    SkyeDS: how goes?

evile: quiet. Good. Just got back from the gym.
SkyeDS: just got back from examining what passes for rockdale city
    park (on horseback)

evile: Not impressive, I take it?

SkyeDS: not really but better than riding at home.

    evile: hee.

evile: Who is the new CRW autocrat? Supposedly we have a new
one...but no word on who it is or WHEN CRW will be yet. foo!

SkyeDS: I haven't checked Chaos yet lately. There was some stuff but
then it got shut down. Is it not patrick? I'm getting dizzy...

evile: Nope. Apparently there was a thread back...Feb 10 to see if
anyone wanted to take over for patrick.

    SkyeDS: I saw that.

SkyeDS: I heard that they were taking new applications

SkyeDS: and then like the very next day that thread was closed and
Patrick hismelf said "the job is taken thank you"

    SkyeDS: very confusing.

evile: I begin to suspect that CRW6, if it happens, is going to be
    quite the shabby affair.

SkyeDS: Katie and I have talked a few times about throwing a CRW of
    our own anyway.

evile: I doubt the 'powers that be' would let you call it
that. "Combined Realms Revel" or something would be more my speed :P

evile: I think I am in a very tiny minority, though. Most of the
folks in HFS seem to enjoy the whacking and smiting more than the rp
and garbing and fun stuff. Sorry...my skin is the only thing I'm
really vain about--i HATE bruises, burns, scrapes, scratches, and
    other blemishes.

SkyeDS: ShadowMist and Barad Duin are much more serious about Arts
and Sciences, that's what I like.

evile: That's cool. I've decided to wear my hideous garb to
    Drandmir's stuff this weekend

SkyeDS: I have never seen anything of yours, garb or otherwise, that
    was hideous.

evile: Well, if you come out, you'll see it. Your eyes will bleed.
You will be blind and deaf from the loudness of it.

SkyeDS: maybe I should invest in some cheap sunglasses...? ;-)
evile: perhaps. Or just don't make direct eye contact...

SkyeDS: I wasn't going to go, but Katie took the troubleto invite me
personally, for reasons I can't discuss because I was sworn to
secrecy months ago (the secret will be revealed there, no biggy), and
    I won't refuse Katie anything.

    evile: cool

SkyeDS: what annoys me about drandmir is that they don't separate
feast only from the whole event fee, and we're paying $8 a plate for
something Goofy's making out of hamburger meat.

    evile: *shrug*

SkyeDS: everyone swears there will be lots of roleplaying though, and
the new monarch is a good kid, so it should be worthwhile.

    evile: hope so.

evile: Spamarama is Saturday...so I'm doing that first, and when I
show up to Drandmir, I show up .If I miss feast, oh well.

SkyeDS: American Express is acting like htey really want to hire me
as a Financial Advisor. They wanted to do a third interview on
    Saturday, adn I said, I would, but...so it's now Friday April 4.

    evile: not too far off.

SkyeDS: going to take longer to get to Lockheart than it did.

    evile: yup

evile: but maybe you can work that into your negotiations

SkyeDS: they were happy to settle for Friday afternoon of next week
so that's good enough for me.

    evile: cool.

SkyeDS: it occurred to me, when Grandmother complained that her CDs
were making little to no interest anymore, and I told her, put your
money somewhere else, but didn't know where to tell her to put it,
that right now, getting training in Financial Advising wouldn't be a
    bad thing.

evile: The stock market took a huge dump today. no good place to put
    $ right now.

SkyeDS: better places than the stockmarket definitely...and that dump
    was no doubt war related.

evile: I think W was counting on the war to boost the market, but the
investor s are too skittish for those old tricks.

SkyeDS: ya know, I know I sound like a broken CD...but...if he had
done this on 9-12, everyone would have been behind him 100%. Now
it's Viet Nam all over again.

evile: I would NEVR have been behind him attacking Iraq. I still
    remember iran contra.

SkyeDS: well, I knew I should have revised that the minute it left my
fingers. He would have had more support than he does now at any rate.

    evile: yup

evile: woops, I got disconnected. Probably a hint from the powers
that be that I should think about getting to bed!
    SkyeDS: sobs...I got disconnected to.
    SkyeDS: too.
    SkyeDS: stupid dialup :(
SkyeDS: bath and bed sounds good actually (along with a glass of wine)
evile: My guess it was the ICQ server. I got a shower at the gym, so
I'll just lotion up and read a little before I crash
SkyeDS: I've done a lot more reading since I don't have tv anymore.
It's good for me (I just miss the broadband connection). Anyway,
sweet dreams, will see you Saturday :)
    evile: Until then!

    SkyeDS: ciao bella :)
