evile: a trip to the restroom & water fountain turned into additional
pointless chitchat with coworker. bleh.
SkyeDS: hope new ofc is closer to bathroom at least
evile: that might be a good thing!
evile: So you haven't seen the new space yet?
SkyeDS: some of it. not my part of it.
evile: Hopefully it'll be a nice surprise :)
SkyeDS: only two things I care about - nearby nuke and little girls
room
evile: yup.
evile: I always get tempted at frys by the mini fridges & mini
microwaves. But...for that kind of $, I'd rather buy a wine storage
fridge for home.
SkyeDS: like I need mroe temptations (gems are fascinated by gadgets)
evile: hee. now you tell me....
SkyeDS: we are particularly fond of our kitchen toys
SkyeDS: in my instance, my frydaddy, grill, wok, etc
evile: I try not to get too crazy with the gadgets...but it is
tempting sometimes.
SkyeDS: and all the little toys I would like to have, like a food
processor
SkyeDS: have a food dehydrator somewhere I don't use much
evile: Sweetie hasn't cleaned ours since he used it last. I decided I was
goddamned if I was going to do it, since I didn't even get any of
whatever he made.
SkyeDS: would like to have a rotisserie
evile: yeah.
evile: I don't think I've cooked at all this month so far. ...sad!
SkyeDS: looks guilty
evile: I made mac & cheese on Saturday, and that's the closest I
think I've come to 'cooking' this month.
SkyeDS: no comment
evile: We lived on Decemberween leftovers for the first couple weeks,
and then came the week of 10 hour days, and then last week...*shrug*
who knows. It was a blur.
evile: I can't believe it's the last week of January already. 2004 is
going to be a blur, too, I guess.
SkyeDS: nod
evile: Oh well. Hopefully we'll manage to squeeze in some fun & good
stuff amongst the crap.
evile: The plus side of not having a microwave oven nearby: your
coworkers can't burn popcorn and give you a rotten headache.

evile: & the next Dark Goddess is next month. That is a seriously
awesome show.
evile: I think I'll try to catch Pythia Dust at the Feb. full moon &
then Dark Goddess 2 weeks later at the new moon. That's handy. Can't
tell Bonnie's a pagan, no no. ;)

that everyone can see but me

evile: Well, it's not like you're trying to be 'corporate closet
witch' :P

evile: Well, it's a protected class, so you might as well use it if
it comes up.
evile: It's not anybody's business, but if someone tries to make an
issue of it, you can be sure to ensure that their curiosity bites 'em
in the butt.
SkyeDS: harder to prove religious discrimination than sexual in a
court though
SkyeDS: otherwise I would have gone after SWTSU
evile: yup.
SkyeDS: besides I'm work for hire they can do what they please
SkyeDS: Hugh is representing a holistic doctor that even from my pov
is a nutcase
SkyeDS: and I told him, from the pagan point of view, she's still a
nutcase lol
evile: hee.
evile: unfo, it's the nutcases that get the attention not the normal
examples you can find in any religion/group
SkyeDS: whicdh is too bad, because there is something to be said for
a certain amount of holistic (but NOT homeopathic)
SkyeDS: most people see me as a nutcase I suppose
evile: their loss.
SkyeDS: well, if not being mundane or vanilla makes me a nutcase,
then so it does
evile: 'sane' and 'normal' are fairly overrated qualities, I think.
There are just as many miserable normals as there are miserable nuts.
SkyeDS: however, I don't think I have a problem with grasping reality
SkyeDS: you just hit it on the head
SkyeDS: people equate normal with sane
SkyeDS: not the same at all

evile: Successfully avoided coworker entanglements this trip.:P

evile: I don't think I'd know what to do with myself if I found
myself working somewhere with cool, nice people. I can't even hardly
imagine such a thing.
evile: Now I *know* Launchcast is buggy--it said I didn't have a
rating in for Billy Idol. puh-leez!

evile: he's practically in my Pantheon.
SkyeDS: did you like his role in Wedding Singer?
evile: Never saw it. I *hate* Adam Sandler. I keep hearing it was a
great movie...but it will require many beers I think before I
actually sit down and watch it.
SkyeDS: tis the only adam sandler thing I like
evile: I have heard the soundtrack & I like all the music. And I
adore Drew, of course. She's my movie star girlfreind.
SkyeDS: I think you'd like it...for what it is...B entertainment.
SkyeDS: and funny pastiche of the 80s
evile: probably.
evile: I should put it on the list for whenever we're at the video
store going "what you wanna watch? I dunno, what YOU wanna watch?"
SkyeDS: I do enjoy launchcast. great selection the last two days
evile: Yup. A lot of stuff I hadn't heard in ages.

evile: Next step I suppose is to get one of those ipod type dealies &
record a few hours of my station sometime.
evile: I miss WGRE. The rest of DePauw could fall into a hole, but I
enjoyed my radio show & having access to all the music & recording
facilities.
evile: The last couple times I've visited Mom & stepdad, I've gotten to
see all the new toys at the radio station. *sigh*
SkyeDS: sineater would enjoy that too
SkyeDS: I'm ahppy anywhere there are books and pianos
evile: yup.
evile: yargh. I love the people who think all state agencies are the
same thing. We get stuff for workers comp all the time, and now today
TDHS. feh.
SkyeDS: most people think all litigators are scum of the earth
SkyeDS: which makes me a minion of scum of the earth
evile: that must be great on the ol' ego
SkyeDS: shrug...I know better
SkyeDS: I know there are scum of the earth litigators out there but
I'vge never met any much less worked for one
evile: Better and better--this was faxed to the state office by a
workforce center. it's like the blind leading the blind down there...
evile: That's just embarassing!
evile: Sadly, most people's generalizations and stereotypes re: state
employees are pretty accurate: bitter, rude, fat, lazy, and stupid
are the majority.
evile: I've got 2 out of 5 at this point. (not 3--I may be personally
lazy, but I am not lazy at work.)
SkyeDS: I am entirely different at work than at home, particularly in
terms of organization
evile: heh. Me too.
evile: Launchcast does not realize that there are two Howard
Jones'....agh.
evile: Erin says there was 'drama' at the Pace party Saturday night.
Glad I missed it!

evile: Yeah, I'm curious too, but glad I wasn't there to experience
it firsthand.

evile: If I get any more info, I'll let you know. Pace has a very odd
assortment of friends & acquaintances, it could have been anything.
evile: If Erin or Pace is at poly dinner Thursday, I'll try &
remember to ask.

evile: me too, if it was interpersonal squabbling. bleh, boring.
But...if it was something like god-chick freaking out, that's fun no
matter who you do or dont' know.
