three day weekend
May. 30th, 2023 01:58 pmPretty lazy weekend. Got a mammogram. Got red light therapy & signed up for a limited membership (4 visits/month for about $40), did a load of dishes, took the dogs to the dog park once, saw Guardians of the Galaxy 3--first time in a movie theatre since 2019 with the exception of going to see a classic movie with a friend and maybe 8 other people in a big theatre that he'd rented out for his bday...I think that was 2020 or 2021?. A friend had a book release party Saturday at a venue in Pflugerville, but by the time I remembered about it, I was exhausted and in Pjs. Another friend invited us to happy hour on Monday, but I didn't muster up the oomph to attend.
I had thought about maybe going to bull creek park or city park in San Marcos with the dogs but didn't do it. It was pretty lazy. Oh, and I swept and mopped the kitchen and dining room floors.
bad dreams over the weekend--alien invasion, end of the world, some other negative stuff I don't really remember. blecch.
Thax's office is moving at the end of June, they will be offering a big severance if he decides not to move us to Salt Lake City to continue working for them. (we aren't moving to SLC) I talked him into taking a couple of weeks off at the beginning of July to visit family in Oklahoma and Indiana. I am flailing on planning out how that's going to go, deciding where we're going to stay along the way, etc. I used to be very good at planning things and such but the pandemic just killed that part of me dead. .. I'm having a hard time reviving my planning-fu. And, I guess, part of it too is that I worry he might get a job that won't be cool with him travelling for 2 wks in July....meh. uncertainty messes me up.
