she annoyed me today for some reason.
===============
evile: hey :) The mammogram yesterday wasn't so bad.
SkyeDS: that's good. I thought I had been told you had to have them
yearly or so after the age of 35, and that I certainly would need
them given my size, but Planned Parenthood said otherwise.
evile: Mom says every 5 years unless your Dr. says your'e at risk
SkyeDS: I would think I would be <shrug> but I'm not going till they
say I have to
SkyeDS: of course I did not like the last NP at ALL
evile: *nod*
evile: I think most Drs say get your first at 40, unless you have
family history or othe rhealth problems. Endometriosis apparently is
a risk factor, so my Dr. said 35.
evile: It really wasn't too bad, not too much squishing. The bottom
plate was cold metal, but the top one was clear plastic. The tech was
a nice lady, possibly a lesbian, but did not behave inappropriately
or make me uncomfortable in any way.
evile: My left boob is a little tender today, but I'm also having my
period, so...
SkyeDS: they know I have endo
SkyeDS: although they keep saying, well, it could be fibroids and we
don't know if we don't go in
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: like I care, birthcontrol pills make it manageable, I'll take
it
SkyeDS: not very happy that red wine and chocolate weekend starts
tomorrow and I'm already suffering
evile: maybe the difference is I had surgery & removal of organs as a
result of endometriosis? Higher risk for further problems? or maybe
just a different Dr. and his/her opinion based on what they know or
believe they know. *shrug*
SkyeDS: you h ave good doctors, PP is a crap shoot
SkyeDS: of course all I want from t hem is my pills, that's all, it
isn't hard
evile: *nod* I liked the PP folks in Greencastle, believe it or not.
SkyeDS: I've had people at PP I loved, and people I hated
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: now that they seem to be straight about my BP
SkyeDS: turns out, it wasn't even white coat hypertension
SkyeDS: they were using the wrong size cuff
SkyeDS: it took a $70 trip to Dr. Center to get that straightened out
evile: *nod* that sucks.
SkyeDS: after the $70 trip to the St David's doc (I liked her) and
the week of lowest dosage possible zestril (bp med) to fake out Dr.
Thompson
SkyeDS: and the lowest dosage possible of zestril completely
destroyed my metabolism, which had just been starting to respond
quite nicely to diet and exercise
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: nice to know I took a week of a controlled substance because
of a wrong sized cuff
SkyeDS: I want to buy a black arab stallion for 5K (sigh)
evile: nice.
SkyeDS: <arches eyebrow to hairline>
SkyeDS: Silver Spire isn't coming at all?
SkyeDS: they who like to field 90 and brag?
evile: CRW thing? Maybe that will make it nicer for everyone else.
SkyeDS: nah.
SkyeDS: Sharjinka and Patrick are going to get into it I suspect
SkyeDS: or come close enough to make for unpleasantness
evile: Sharjinka is just going for the day Saturday.
SkyeDS: how long do you think she needs to piss someone off
SkyeDS: or say something that gets overheard and passed along.
evile: don't know, dont' care.
SkyeDS: me neither. just a niggling feeling, very vague.
SkyeDS: hope it doesn't, but it won't surprise me if it does.
evile: some shit always goes down at CRW.
SkyeDS: besides, unless CRW gets better organized we might not ever
make CRW again
SkyeDS: I'm not skipping Faires for CRW, and we're signed on to five
out of the eight faires in the state right now
evile: *nod* Sharjinka says this is probably her last. She's not
taking any more squires, and may be phasing HFS out of her life
altogether at some point.
SkyeDS: event season is starting and I probably won't see much of HFS
generally until after Thanksgiving
SkyeDS: I'll take Chris and Jubi with me to SCA events, and go to
Morconor (Waco Shire) with them on Saturdays
SkyeDS: if there are any free Saturdays
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: "No Time" ~ Monkees
evile: staying busy means you stay out of trouble :P
SkyeDS: does it? <looks innocent>
evile: well, maybe not 'you' specifically, but in general ;)
SkyeDS: (-:O <halo>
evile: heh. I have one of those. It has "Better to reign in Hell than
serve in Heaven" engraved on the inside.
SkyeDS: I should get "I didn't do it" engraved on the inside of mine
evile: heh. that would be good :)
SkyeDS: I didn't do it ~fine print~no really, this time, I didn't
evile: thereyago :)
SkyeDS: rather it wasn't me, this time
evile: *yawn* we had birthday fatass day at work today, and I didn't
touch the desserts, but I'm still feeling bloated & carb-coma ish.
