have a tailored figure.
evile: You do pretty well with what ya got ;)
SkyeDS: I try not to wear anything that would make people want to put
a bag over my entire body
evile: :P~~~
evile: I'm pretty sure Jose wanted to do that to me at Sharjinka's
party, but f him. I was having a nice time, and that's what is
important :)
SkyeDS: Jose is very pretty to look at.
SkyeDS: as long as he keeps his silly little Baptist mouth closed
evile: *laff*
evile: he seems to have a GF now, so hopefully he'll lighten up.
SkyeDS: he had Jubilee for a while, that lovely little redhead, adn
he fucked that up
evile: She gave me a tiny little psycho-vibe. So I might not place
all the blame on Jose for the demise of that friendship.
SkyeDS: the blame seldom if ever is on just one
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: Elizabeta just posted the El Morro link to Anst. Eq. on yahoo
evile: Oh,small world :)
SkyeDS: I wish the spanish stuff were as cheap as the bedouin stuff
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I want to buy alta escuela for Jesse
evile: That would be gorgeous.
SkyeDS: nodnods
SkyeDS: sineater doesn't really need another saddle, but I would like to
have alta escuela bridle and breastplate
evile: yeah.
SkyeDS: my saddle is an antique (literally) and is falling apart.
evile: Definitely time for a new one I think :)
evile: I think sidesaddle looks so cool, but would be a bitch and a
half to do.
SkyeDS: it is.
evile: That was my fave part of Tomb Raider 2, btw.
SkyeDS: me too
evile: *grinz*
SkyeDS: :P
SkyeDS: I did like that she learned to do all her own wirework
evile: that is very cool.
evile: The press kind of bashes on her because she's a freak, but I
think I'd like her as a person.
SkyeDS: I don't pay much attention to celebrity press
evile: I like entertainment news better than I like 'real' news.
evile: she's our age. So, I have hope that if I were ever able to
have in-house personal trainer, nutritionist, and plastic surgeon, I
could be just as gorgeous :P
SkyeDS: :)
SkyeDS: I didn't think the blonde suited her in Gone in 60 seconds
evile: no.
evile: If I ever actually got a vanner, I guess I couldn't dress him
up too much. Oh well. *sigh* There is probably something wrong with
wanting a RL horse so I can play 'my little pony' with it, anyway. :P
SkyeDS: you could do that with a mini
evile: true.
SkyeDS: at the vet I saw the most gorgeous black and white paint mini
evile: aww!
SkyeDS: it was almost tall enough to be a pony
evile: female, I'd guess, then.
SkyeDS: yep, with a baby
evile: *nod*
evile: way cute.
SkyeDS: nodnods
evile: I just love minis!
SkyeDS: that would suit your situation too
SkyeDS: they can be housebroken
evile: I keep telling Sweetie....
SkyeDS: I know it's not the same as a puppy but still
evile: *nod*
evile: the next time I happen to have a spare few grand hanging
around, I'm *not* spending it on a horse.
SkyeDS: a mini wouldn't cost that much
evile: I'd rather spend it on traveling, doing the horseback ride
through the Loire valley, etc. Mom says I should volunteer for LSER,
get my horse fix that way :P
SkyeDS: that's a good idea too, volunteering
SkyeDS: I'm sure they need all the help they can get
evile: yup.
evile: I guess the only issue is that each animal is fostered in a
private residence, so volunteering would be complicated by having to
get in touch with the foster home & make arrangements to help. If
they even wanted or needed non-foster-home help.
SkyeDS: they have animals they can't foster yet
SkyeDS: need taking care of
evile: all of the animals avail. for adoption are being privately
boarded. There's no central facility
SkyeDS: ah. I just knew there were some they didn't let adopt yet,
like that TB Jinx wanted
evile: *nod*
evile: "LSER relies on our foster homes to provide loving homes for
equines who come to LSER. until such time as those equines are
adopted out. Because LSER. does not currently have a facility to keep
our equines at, our foster homes are a key part of our organization. "
evile: being a foster is not the same as adopting
evile: I don't have facilities/resources to foster, but if they just
needed people to get them used to being handled, I could do that. But
would have to coordinate with individual foster-people, I guess,
rather than the organization.
evile: doesn't really seem as if there's a place in the org. for non-
landed volunteer types. :(
SkyeDS: private boarding requires feeding, grooming, etc, manhours
that I'm s ure they'd rather have from volunteers
evile: dealing with individual horse-people is such a crapshoot,
though. Id' rather deal with an organization. Going onto someone's
property & getting bossed around by one of the crazy horse
people...no thanks.
