Seven hundred billion dollars =

$22889.55 for every man woman and child living in America today. (I don't know about you, but almost 23 thousand dollars would do a lot towards easing my financial burdens...)

23 MILLION years of my annual salary. (I did this calculation twice. I still can't believe it. Musta misplaced a decimal point there, somewhere. Or did I? jeezus tapdancing christ)

Almost 40 MILLION Turbo Diesel Volkswagen Beetles

175 BILLION gallons of Diesel fuel, at $4 a gallon

4 MILLION houses just like mine, plus some money to do improvements

7 MILLION full-ride college educations at a private university

A year of health insurance coverage for 92,105,263 people

Give me the money, I can spend it better.

What's more, that's 700 Billion of *our* money. As in, the government wanted to give our money to save business that abjectly failed because of bad business practices. What kind of shit is that?

Well, theoretically, if all those rich assholes lose thier jobs and money, they'll take us all down with 'em. So we better bail 'em out unless we want to be living in shacks and planting potatoes in the yard.

I don't buy it. It's like going out to a fancy restaurant with a bunch of rich people, watching them order everything from apertifs to dessert while you order a salad and water because that's what you can afford, and then when the tab comes, they expect everyone to pay the same percentage ot fthe tab. "your share of the bill is $50"..well, no, because I just ordered a salad...you want all that fancy stuff, you pay for it.

Don't let your mouth write checks your ass can't cash, ya know what I'm sayin'?

A case of "my eyes were bigger than my stomach" perhaps? And is this all "real" money? And where do they keep it? *snark*

Am I the only one who thought the "stimulus" check was a joke when we have (or had all along) a failing economy? So now it's, "Here. Let's give it back." *nosebleed*
