evile: Are you at work? May I walk over & give you your prezzie?
SkyeDS: I am and you may
evile: cool. see ya in 15. :)
    SkyeDS: awesomeness :)
    evile: back safe :)
SkyeDS: wb! thank you muchly for the pretty shiny! I will be extra
    careful with it
evile: well, it wasn't expensive. if mine breaks, it breaks. Such is
    life.
SkyeDS: thought: prepackaged time of month meals. steak, rare,
    cabbage, and dark chocolate dessert
evile: *grin* We had cheese & chocolate fondue at Meg's last night,
it was about perfect for 'that time'
SkyeDS: I was noticing in the poly notices that the bakehouse has
    fondue
    evile: It wasn't good.
SkyeDS: have not been there at all
SkyeDS: after having had your fondue I may be overly critical too
SkyeDS: like most people I judge by what I'm accustomed to
evile: it tasted like white velveeta, the portion was small, and it
was 6 or 8 bucks. supposed to be an appetizer for 2. For $12, the
melting pot serves a very tasty, abundant real cheese fondue with
unlimited refills on dipping-stuff (veggies, bread, fruit)
evile: We decided next time we are skipping the entree and just
getting chocolate and cheese. (or going to Meg's, one.)
SkyeDS: now that we hopefully are headed back toward a more even
financial keel I can start saving up for a trip there
SkyeDS: and planning better menus at home
    evile: that'll be nice :)
SkyeDS: a lot of stuff I want to do, I need to get off the ass and do
    them.
    evile: I know that feeling!
SkyeDS: spend a lot of time in crisis mode, and then everything else
goes by the wayside. after crisis is over, I need down time but that
almost always lasts too long and turns into stagnation
evile: Yeah, it's hard to find a happy medium, and sometimes hard to
motivate when there's not an actual fire under the ass.
evile: Next week's girls night is going to be at a restaurant, BTW,
so it's open invitation for anyone. Terri's going to bring a non-poly
friend for everyone to meet, so we dont' have the awkwardness of
someone bringing a stranger into a hostess' home.
SkyeDS: cool :) is it ok if I ask Chelle if she's going?
evile: sure. I'll probably put something in my LJ closer to the date.
it's in my april calendar entry, but that's far enough back that
people may not look at it.
    SkyeDS: which restaurant?
evile: Burger Tex on Airport, probably 'round 7.
SkyeDS: never been there, seems like I think I heard they have good
    rings or fries or something
evile: No clue. It was Niki's suggestion, so I'm sure it's fine.
SkyeDS: I just offered my ranch, again, as an event site
SkyeDS: not that it matters, since the offer was mine, nobody will
take me up on it anyway
evile: it doesn't sound like anyone has much of a clue what they're
doing at this point. that sucks about the fire.
SkyeDS: as long as there aren't more than a couple of dozen people, I
don't mind having them in the house for feast and court
SkyeDS: but they can't use my septic system
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: HFS would save a lot of money if they didn't keep trying to
buy champagne on a beer budget.
SkyeDS: Raven'sFort (SCA) is completely primitive, no electricity, no
water (has to be brought to site in barrels, and portapotties), no
indoor kitchen or enclosed feast hall
SkyeDS: and nobody gives a damn
SkyeDS: of course the SCA in general has no dearth of period tents to
make up for teh lack of enclosures either
    evile: yeah.
evile: I've seen the rennies pull together and make a feast pavilion
out of connected Ez-ups for a handfasting party with over a hundred
guests. It's all in what you're motivated to do, I guess. Entitlement
    mentality vs. 'can do' mentality.
SkyeDS: we do that in Eq camp all the time
SkyeDS: we all put our individual food tents together and connect
    them with tarps on poles
    evile: *nod*
evile: I'm thinking of having my April full moon thing at San Gabriel
    Park.
evile: I'm sure if it goes off well, someone will be upleasant and
say I'm showing off or something crazy like that. HFS'ers are much
too fond of drama & fussing.
evile: I guess I don't need to specifically invite the HFS ers, just
have it at the park, and that way y'all and Michelle can come over,
which is why I wanted to do it there, and if other HFSers come or
    don't come, whatever.
SkyeDS: I've done full moon there many times before, nice place for it
evile: I have just been trying to get together with people for full
moons, not anything official or a big ritual, just hanging out.
SkyeDS: nobody freaked out when I did full ritual there, right in the
    middle of Williamson Cty
    evile: that's cool
SkyeDS: I didnt' make a big production out of it though so may be no
one noticed, and no cops were about
evile: *nod* Sounds like a positive outcome :)
evile: heh. Eric's been posting a lot today; he must be terribly
    bored at work so far.
    SkyeDS: lol nodnod
evile: give it a month, he'll be complaining about them working him
    to death :P
SkyeDS: hopefully in a month he can go to graveyard like he wants
evile: shift differential $ would be a fine thing.
    SkyeDS: indeed
evile: Okay. I didn't feel old until Chance started going on about
her plans for her 25th birthday....I am _ten_ years older than she
is. a decade. and we are both legal...ack.
SkyeDS: hugs - wind to your w ings :)
evile: *hugs* see ya later :)
