I was surfing strangers' lj's at random, and came across the
following (public) post. It struck a chord with me. I believe it will
do the same for most of my friend list:

Life has no meaning and there is no hope.
Any meaning I see in life I created myself and can change it at any
time.
I am a meaning-making machine.
