evile: hey :) Missed ya yesterday!
SkyeDS: I was home sick and didn't get here till 4:30
SkyeDS: wouldn't have come in at all but I had to drive sonar0m into
    town anyway
evile: yucky. I hope you're feeling better today.
SkyeDS: and Dear Boss's day went to hell in a handbasket pretty
rapidly and stayed there all day from what I understand :|
    evile: that sucks! Poor guy!
    SkyeDS: how's stuff wit u?
evile: Ok. Had a nice time at Scarby, had a good time at Girls Night.
    SkyeDS: :)
evile: Chance made lots of new friends. I was surprised at how many
people behaved offensively towards her, though.
evile: I guess there are good reasons I've been obese & worn baggy
    tops my entire adult life
SkyeDS: what kind of behaved offensively
evile: Very obvious, gross leering, and one guy yelled "hey, purple
dress!" and then "HEY!! BOOBS!!!" at her, when she didn't respond.
(she didn' respond to either. Classy gal. I wanted to cut his nuts
    off.)
SkyeDS: nods. I'm familiar with that.
evile: Glad I'm too fat & plain for all that & always have been.
SkyeDS: it doesn't matter how fat or plain the rest of you is when
people are fixated on visible cleavage.
SkyeDS: if it did, I wouldn't be getting the same.
SkyeDS: <more fat and plain t han you.
evile: Other than faire, and 1 or 2 ohter special occasions I don't
    do visible cleavage.
    SkyeDS: exactly.
evile: i wonder if I got fat and started dressing bad as a rsult of,
or just as a preemptive thing from unconscious observation of the
    nasty people in tis world?
SkyeDS: it has been said, "it isn't what you're eating, it's what's
    eating you"
SkyeDS: I think it's a synergistic effect of multiple causes
SkyeDS: a) what drives you to eat when you're not hungry
    SkyeDS: b) what you're eating
    SkyeDS: c) exercise
evile: I am just as glad NOT to be conventionally attractive, after
    Saturday.
SkyeDS: if I a) medicate myself with food every time a family member
upsets me and b) medicate myself with chocolate cake dipped in butter
and c) don't ever exercise, well...
evile: well, foo, my launchcast just died. I need to restart. BRB.

evile: argh. My work computer has been acting goofy all morning.
    SkyeDS: :(
evile: We have antivirus stuff at work, but sometimes I worry that
    isn't enough.
evile: Oh, well. Anyway: Scarby. I got to see Kyleigh, Rengeek & Loa,
ran into Joe (from Drandmir), saw a couple of shows, shopped, and
generally had a nice time. Chance did, too. She deals with rudeness
    much better than I do.
    SkyeDS: :D
evile: I mean, 95% of the people we ran into and talked with were
perfectly lovely, why should we let a measly 5% ruin our day, ya
    know? Makes sense.
evile: The leather rose has new barettes this year with little bats
on them--precious! And there's a new art gallery up near the front
gate that had some lovely stuff: http://www.lawilliams.com/
SkyeDS: deciding what you're going to remember is an intentional act
    evile: *nod*
evile: Kyleigh, Rengeek, and Loa are all going to be back at faire
final weekend. Kyleigh offered me crash space at her hotel room, and
Rengeek & Loa have an extra RV spot at their campground. I need to
run it past Sweetie and see what he wants to do Memorial Day weekend, if
    anything.
evile: Oh, and Jinx said she wants to go.
SkyeDS: we have not begun to think about MD or my birthday
SkyeDS: MD weekend also our anniversary
    evile: *nod*
evile: We just started talking about what we might want to do for our
    anniversary (June 3)
evile: He used all his PTO helping his mom move, so we won't be able
to take that day off for 6 Flags or anything. So maybe just dinner at
the Melting Pot, or the town lake bat cruise thing, or ??? I dunno.
    SkyeDS: Melting Pot yum
    SkyeDS: that's a good idea
SkyeDS: there are houseboats on town lake no? and the hill country
    flyer
SkyeDS: and there's always Dreamers and the adult multiplex south of
    william cannon <ducks and runs>
    evile: that there is. :P
SkyeDS: one could rent a room at the Driskill or Judge's Mansion
(whatever it's called, the gorgeous hotel & restaurant on MLK)
evile: Yeah, I think I mentioned that, didn't get much of a reaction.
SkyeDS: I have no idea what gets reactions from Sweetie
SkyeDS: and I'm not the world's greatest Romantic anyway
evile: He would probably like the train.
evile: Girls night was cool; we were amused that once the initial
drama passed, nobody but the original bitches shows up anyway.
evile: Nikiyoy brought this mini Jenga thing, that had questions written
on each piece. So you'd get your piece and then ask the question of
the person of your choice. It was fun.
evile: I still haven't actually walked through the whole store yet.
But the rooftop patio was *awesome*. We are thinking of proposing
that it be the location of another 'fixed' polydinner. Then there'll
only be 2 that Jason & Sam can possibly screw up. We'll have to
think of a nicer way to put that....
    SkyeDS: lol
evile: The rooftop patio is accessible by stairs from the outside, so
    it doesn't close, either.
evile: & they seemed more laid back than the Central Market folks
about people just sitting around & talking after the store is closed.
evile: The playscape is also more visible to the dining tables up
there. We figure if we can get the Breeders of the group on board
with this plan we'll be SET.
evile: And/or get  ladydreamtime to run it past Jason, since apparently Jason
    wants ladydreamtime bad.
evile: The direct, honest approach didn't work, so I don't have many
qualms about busting out the big guns, so to speak.
    SkyeDS: nodnods
evile: I hate politics...but I sometimes catch myself being sort of
    good at this group-crap.
SkyeDS: every so often I find myself leading a group and I'm always
like how the fuck did I get here?
    evile: yup :)
evile: I like organizing, I just don't like bossing.
evile: I spent a lot of yesterday making up my menu for the 23rd
evile: Admittedly, I stole from banana. His trip to Spain inspired me
    a little.
evile: Sangria, Spiced Potato Chips, Marinated Olives, served with
toasted salted almonds & caperberrie, A couple kinds of Spanish
Cheese (Manchego, Tetilla and ___?), Turkey Meatballs with Sangria
BBQ sauce, Grilled Serrano-wrapped shrimp, spinach, potato & onion
Tortilla (a 'tortilla' is like a Spanish Fritatta) & Red Velvet
    Cupcakes
    SkyeDS: tapas = yum
evile: Yeah. I figured finger-food type stuff would be best.
SkyeDS: carpet cleaners are here (sigh)
SkyeDS: gots to make meself skerce
evile: Ok. Have fun running away!
    SkyeDS: riiiight

Got home from girls night and Sweetie had cleaned off the table & was
doing laundry, and apparently putting it away in the closet!!

I hate it that for him, cleaning and being angry, ashamed, whatever,
    are linked in his mind.
