evile: staying busy helps the time pass, though. :)

evile: e. seemed pretty disappointed with the class we went to
last night. My expectations were significantly lower, I think, so I
had a better time. :P
SkyeDS: hope for the best plan for the worst I guess
evile: something like that, I guess.
evile: It was very relaxing, and I enjoyed the visualizations he led
us through.
SkyeDS: he must have been good, because I know you didn't like
Peter's meditation style.
evile: Well, this wasn't a 'clear your mind' thing, this was
a 'picture ___' thing, and I'm better with that.
SkyeDS: that's more like what we use in the veglione ritual

evile: I am pretty easy to hypnotize, but I could tell I wasn't
taking it too seriously when my Guardian Spirit appeared as Mr.
Rogers.
SkyeDS: I've been asked to talk at Baylor about being a witch.
evile: so I read in your LJ. that should be fun.
SkyeDS: I thought it would all be question and answer. Now I find
I'm supposed to talk for half an hour first.
SkyeDS: I'm not too sure about that.
evile: I'm sure you can do it :)
evile: I felt insanely guilty when we did partner work and I pulled
stuff out of my ass that made the other person go 'wow' or feel
happy...I really felt like I was lying to or cheating them.
evile: Like I told one lady that her romantic interest was 'rob'
or 'robert' and she was all happy because that was her ex that she
was still interested in and friendly with...ack.
SkyeDS: it wasn't your intent to lie or cheat was it?
evile: no...
evile: And when I drew a blank, I just said so. Which was
disappointing, I'm sure, but...I didn't make up anything.
evile: (deliberately on purpose, that is, but the subconscious mind
is an amazing thing)
SkyeDS: Joanie [sineaters mom/skye's MIL] used to get all over my case when I was reading on the
phones
evile: I was amused when my male partner read 'black' as the color of
my 2nd chakra (womb/procreation/creativity)
SkyeDS: my stance is this: I don't make them call me. I give genuine
readings. I have genuine talent. I make people feel better, often
after they're at the end of their rope, when the priest, the doctor,
the lawyer, the shrink, and their friends and family can't help them
anymore.
evile: *nod*
evile: it's not like Joe Nichols was extorting or pressureing anyone
to be there, so if they want to throw their money at him, they're all
adults, they can do whatever the want
evile: I had to laugh though, Elena thought he
was 'mercenary'...which, if she's picking up on it, must be very
glaringly obvious.
evile: Oh well. I was entertained, I got my $s worth.
SkyeDS: people who believe readings should be free call me mercenary
SkyeDS: I feel about that the way I feel about Jewel's philosophy
about income
SkyeDS: if you believe that you should give away 60% of your income
to others, go for it
evile: I think if you're going to offer a service, why not try and
make a livelihood from it.
SkyeDS: don't legislate your feelings onto me though
evile: but there's a difference between gaining a livelihood and
cheating people. As long as people stay on the side of the line, I
have no problem with whatever they want to do for $.
evile: And I really don't see much difference between paying a
psychic and paying a shrink.
SkyeDS: there isn't any.
evile: I personally wouldn't do either, but if either one can help
you help yourself, by all means, go and pay them what their time is
worth.
SkyeDS: zactly
evile: Oh well. If this class gave Elena more impetus to trust her
own instincts, it's a good thing.
SkyeDS: well if you don't trust your own, you're screwed, unless
there's always someone else around whose you trust
evile: yup
SkyeDS: I hate clients that call and do nothing but yap when I need
to go... :(
evile: yup
SkyeDS: I hope this woman doesn't think I'm asking too much, but if
she could provide me with just the tiniest video of her horse moving,
it would save us all the time trouble and expense of a trip.
SkyeDS: a trip to the place in TX is one thing, a trip to the place
in IA is another
evile: *nod*
evile: Ugh. fishing for drama. someone posts in their LJ that they're
a bad friend and bla bla...I think looking for "oh, no, you're
great"...I think they will be surprised when nobody responds.
SkyeDS: lol yawns
evile: yup, pretty much.
SkyeDS: watch your thoughts, they turn into words, watch your words,
they turn into deeds, watch your deeds, they turn into character
evile: actually it was 'i'm a bad freind' and then a bunch of
excuses...
evile: You find/make the time for the things & people that are
important, IMHO.
evile: I won't say that it doesn't hurt, but I will say I'm pretty
used to it. Actually, I won't say either to the person trolling for
drama/validation :P
SkyeDS: only thing I have to say about LJ drama is...if some of these
people only knew...
evile: crap. my computer just did a weird error message re: firewall.
Usually this means reboot if I want music.
evile: I still seem to be on ICQ....wtf.
SkyeDS: dunno
evile: and now it's working again, apparently. bizarre.
SkyeDS: puter = strange and exotic creature
evile: yup
SkyeDS: with regard to Fear and God, I had a thought
SkyeDS: God helps those who help themselves
SkyeDS: therefore one shouldn't rely on God to keep one from living
under a bridge
evile: yup
evile: But how far do we trust God/Universe? Do what you love and the
money will follow hasn't worked for me, ever ever ever.
SkyeDS: I don't trust that far either, I work a day job to pay for my
other hobbies, AND I try to make them pay for themselves as much as
possible, too.
evile: *nod*
evile: Ah well. On that note, I go off to my RL.
SkyeDS: wind to your wings :)
