Sineater: think i missed part of that :/
    Sineater: plan?
evile: I talked to Mom and Nana yesterday after work. Sunday is fine,
they don't have any plans that we need to work around, so we can show
    up any old time.
evile: Mom says if Rubber_Pig's baby comes, she'll go to San Antonio right
away, but since I told Nana I was coming on Sunday, I will be there,
    regardless.
Sineater: sounds good. did you have a time in mind?
    Sineater: good idea
evile: Maybe we could aim for lunchtime-ish, take the ladies out for
    a little lunch?
Sineater: nana will be happy to see you, too :)
    Sineater: kk
evile: I know. I feel bad because I hardly ever see the Houston fam,
Sineater: question, would you be picking me up?
Sineater: well, me neither :( or at least not as often as i ought to
evile: If you are in Austin Saturday to work on the infernal trailer,
maybe you could pack an overnight bag and sleep over?
    Sineater: hmm
evile: And then I take you back to R-dale Sunday?
evile: It's totally up to you. With sufficient planning, I can be
    anywhere at any given time.
Sineater: that will work... we'll be at the trailer that evenig, then
probably out for dinner. i can be at your place after that
    evile: Okeydoke.
evile: I will need to print out some directions before the weekend.
    Sineater: kk
Sineater: say, we'll be at central market sat evening. they've had
good bands there last couple of times we've been. want to join us?
evile: Everytime I go to Houston, it looks different & I end up
    feeling lost.
    Sineater: same here!
evile: What time do you think you'll be at CM?
Sineater: probably 6 or 7 ish. when the light fails
    evile: *nod*
Sineater: though, should warn you, it does get crowded when the band
starts, and we will have arthur there
evile: Not a fan of crowds, but I could make a try at it :)
Sineater: so far they haven't thrown us out :)
evile: I missed my CM fix on the 2nd
Sineater: it's not a huge crowd, but with the small patio it gets a
little cramped. so far though people have been polite
    evile: that's good.
Sineater: ooh, heated patio, too! :)
    evile: Yeah.
Sineater: las sat was a mariachi(esque) band, called son y no son.
they were interesting. played with the genres some. played different
latin, south american, and cuban stuff
Sineater: before that was some swing band that sang a lot about
    cocaine :)
evile: Not my fave, but is usually lots more fun live than recorded.
    Sineater: true
evile: So what else is going on in your world? How's prospects
    w/ajilion?
Sineater: iffy... but they are supposed to have more stuff coming in
    evile: *fingers crossed*
evile: I see a lot of activity on the Capital ARea Job Club, but it
seems they are postings for very specific kinds of things
(programming in XYZPDQ language only, etc.)
    Sineater: nodnod
Sineater: tech jobs are out there, just a matter of catchnig them
    evile: yeah.
evile: AMD might be posting someting in Sweetie's area soon. One of his
coworkers got into it with the supervisor and quit.
evile: it's in S. austin, so would be a hell of a commute for you,
    though...
Sineater: shrug, if it pays enough :)
    evile: There is that.
Sineater: occurs to me. if [the rubber pig] goes into [spawn] this
weekend, and K/Mom takes off, who's going to take care of nana?
evile: I guess we'll burn that bridge when we come to it.
evile: It may turn out to be a blessing in disguise that you're not
working FT right now...if it comes to that.
Sineater: for that matter, if [the rubber pig] goes into [spawn] any
time before some other arrangement is made, and K/Mom leaves, nana
    will still be left alone
Sineater: umm. i do not wish to be put in that position. how am i
supposed to interview for austin jobs if i am in houston?
Sineater: but, you're right... we'll burn that bridge when we come to
    it
    evile: yup.
Sineater: besides, i can bet dad has already thoguht of that
    possibility
evile: Mom said they were interviewing another home health person
today & she's really hoping this one works out.
    Sineater: good! :)
Sineater: so hard to find good white help these days
evile: Mom made it sound like there was a $ issue too.
