    evile: hey :)
    SkyeDS: how do :)
evile: I think I'm getting sick. Damn those germy rugrats.
    SkyeDS: :(
evile: Oh well. We are caught up at work & I have a ton of sick
    leave...
evile: the 350 lb preggo coworker went off to have her baby, or
something, this morning. There was lots of talking & noise, I had to
    turn up my headphones.
SkyeDS: anything to get through the day
    evile: *nod*
evile: I just love how my boss sent out a nasty email to everyone
yesterday about not wasting time & working unless it is break or
lunch, and then she and most of the rest of my unit wasted at least
30 minutes, probably more like 50, gooing and carrying on over preggo
    and her baby shit.
evile: nowhere NEAR a scheduled break time or lunch, BTw.
    SkyeDS: gotta love transference
evile: It's no biggie, we are seriously caught up....but I dislike
    hypocrisy.
    SkyeDS: me 2
evile: How are things at your office?
    SkyeDS: quiet.
SkyeDS: Hugh is out taking care of his dad and I am holding down the
    fort
evile: *nod* Poor guy. I hate it when stuff like that happens around
    the holidays....
SkyeDS: people often choose to die right before/after holidays
evile: I mean it's bad anytime...but it's just really hard to put a
cheerful face on every year when it's the anniversary of a loved
    one's death, ya know?
SkyeDS: unfo, I think Hugh is going to be glad for his father to pass
SkyeDS: along the lines of, don't die mad, just die. please?
evile: If he's been sick for a long time, I can see that. Sometimes
it's a blessing when people finally pass after a long illness.
SkyeDS: it isn't that as much as, Hugh loves his father, but he
    doesn't like him very much.
SkyeDS: he told his wife Joyce about a week ago, "I don't want that
    man dying in my house."
    evile: *nod*
evile: I can certainly understand that feeling.
SkyeDS: hopefully things will not ever degenerate like that with my
parents, even though we haven't had a stellar past.
evile: from your lips to gods ears :)
SkyeDS: well, if Mom is silly enough to leave her golden boy
everything in the will, I will just have to make sure the extensive
    library is already gone.
SkyeDS: he can have the rest.
    evile: *nod*
evile: I absolutely dread the day I have to deal with all of that...
SkyeDS: going to be hard to take care of [K/mom] when TX is so bad for
    her health.
    evile: *shrug*
evile: I think it's more of a preference than a health thing. I know
G[dad] is allergic as hell to Austin and everything in it, cedar fever,
    etc.
SkyeDS: well, Hugh's dad died at 5 am this morning.
    evile: wow.
SkyeDS: well, t hat simplifies my day
evile: I guess you'll be pretty busy.
SkyeDS: "Is Hugh in" No, may I take a message? "Do you know when
he'll be in?" His daddy died at 5 am.
evile: I'm sure he'll be very busy taking care of all the
    arrangements for the next while.
    SkyeDS: ayup
evile: Poor guy. I'm sure it's a bit of a relief & all, but still sad.
SkyeDS: all I can do is make sure the practice is still functioning
smoothly for him. Thankfully, everyone has been very kind and
    professional and courteous so far.
    evile: I'm glad.
SkyeDS: our landlord atty had prepared a new will
SkyeDS: I hope to God it got signed.
    evile: *nod*
evile: Now---do I call in sick tomorrow and make my boss get all
whoopass on the remaining coworkers, or do I keep coming in and
spreading germs around? Either option has its attractions...
    SkyeDS: tough decision
evile: I'm already taking Friday off
SkyeDS: could spread Maximum Germs around today while you have the
chance and then take off tomorrow sick
    evile: *nod*
evile: If I have a choice, I think I'd rather have what the kids had
    than what you had...
    SkyeDS: um, ya.
SkyeDS: I can't think of anyone I would wish what I had on.
evile: [aunt L] said Yummy puked on [brother A] Friday morning, though....so
maybe it's 6 of 1, 1/2 dozen of the other....
SkyeDS: she was already sick on Thursday, who knows
SkyeDS: doctor didn't tell me whether what I had was even bacterial
    or viral.
SkyeDS: gave me an antibiotic, said, it could be one of six different
bacteria, which this will kill any of the six, or it could be viral
    in which case, you're screwed.
    evile: yuck.
evile: At first, I figured it was either allergies or maybe just some
aftermath of making myself behave for the sake of family peace. But
this isn't feeling like my usual 'ceder fever'
SkyeDS: I remember the first time I had cedar fever. It laid my ass
out on the couch for no less than a week at 102.
evile: That was me, about 2 yrs ago. We got something like 5 days in
a row of from work, and I spent them all in the Lazy boy, because I
couldn't lay down flat or I'd drown in snot.
    SkyeDS: I hate that
evile: *nod* me too. Thankfully it's only been that bad once.
