Saturday, 12/6: Recycle TVs (for free) and other electronics
If you have a useless TV lying around, now is the time to recycle it without paying a fee! Electronic waste is the fastest growing waste stream (only 12% gets recycled) and the biggest source of heavy metals in our landfills.
Date: Saturday, December 6, 2008
Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Location: Travis County Expo Center
EVENT: Sony Take Back Recycling Program
Bring in any brand of electronics, such as televisions, computer monitors, computer systems, VCRs, DVDs, cameras, phones, stereo equipment, videogame consoles, keyboards, cables, scanners, printers, fax machines, ink jet and printer cartridges, phones (including cellular) , computer mice and rechargeable batteries will be accepted
Sony hopes to build awareness for the importance of proper e-waste recycling and come closer to its goal of recycling one pound of old consumer electronics for every pound of new product sold.
