I think it's 'interesting' that right wing politicians feel the need to force children to say the Pledge of Allegiance every day.

Why? What is this country doing to deserve that loyalty? What is the US doing to serve and care for those children? You don't want to feed them. You don't want them to have healthcare. You don't care if they have anywhere decent to live. You don't care if they have clean water and air. You aren't doing anything to ensure that they'll have safe infrastructure and liveable wages when they grow to adulthood and enter the workforce. You don't want them to have books or education. You don't want them to have bodily autonomy if they identify as female, you don't want them to be safe from gun violence in that same school where they're making their pledge to a flag which stands for NOTHING if the GOP continues to have its way. Why should they pledge allegiance to a flag or a country that is LITERALLY killing them? And I'm not even going to get into how many Republican politicians have been caught committing pedophilia, child sex trafficking, child porn on their computers, etc. All they want kids in this country for, apparently, is to be able to freely rape and/or murder them. Here in TX, kids in the CPS/foster system are raped, abused, and trafficked. WITHIN state funded care facilities AND by the people they're fostered to, and Gov Abbott has done absolutely fuckall about it.

Piss off with that nonsense unless you are willing to commit to making this country a worthwhile place for children. Forcing school children to 'pledge' to a country and 'love' a country that demonstrably DOES NOT love them...is child abuse. Period.
