Solstice blessings
Dec. 22nd, 2004 08:26 amYesterday was a really beautiful day. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, it was 70 degrees, and I spent the day with
terriblelynne and my friend Rio and her cool kid. The tea place has moved to a new location, an adorable Victorian mansion with a big wraparound porch. It's in a shopping center of other funky little buildings. Seems so much nicer than a mall setting to do ones shopping. We'll have to go back again.
Very good conversation, and lots of blessings, in amongst the rubble of Mercury Retrograde--a few miscommunications that in the past I might have allowed to ruin my fun, but I decided not to let that happen.
One thing sticks with me, above all others, in yesterday's blessed oasis from the crazy rush of this time of year:
"You have survived things that have killed other people."
Yes, you have. And I have. Every day that passes that we are still alive to see the sun, we've survived. I intend to make my survival count for something.
