Ciao!
Pictures of my Vespa here, I am sure a name will come, and a little
custom paint job as well, in time, but I love the lines as it is, so
very European. I'll have to accessorize come the fall, the gloves,
boots, black turtlenecks, scarves and long leather coats.
The title is on it's way so I can register it, but I've been tooling
around the local streets and the parking lot at the entrance to
Breakheart Reservation just down the road. It's definitely no
motorcycle, but it's extremely fun, a different kind of ride. My feet
still want to do more than just sit on the platform, it is
ridiculously easy to drive and manoeuver, and is small and nimble
enough that 30 actually feels fast. I did plenty of figure eights and
serpentines in the lot to get a feel for the bike, and even got a
round of applause from an entire baseball team after "jumping" a
speedbump ... now I can't wait for that title to arrive so I can take
it to the castle and all over the roads. I could now, but we're not
exactly a common sight, and it's totally unregistered.

The car has been dropped off at the garage for a sensor to be replaced
(le sigh), hopefully I'll get it back before the morning is done, lots
to do tomorrow, and what may be the busiest (and earliest) work week
in a long time just ahead.

Interesting thing here, I've not worn my suntacts since the first week
I had them, I stubbornly have been wearing regular lenses and have
suffered no migraines or eye pain at all thus far. Having excellent
sunglasses always at hand helps, of course, and my eyes will still
water in bright light, but this is the first year I haven't needed the
suntacts to merely go outside in the sunlight or the glare of night
traffic ... almost wish I could have that money back that I had to
spend on the suntacts, the disposeable lenses I am trying are a
perfect fit and so much cheaper.

A friend brought your LJ to my attention. She discovered it through
the circuitous route we both like to follow, reading journals of
friends of our friends.
As we have so much in common, and I find what you have to say
fascinating, I have friended you.

Welcome, I've friended you back, you'll get along quite well over
here, great interest list. Is that your ranch linked on your page? It
sounds like a great place for horses?

In comparison with that which you are accustomed, my little place
isn't much...but, the horses are happy, healthy and thriving, and
that's enough :).
I have two battlemares, a moongray Hamdani Egyptian Arab (sired by
Thee Minstril) named Mirage, and a gaited oldstyle Morgan named
Jezebel. After I get them both successfully bred, then I plan to
acquire a Friesian, a Gypsy (drum, cob or vanner), an Andalusian and a
Percheron, not necessarily in that order.
It is my very great pleasure to "meet" you :D

Hey, it's YOURS, and that's more than I have. I like the sound of your
plan.