Sineater: i bet there was. i have no idea what nana's financial
    situation is
Sineater: it's not that i would not stay, if that situation arose. i
would jsut prefer for that situation not to arise.
evile: I know Stepdad has been throwing $ at all of the Houston
relatives left and right- Kate's health stuff, etc.
evile: and supporting Mom while she does...whatever...
    Sineater: nod
evile: I guess this is the suck part of being an adult, eh?
Sineater: he also got made nana's attorney in the event of. because
apparently neither katy nor Uncle B would do it.
Sineater: no kidding. is it too late to regress back to childhood?
evile: I'm sure that's frustrating for him. I can see Kate not
wanting to, since she's not in the best of health herself. But Uncle B
could have taken on that responsibility. (well, now he's overseas,
    but in general)
Sineater: think kate may not have wanted to confront the possibility.
she has always handled things very well when she's had to. but,
sometimes she doesn't want to. i can understand that
Sineater: Uncle B in recent years (since his grand fucking over by teri)
seems to have regressed back to his own younger behavior, which
wasn't too different from Brother A's in a lot of ways
evile: Yeah...what is it about that younger brother syndrome?
    Sineater: shrug
evile: Uncle Bubba's got it too....
    Sineater: nod, true
evile: I would have said it's a 'baby' thing, but Brother A is the middle
child, and our 'baby' is out on her own, working and paying her own
    way through college.
Sineater: i know. it seems to be specific to younger brothers...
thoguh in some families it's the younger sister, usually if there is
    no younger brother
    evile: *nod*
    evile: very frustrating.
evile: well, crap. 4pm, time for me to get a move on.
    Sineater: good luck :)
    evile: I won't move too fast. ;P
evile: *hugs* talk at ya later!
    Sineater: :*)

    evile: happy hump day :)
SkyeDS: how do :) did a brief once over of all those checklists, and
our little family ain't doin bad 'tall, so that was happy making
    evile: good.
evile: that quiz didn't come out for me. Oh well.
SkyeDS: I have to admit that having read three other responses to
that quiz, and then taking it myself, I did have some clue of how it
worked, so my choice of music was influenced
    evile: *nod*
    evile: I couldn't think of 3 songs.
SkyeDS: songs were hard for me because I always have so many in my
    head
evile: heh. I only have whatever's on launchcast at the moment, it's
hard to think of other songs while one is playing.
SkyeDS: I've had billy joel and simon&garfunkel on the brain lately
    (to and from work drive)
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I would like so much to see cirque de soleil's cavalia
    evile: that's very odd.
    SkyeDS: why
evile: the people who started cirque were against mainstream circus
stuff because of the use of animals....
SkyeDS: I would still like to see Cavalia
evile: It does sound cool. Just not quite what I'd come to expect
    from Cirque.
SkyeDS: much of it is at liberty (my training method)
SkyeDS: I'm sure the cirque use of the horses isn't anything like
    traditional circus use of horses
evile: wow...it's cheap compared to a regular cirque du soleil show!
evile: The 'VIP' for Varekai was something like $215, the comparable
package for Cavalia is only $165
SkyeDS: stupid ?: do t hey tour or do you go to them
SkyeDS: I could have sworn that tent of theirs was in Dallas
evile: Varekai is coming to Austin
evile: It is a traveling show (unlike Mystere or O, which are in
    custom-build stages/theatres)
SkyeDS: I see them in Phoenix now
SkyeDS: dammit, had I known it was in Dallas at the time :(
evile: the cirque du soleil website is helpful on that kind of stuff.
SkyeDS: maybe more helpful than the cavalia site itself
evile: I'd never heard of Cavalia before you mentioned it...I havent
looked at the Cirque website in a while, though.
evile: flight from Austin to Phoenix , plus hotel is $248
SkyeDS: not a trip I can afford to make any time soon with the
    trailer situation
evile: me, neither. But it would be cool.
