fanbox.com is a password phishing scam

I've been getting a BUNCH of emails at my yahoo.com email address saying that 'so and so on fanbox.com has a question for you'. Then it says something about emailing all your friends to join the fun on fanbox.com. Apparently it is a scam.

I just figure by default that everything on the internet is a scam. Any site that wants any information from me has to convince me that they're legitimate, that they're more concerned about their reputation than in any gains they could get from ripping me off or dicking me over, and that they're offering a service that has value to me. In that order.
