Went to dinner at Dog Almighty with Sweetie, we met up with Maggiemaepisces and onyxlynxx
there, and then Nikiyoy showed up. We gossipped about our various family
screwed-up-ness, had our various hotdog/chili things, and onyxlynxx
shared her s'more brownie with us, and then we took off for the
burlesque show at Sidekick's--Sweetie rode his bike home from there, and
Niki rode with me out there. M and onyxlynxx went in M's car. Niki
and I got there first, and we ran into oracle_tx outside the club.
We stood around and visited a bit. He had been in a bad mood about
work & stuff, but I think he cheered up after chatting with us a bit.
He was waiting for nosugarsadded and Grey to show up. onyxlynxx and M showed
up and we were all going in, and Niki said something like "If you
want to come sit with us awhile, feel free" and I said "Hey, baby, as
long as I've got a face, you've always got a place to sit!" with this
big sales reptile "cha ching" attitude, and we all just cracked up.
Oracle gave me a big hug. My new theory is that men use such awful
lines on women because they'd LOVE it if a woman used lines like that
on them.

The show got crowded FAST. There were VIP tables, but the rest was
standing room only. Upstairs was vendors and h'ors d'ouvres, and one
of the vendors did these great tiaras & body jewelry with old pieces
of vintage jewelry. Her website is www.ayersdesign.com. Gorgeous
stuff. onyxlynxx got us chairs, because Meg wasn't going to be able to
stand up for that long. We stayed until a bit after 10, left at
intermission. Sucks to have to get up and work for a living...

But we had a fun time.