SkyeDS: drink more water
SkyeDS: straight cranberry juice (no s ugar or other juices) if you
can get it/if you can stand it
SkyeDS: I have to lace mine pretty heavily with stevia
evile: *nod* cranberry is pretty harsh.
evile: My friend Fade is looking for a new GF.
http://geeks.particularpersonals.com/view.html?id=44264
evile: Bless his heart. There's just something so...wrong...with over-
30 goths.
SkyeDS: I got called a Goth for the first time before I turned 30
SkyeDS: because I happened to be in black at the time
SkyeDS: I wear a lot of black, it's a conservative business color and
slimming
evile: he's lovely, and great in the sack, but the graveyard lurking
is so 1988.
SkyeDS: I was like, wtf? I had never heard the term before in
its "modern" usage
evile: you can take the gal out of texarkana, but cant' take
texarkana out of the girl? :P
SkyeDS: well, the modern subculture has no idea what "Goth" in the
time of Gothic truly was
SkyeDS: or who the original Germanic tribes were
SkyeDS: but besides that.
SkyeDS: I don't see myself as Goth even though I now know what is
meant by it.
evile: *nods* I don't think you like any 'gothic' music at all.
SkyeDS: yes, I am a witch, yes I wear black - for business purposes,
not witchy purposes
SkyeDS: I haven't heard much of it, I wouldn't know
SkyeDS: I'm familiar with Type O, I like them fine
SkyeDS: but I believe that's it, I'd have to see a list to know
evile: I wouldn't consider them, or Marilyn Manson 'goth'
necessarily. But some do.
SkyeDS: apparently that's what they bill themselves as, or so I've
been told, I don't know, I don't care.
evile: *nod* I like them both, but to me 'goth' is Sisters of Mercy,
Bauhaus, Fields of the Nephilim, maybe Cocteau Twins, the softer,
more atmospheric, poetic, dark, slow type of music.
SkyeDS: don't know I've ever heard any of those
SkyeDS: there's very little I don't like by way of music
SkyeDS: other than the hiphop that focuses on rape, abuse, and killing
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: atmospheric, poetic, dark and slow sounds good to me
SkyeDS: I wonder how long it would take sineater to kill me if I bought a
circus tent
evile: you might like some of it, but you might not. No harm, no foul.
evile: not sure aobut the circus tent.
SkyeDS: only $13,691.92
evile: jeez.
SkyeDS: that's for 60 by 120 feet, pole
SkyeDS: excuse me
SkyeDS: 16795.60 (I was incorrect the first time)
evile: I'd probably hold off on such an investment for a bit, were it
me.
SkyeDS: um yeah. was just pipedreaming anyway.
evile: If i had 16 grand to throw around, I'd get a Vanner :)
evile: assuming I already had new furniture, new roof, guest bath
remodeled, etc.
SkyeDS: breed Mirage, 1200 and change, breed Jesse, 750
SkyeDS: new truck, between 30 - 50K
SkyeDS: new trailer, who knows
SkyeDS: before I can afford 16 K for a Friesian or a Gypsy
SkyeDS: I also want an Andalusian, and either a Shire or a Perch
evile: *nod*
evile: I'm happy--nobody has flamed me for the inappropriate touch
posts, OR the rebel poly dinner location for tonight.
SkyeDS: nice to be dealing with adults innit?
SkyeDS: nobody flamed me on the joust list either
evile: good :)
evile: darn this RL stuff anyhoo...I'd rather be doing something fun.
*sigh*
SkyeDS: amen, sister
SkyeDS: having black forest ham, swiss cheese and apples for lunch,
and it's not bad
evile: sounds yum.
SkyeDS: sineater wants to know if you have [K/mom]'s cell phone number,
would it be okay for him to call her
evile: she is on hte bus at the 'mo, may not have reception, and I
know she's screening calls so as to avoid contact w/[brother A] and [rubber pig].
BUT her # is xxx xxx xxxx, if he wants to try to call her.
SkyeDS: I just noticed this
evile: ?
SkyeDS: the character dances in the Nutcracker are known by two names
SkyeDS: for example, spanish, arab, chinese
SkyeDS: chocolate, coffee, tea
SkyeDS: very appropriate to represent the travels of gypsies.
evile: that's cool.
SkyeDS: having one's own personal hairdresser and masseuse walk into
one's office at 3 pm when the boss is already gone is nice
evile: I wouldn't know. I would probably freak if TIna or someone
from Body and soul or The Crossings came into my cube :P
evile: time for me to skedaddle, enjoy your haircut & massage. :)
