I posted in HFS in chaos re: the anti war march on Tues. Got a few
jingo-bells in response, but I'm not going to bother with replying or
defending my position; the protest happened, the nuclear war-heads
weren't there when I was, if they were there at all, and ultimately,
I do respect the people who volunteer to do military service. They
are not the ones responsible for the unwise, greedy decisions of W.&
Co. But they are the ones who are going to fight, kill, die, and/or
live with the consequences of his 'war'.

non BP nook is annoying me: "softwareman" is whining about how
hellish his life with BPD daughter & wife is and he has no family or
friends to help him. People are making suggestions for ways out of
his sick relationship, and he's just whining and saying "no no, i'm
too afraid of what she'll do to me, she'll lie about me and I'll get
put in jail, wah wah" So I told him, "look, you're already IN jail.
Only you didn't get a fair trial and your warden's insane. What's the
worst thing that could happen to you in state jail? At least you'll
get out if you behave." We'll see if he says anything after that. I
understand the need to vent, the occasional need to throw a pity
party, but after a certain point you have to put up or shut up.

Max's Other Kitty is sick--he is having what sounds like kidney
stones, or pre-kidney stones--problems with his urinary tract
& 'sediment' in his bladder. A temporary fix would be a surgery that
would remove most of his bits & make him a 'girl' cat, but the
sediment could build up & block things again. Max is going to have to
decide what to do. Poor Max. Poor Other Kitty.

J's $ for the house fell thru; they're either going to have to find
another deal or come up with 20 grand for down payment & closing
costs. She says if this house doesn't happen, she's getting her own
place in the city. I think that would be very healthy for her and her
bro & mom, even though her mom would wail about being abandoned or
whatever. That situation is so wierd.

So, me: didn't go to poly dinner, combination of being tired and not
wanting to put up with Kili, plus working on my Magpie Fairy puzzle
with Sweetie. Didn't go to the gym. Got KFC and had 3 pc of chicken &
2 beers, watched "Angel" on WB (it sucked, very Dallas), then Jen
called & we talked, and then I went to bed around 11. Up around
5:40, got to work at 6:40, will work 1.5 hours of OT. 13.5 hrs pd OT
this week, will take home about $125 as a result. Somehow just
doesn't feel worth it, but will be nice to have the ca$h, anyway.