    SkyeDS: www.cirquedesoleil.com ?
    evile: almost.http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/cirquedusoleil/default.htm
evile: Doesn't look like they've got a link to Cavalia at all.
evile: I wonder if it's a thing like the "world famous lippizaners"
and the "royal lippizzaners"--one not affiliated iwth the other but
trading on the brand name recognition
SkyeDS: the producer is a cirque person, maybe working solo on this
    one
SkyeDS: like, Stevie Nicks solo v FleetWood Mac
evile: sort of like "From the director of __-famous movie-___, comes
    _-unknown_"
    evile: http://www.circuswatchwa.org/Cirque_du_Soleil.htm
evile: This article says they plan to tour the US for 3 yrs. So
hopefully they'll get a little closer before they close :)
SkyeDS: I think they were already in Dallas :(
evile: They may be again... *mental note to watch their website*
SkyeDS: would help if they'd list all their tour dates and venues
instead of just where they are currently
    evile: yeah.
evile: Boss just brought me a case I did wrong with big snarky notes
all over it. I guess since I have a less than 3 percent error rate,
my boss feels she has to beat me into the dirt on each and every one
of those mistakes. It does get old...*sigh*
    SkyeDS: :(
evile: And then the program we use to do our data entry isn't
allowing me to follow her directive on how to change/fix the thing.
    fuck.
evile: It keeps asking if I want to save changes, I click 'yes' and
    nothing happens. fuuuuuuuuck.
SkyeDS: I would take that problem to her and see if she knows how to
    fix it
evile: fuck that. I dont' care to be excorciated any more today.
    SkyeDS: point
evile: I talked to my mom & Nana last night, looks like Sunday is a
go, assuming Rubber_Pig doesn't pop her pod and make Mom go running off to
    SA
SkyeDS: Nana needs K/Mom more regardless
evile: Mom told me she's leaving as soon as the sprog arrives,
whether they've got a home health aide hired or not.
evile: I guess babies are cuter than 80 year old women.
SkyeDS: I don't understand the logic of that, but that's just me
evile: It made me furious, personally, but I am not terribly
objective about my mother's fixation with this whore and her cunt-
    products
evile: My mate's mother would have FAR more call to obligate me,
IMHO, than some offspring of questionable parentage.
SkyeDS: I don't believe I would want to be a fly on the wall when she
    makes that pronouncement to Stepdad.
evile: Well, I'm sure Stepdad is aware of Mom's priorities. And like the
rest of us, not a goddamned thing he can do about it.
SkyeDS: I'm still glad I wasn't privvy to that particular
    conversation.
evile: yup. Here's my thing, though--with the 'high risk' pregnancy,
she is going to be in the hospital for a couple days after the
birth...so she won't actually NEED mom right away, mom just WANTS to
    be there.
evile: whereas Jackie DOES need her, until the family can interview
    and hire a suitable aide.
    SkyeDS: poor Nana
SkyeDS: why is it high risk
evile: Honestly, I have no idea. I have just heard that it is. here
is what I hear when she talks: Rubber_Pig: "blabla bla bla miscarriage
bleeding ER, bla bla bla hysterical story du jour, bla"
evile: Since D. called bullshit on Rubber_Pig's "14 miscarriage + home
birth" story, I have tuned subsequent chapters of the Rubber_Pig Saga out
SkyeDS: Kelly said it was bullshit too. I always thought it was,
having nearly miscarried only once myself, and having no wish to go
    through that again
evile: bottom line is, I dont' care. Other than the fact that that
creature is threatening my family integrity and my brother's
life...and I can't really think about that too much because it pisses
    me off too much.
evile: I hope the fuckin' thing is born dead. And that's a horrible
way to think about a baby, but there it is.
    SkyeDS: poor Nana :(
    evile: yup.
evile: I'm going on Sunday, regardless. I told Nana I would be
there, and even if Mom's not, I will be.
