Nui Cobalt perfume samples
Apr. 17th, 2023 06:45 pmI was feeling a little bit of 'event drop' on our way home from the cruise on Friday so when I saw an ad for Nui Cobalt Designs perfumes roll across my facebook, I browsed the website and ordered myself a few samples. They arrived today! Very fast! They also sent a freebie sample with the 4 I ordered.

4/19 - soapy floral. fades quickly to a barely-there sweet and clean. It's OK. I don't love it. I'm just going to have to go back to Belize to get the copal soap I loved, if I want a good copal scent on myself.

It was the Darkness that was dancing; I just rode its wake.
Fog machine, clove cigarettes, sweet patchouli, skin-warmed leather, myrrh resin , Cabernet, scarlet musk, and the well-worn wood of the dance floor.
I put this one on first. It sounded so delicious. and it *is*. This is a heavy, delicious fragrance. Nothing stands out particularly, just a smooth, deep, night time scent.Feels ancient, classic, sophisticated. Maybe just a little too adult, not a daily driver type scent. Still, I love it.
~ Mnemophilia ~
Old chests filled with sepia photographs, a veil of chantilly lace, the brittle pages of a diary, and the patina of relentless time.
Stately gardenia, antique sandalwood, Florentine iris, pearl musk, jasmine absolute, neroli, and liquidambar.
Wear to connect with ancestral guides, to access genetic memory, and to retrieve what's been forgotten.

A gently enlivening scent to wake you up and set the mind astir. It imparts a balanced sense of calm clarity so that you feel well-rested, focused, and alert. Egyptian cotton, pale driftwood, white pepper, green cardamom, and a slender wisp of copal smoke.

4/18 - tried this one next. Overwhelming honey and fruit to start, rather unpleasant, headache-inducing sweetness. Scent turns to an overly sweet caramel, then mellows to a generic sweet gourmand/floral sort of thing. Not a favorite.
