SkyeDS: how you doin?
evile: Hey :)
Better. Mourning but healing. It was needed. Miss Pat sure did know
her stuff...that Tower she drew was dead on.
SkyeDS: sounds like ...
evile: I am going to miss the kids. :( But I don't need that mess in
my life.
SkyeDS: she IS more foolish than I thought.
evile: I think she got more than she bargained for when she sicced
M on me.
SkyeDS: <shakes head> dumb, dumb, dumb
evile: true enough.
evile: He sure as shit scared me to death. I was about 3 heartbeats
away from calling the cops when he called me and said I had 'until
tonight to say goodbye to [his] children'
SkyeDS: has the insane behavior stopped I hope?
evile: haven't heard a peep from them since M's ultimatum. I have
been kind of laying low, not going anywhere they know I'm gonna be
(missed Poly dinner last wednesday, DAMMIT!)...but no more drama. I
guess they got what they wanted out of it.
SkyeDS: I was thinking about going to the gwnn munch saturday. I
hear it moved to Elysium because Le Privilege changed hands.
evile: If I don't end up going to Scarborough I will probably go to
the munch. Last one was pretty dull. But it's good to get more info &
hear the announcements,anyway.
SkyeDS: guess I need to call Elysium and find out what teh cover
charge is.
SkyeDS: hope the weekend is pretty for you if you go to Scarbie.
It's been beautiful here last few days. Going to ask Sineater if he
wants to go to teh park when he gets home.
evile: There wasn't a cover charge for the munch at Le Privilege, and
I don't think the club is open to anyone but GWNN members, so I bet
there won't be one.
SkyeDS: do you think Elysium will do the same for them?
evile: I'm sure.
SkyeDS: that would be nice.
evile: Have you been following all the drama over CRW 6 being a dry
event? silly kids.
SkyeDS: no, I don't read any of my boards like I should, especially
not my spiritual one <hangs head and looks VERY guilty about that
one> where is it giong to be?
evile: Val Verde park in Waco. The site itself is 'dry' when minors
are there, it's not Patrick being a dick. But he *is* kind of being a
dick about it,anyway.
SkyeDS: Val Verde might allow the horses. <perks>
SkyeDS: they have horses there already.
SkyeDS: I suggested Val Verde months ago and everybody shot me down.
evile: Yup. I'd definitely go through ValVerde management first and
then present it as a fait accompli to Patrick afterwards.
SkyeDS: I always do it that way.
SkyeDS: the one time I didn't, well you know what happened.
evile: He is being a dickhead about it. It's very ...wierd. There was
no alcohol allowed at teh state park where we had Drandmir's recent
event. Everyone just kind of dealt with it. I would have enjoyed my
Syrah and enjoyed sharing it & probably (as Catrysa pointed out)
gotten more friendly under its influence, but not having it didn't
kill me or ruin my fun.
evile: And it wasn't like Matt or Thax or Goofy needed to be
dickheads to everybody about it beforehand...it just was a non
alcoholic event due to park policy. No fuss no muss.
SkyeDS: people are going to drink anyway, last CRW was dry, and
people drank, privately in tents.
evile: Patrick is saying that if you drink, anywhere, at all, you and
your kingdom will be ejected from CRW.
SkyeDS: ya know what, someone once told me "I'm a witch, if I want to
wear my athame it won't be seen..." Good luck Pat.
evile: ?? bizarre.
SkyeDS: I'm not taking alcohol, I didn't last time. But someone
will, someone will get away with it.
evile: I guess what is bugging people is that he's preaching
individual responsibility but threatening results to all if one
person breaks the rules. "Am I my brother's keeper" and such.
SkyeDS: that can be effective sometimes, using the peer pressure of
an entire group against the individual, or so they taught in
discipline class at teacher college.
SkyeDS: but it isn't fair, to punish all for the offense of one.
evile: Coach mentality. "We're all going to have to do 20 more situps
because Sky couldn't keep up with the class"...and then everyone
hates Skye instead of the coach who dcided on the punishment. Stupid
& I hate it. I am all for whatever I do causing me to suffer
repercussions, but not the group I 'belong' to.
SkyeDS: I quit going to CMA because I was punished over the
misbehavior of a handful of dogowners.
evile: I'm not renewing my CMA membership. Not worth it.
evile: I'm camping with the OTO in May, and also with the Polys.
That's plenty fun enough for me.
evile: Given her flair for the dramatic, I'm not sure how much of
Sharjinka's stories about out of control drunkenness at Amtgard and
HFS to believe, but it is a concern when dealing with minors.