    SkyeDS: that's a wonderful idea
evile: It's been way too long since I've visited the houston fam,
    anyway.
evile: Aunt L wants the baby to be born on Mom's bday (the 14th)...I'm
thinking that's a shitty idea, because when Rubber_Pig completes her
pattern and dumps Brother A and shuts him out of her life, that will not
only rip out Mom's heart, but step on it, too.
SkyeDS: why would hsaring a birthday be good for anyone for any reason
evile: I have no idea. I guess Aunt L just thought it would be "cute"
evile: From waht I understand, Rubber_Pig went off to the ER sometime
around Xmas and the ER staff was so sick of her by that point that
they said "Look, if you come in here with 'labor pains' again, we're
just going to give you a C section right then and there"...amazingly
enough, all trips to the ER have ceased since then.
    SkyeDS: ROFL
evile: I am just appalled that anyone would sink so low (and waste SO
MUCH of the taxpayers' money!!!) just to get fuckin' attention. Sick
    and sad.
    SkyeDS: are they on welfare?
SkyeDS: I had to pay for my ER trip on my birthday
    evile: Medicare, I think.
SkyeDS: <sarcasm> must be nice </sarcasm>
    evile: I guess.
evile: *happy dance* I'm getting an icon like onyxlynxx's :)
SkyeDS: I liked hers a lot
evile: And I'm going to have a nice time Sunday, regardless.
evile: I loved it--it really looks like her...that was just so
amazing to me. He just really captured her personality. I don't
expect mine to be that good, because Michael doesn't know me as well
    as he knows onyxlynxx, obviously.
evile: I don't really do the anthropomorphic animal thing...(pretty
much over my furry phobia, but it's still not anything that interests
    me)
evile: So I told him I like bats, I have 2 cats, and I once had a
hedgehog, my favorite colors are ___, here's some pictures of me I
    like, do what you can.
evile: If I were actually an animal, it would be a sloth or a grackle
    or something similiarly prosaic.
SkyeDS: I would like to be Pegasus
    evile: that'd be cool :)
evile: *sigh* I wish you hadn't shown me that website. Now I want to
    go to Phoenix. *pout*
SkyeDS: I would drive but it's over 1000 miles
SkyeDS: I'm going to kick myself for a long time that htey were in
    Dallas
evile: I found air + hotel for $248 the weekend of the 26th. To me
that seems as economical as driving.
evile: could do that plus VIP for lesst han $500...
SkyeDS: driving to Dallas = cheaper than airfare to phoenix :(
evile: yeah, but Dallas is in the past, and I don't have any websites
    for time machine fares.
    SkyeDS: lol
evile: I will just have to write a note to myself to recheck the
website frequently and book it as soon as it comes close.
SkyeDS: guess I could look for phone number, call and ask
evile: the article I saw said they didn't really have an itenerary,
but do plan on being in the states for 3 yrs. I thought that was
    wierd, but whatever.
    SkyeDS: 3 years?
    SkyeDS: that sounds hopeful :)
evile: If I can just keep myself from being stupid for the rest of
this year, I will have a LOT of disposable income starting in 2006
evile: By the time they make it back to TX , the VIP treatment will
probably be up over $200, but hey, if it's what the market will bear,
I guess tha'ts just the way it is.
SkyeDS: hoping for one or more things to happen: tax refund, sell
trailer for a slight profit, win lawsuit get collection attorney to
    actually collect on it
evile: Any or all of those would be really nice for y'all :)
evile: We see the accountant on the 21st. Hopefully sending Magpies
home to Jesus won't be too traumatic or expensive.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: The past few years, I've been getting back anywhere between
$200 and $700. Any of those amounts would be nice to have.
evile: Looks like sineater and I have a plan-ish thing. He's going to
pack an overnight bag and stay at our place Saturday night, we'll get
up early ish Sunday and go, and then I'll bring him home to Rockdale
    Sunday night
evile: It's four, so I've got to jet. Have a good evening & talk at
    ya tomorrow!
    *hugs*
