What has surprised you the most about me (if anything) since joining my friends list? Was anything completely unexpected or have I always fit the picture of me you have in your head?

I have followed you for a couple of years in cyberspace. I have been surprised by the times that you have forgotten your beauty, your joy, your wide-open-universe.

LJ is the place I often get unpleasant things out, hash them over, find or make peace with them, and get on with my life.

I've been told more than once that the way I come across in my blog is unhappy, angry, negative, combative, etc...and that I'm not really that way in RL at all. I've had one person tell me "hey, I'm unfriending you in LJ but I still like you in RL,"

The written word has no body language...so, yeah, I actually say a LOT of angry, negative things in RL but I usually do it with a smile, a joking tone of voice, or some level of sarcasm that makes people find it "funny" in real life and makes them find it "unpleasant" to read. It's still me, either way.

The world has a lot of good and beautiful things. And the world has a lot of poop. It's mostly a matter of focus.

and not stepping in the poop.