evile: I just wish I could do my AM yoga without feeling all sick &
    dizzy.
SkyeDS: nod. I don't like when I have to modify yoga because of my
    monthlies.
    evile: yup...that's just tedious.
evile: I am so ready to go home, take a hot bath, and call it a day.
    SkyeDS: nods :|
evile: Does the main fat flush book have all the stuff about the
trampoline? I checked out a copy of the fitness plan & it's all about
Sun Salutations & jumping on the trampoline.
SkyeDS: it mentions the tramp, but not sun salutations
SkyeDS: mentions tramp and walking and weights
evile: I really kinda want the bouncy shoes....
evile: I like the part of the fitness plan that says you have to get
    massages :)
    SkyeDS: :D
evile: I'm always looking for new fitness stuff to try. I know that
walking an hour a day sheds a pound a week, but that's BORING. I
can't stick with anything if it bores me.
SkyeDS: when I'm a little stronger I want to start walking the
    pasture with the girls.
    evile: *nod*
evile: it's easier when you have company :)
SkyeDS: something tells me will be even easier with treadmill and
    tunes
    evile: heh.
evile: then you won't have to worry about weather, that's for sure.
    SkyeDS: ya
evile: Foo. I'm going to miss the San Antonio rennie gathering on
    Saturday. :(
    SkyeDS: :(
evile: it's every first Saturday (which is also Poly 101 and the
monthly Voyagers party) why don't people space stuff out better!??
SkyeDS: lack of good secretaries :)
    evile: *growl*
evile: I hope the REnnies continue to do first Saturday at Sam's, I
could probably go some other month.
evile: Sam's is where they have Gothfest, so I even know how to get
    there :)
    SkyeDS: :)
evile: I would almost ditch Z helene for Rengeek ...but I was going
to have dinner & go to the bellydance show with e. So... oh well.
There's always a next time, I hope, anyway.
    SkyeDS: he's awfully cute
    evile: *nodnod*
evile: and he's single these days...which I have mixed feelings
about, since his ex wife Pam is a wonderful person, too...
SkyeDS: I remember you said they broke up, and what happened to all
    their stuff they camp with
evile: He was out the same weekend we went to TRF, but we didn't see
    him. :(
    SkyeDS: sunshiny today
SkyeDS: wonder if its freezing out
    evile: 50
SkyeDS: sigh - wish I were outside
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: oh well, after you take off, I'll drive over to SOAH to drop
    off some paperwork
SkyeDS: that's outside, kinda sorta for a little while
evile: nice to get out o fthe office for a bit, anyway.
SkyeDS: would like to have nice weather for the parade, iffn that
    ain't too much to ask.
    evile: something in Rockdale?
    SkyeDS: Friday night.
    evile: oh, cool.
SkyeDS: dry run of stuff on Thu
SkyeDS: the girls likely never speak to me again after
    evile: *nod*
evile: They will probably get over it, though.
SkyeDS: want to ride 38th again, with them lit if they'll do it
    evile: that'd be cool
SkyeDS: Rockdale has a trail of lights (home to home) I should find
    out what it is.
    evile: That's neat :)
evile: we went to the Marble Falls Trail of Lights last year, that
    was really fun
    SkyeDS: M's gramma lives there
evile: the Austin one is just too big, crowded, crazy. (the big
tunnel of lights is cool, but...)
SkyeDS: never seen the Zilker one
    SkyeDS: I'm deprived
evile: Oh well, time to book. We should do the Zilker one if you've
never seen it. I am pretty sure it's no pets, though.
    SkyeDS: prolly
SkyeDS: wind to your wings :)
evile: *hugs* have a good afternoon :)
    SkyeDS: u2!

    me to J-Law:

So, yesterday we were still pretty caught up & pacing ourselves
accordingly, and boss lady sent out a snippy little email about how
we were here to work, and we should be working unless it's break or
    lunchtime, piss piss moan bitch.

So, what does most of my unit waste half an hour on this morning,
with loud noise, talking, laughing, and very obvious standing around?
Nasty talk down lady is apparently leaving now to go and squirt out
her sprog, so all the presents she'd been hoarding at her desk had to
be opened (from approximately 10-10:45 a.m., NOT a scheduled break or
lunch time! IMAGINE THAT!!), and her nasty immigrant trash husband
she got off the internet came up to cart her shit off to wherever.

    Ugh.

Dear E~ I could not find any blue people. The chick flick was
okay, actually, the lack of a logical plot bothered me. But the
clothes were good. It was so good to see you while I was here. The
dinner at your house Sunday was excellent. Good food, good company.
You are right, it is nice to dine with people you actually enjoy. I
left a magazine for you at [aunt L]'s I meant to give you for the next
time you are up in IN. I am off to there tomorrow. I'll call you
    when I land. love, H