SkyeDS: lol I don't blame you
evile: yeah, you deal with those types far more frequently than I do.
evile: There's a big LSER thing in mid-November in Brenham. Assuming
I'm not at TRF that weekend, I think I'll go there first.
SkyeDS: good idear
evile: hope so.
evile: TRF is gonna be wierd this year.
SkyeDS: how come
evile: Rengeek & Pam are separated. In the past we'd always camped
near their camp. They had a great setup--propane shower, several ez-
ups grouped together & hung with tapestries, very cool gathering
place for all rennies. No cliquey bullshit like with "chaos"
and "trash tribe" and all those jerks.
SkyeDS: I want to buy a solar shower
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: so no more nice set up if they aren't together?
evile: well, not only that, but I gather it wasn't the best breakup,
so it'll be hard to spend time with both of them.
SkyeDS: nods
evile: its possible that rengeek or pam got all the 'stuff' and will
take it out to TRF, but it won't be the same without both of them
there, and all of us having a great time visiting together.
SkyeDS: :(
evile: Makes me regret last year at TRF even more (got suckered into
camping near/with J&K and their white trash asshole friends. I spent
most of the evening at Rengeek's,anywa, but still)
SkyeDS: only reason we're going to FH this weekend is to see Laura
and Linda and families
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: slow, back and forth from desk
evile: OK.
evile: a bunch of the folks at Erin & Pace's party said they wanted
to do a big ol' TRF trip. That might be fun.
SkyeDS: guess should make a TRF trip for sineater's birthday
evile: that would be fun.
SkyeDS: seems like y'all do that just bout every year
evile: yup.
SkyeDS: I don't think we have an event that weekend I'd have to look
evile: Personally, I prefer Scarboroug, but there's not camping, and
that's what Sweetie likes.
SkyeDS: I like TRF for shopping, because there are things I can't get
at Scarbie, but for pleasure, I prefer Scarbie too
evile: *nod*
evile: Trf is just tooo _big_
evile: and with no season pass, it's not really affordable to attend
a bunch of weekends like scarby is.
evile: Niki wants to go first weekend, but it's usually still too hot
then.
SkyeDS: ack, event that weekend
SkyeDS: I will ask him what he wants to do
SkyeDS: he could want to go to the event in order to camp w/ Arthur &
the girls, or he might be tired of that by then.
SkyeDS: in that he will have been to five events before then
SkyeDS: I wonder how close Clear Lake is to Plantersville
evile: *shrug* no clue.
evile: it appears to be a suburb of Houston, but that could mean
anywhere from 20-80 miles from Plantersville, really...
SkyeDS: 254 miles, no thank you
evile: shit!!!
SkyeDS: ....would it bother you to take him with you, like you've
done in previous years, without me?
SkyeDS: if I go, I have to find someone to watch the horses and the
bird, unless we get a hotel.
evile: I'd have to ask Sweetie, since we camp. The 1 time sineater went with
was the ill-fated chartered trip. If there's room for him in the
vanagon, I'm sure there won't be a problem.
evile: Sweetie & I haven't even talked about what weekend(s) we might end
up going.
SkyeDS: nods.
evile: I'm not sure if Sweetie's too thrilled about the idea of faire
with the polys...not like they'd be any more debauched than the usual
crowd we camp with...
SkyeDS: if we could find someone to watch the horses, I wouldn't mind
a day trip and a hotel room for Arthur.
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: we could drop Arthur off for babysitting with Joanie.
SkyeDS: but she won't leave him in peace, she always wants to be
petting him.
evile: yeah...
evile: well, we've got a couple months to think about it, get all our
ducks & parrots in a row...not to worry.
SkyeDS: lol
evile: I guess first check w/sineater to see what he feels like doing,
then I'll chat w/Sweetie to see 1) when we're going and 2) if it's
possible for him to come w/us. And then after that you can worry
about critter-sitters.
SkyeDS: nods
SkyeDS: and there's no telling, I'm sure how he feels now won't be
how he feels perhaps after five events.
evile: *nod*
evile: well, time to pack it in. I'm taking off tomorrow, so I
probably won't be online much, if at all.
SkyeDS: :P~~~
SkyeDS: wind to your wings
evile: *hugs* have a good weekend!
