evile: good morning :) How was your weekend?
    SkyeDS: awesome, yours?
    evile: Very nice :)
evile: Not enough time to get to everything that was going on, but
what I did get to was great.
SkyeDS: nods. Got sunburned working Saturday so instead of riding
yesterday, spent day down w fever
    evile: ouchies!
SkyeDS: parentals coming back last weekend in April (we have events
    next three)
SkyeDS: we have become a weekend vacation spot :)
    evile: cool
evile: I wore SPF30 Saturday and got a little warm, and then upped it
to 45 on Sunday and did much better.
evile: Big Fun is this weekend; It just doesn't FEEL like it's coming
up that soon. I need to shop for my stuffs.
SkyeDS: you should have your own cooking show :D
evile: that might be fun, for a while anyway.
SkyeDS: I was thinking very specific recipes type show ;)
SkyeDS: The Eek/Evile BDSM and Cooking Hour
    evile: *lol* too fun ;)
evile: Captain Jack was out at faire again Sunday, but dammit, I
    didn't get a picture.
SkyeDS: as long as you enjoyed the pleasure of his company :)
evile: I didn't even get a hello out of him this trip out. But I did
get to see Rengeek & his lady, and Rengeek's soon to be ex wife, and
her new guy, and met some of their friends, who were all lovely.
SkyeDS: how did that go, with RG, his new love, and the ex all in one
    place?
evile: They were all very civilized.
SkyeDS: I've seen people be really good friends with exes. None of
mine seem to be able to manage it (except two)
evile: We all made chit-chat for a bit, then Rengeek & Loa went off
one way and Pam (Tempest) and her guy went another. And since I was
headed their way, I joined them at the tavern & we chatted a bit.It
was really nice to see everyone. And they seem very understanding
that they have lots of friends who love them both and don't want to
    take sides.
SkyeDS: how nice to have reasonable mature adults as friends
evile: Well, Pam said one tacky thing, but it was long after Mike
and Loa were out of sight, and it was just to me, so I think they're
    doing a good job.
evile: I don't think they're all best friends or anything, but I do
think they're doing their best to make sure their mutual friends
    don't feel awkward.
evile: it all made me look forward to Scarborough
    SkyeDS: nodnod
evile: I am thinking I'll at least go for my b-day on May 21. Maybe
    another weekend in May, too.
    SkyeDS: no season pass?
evile: I don't think I'll go enough to need it.
evile: OH! I found a thing for you at the bellydance show Friday nite.
    SkyeDS: ???
evile: a little ringy-bracelety thing. It's pretty & sparkly, not
terribly well made or anything. It was inexpensive and I liked it, so
    I got us each one.
    SkyeDS: bright shinies! Thank You!!1
evile: I'll have to bring it by your office sometime, maybe at 2:30
    break.
SkyeDS: ring-bracelet like a slave bracelet?
evile: I don't like that word, but yeah, kinda. it's 3 rings that
    attach to the bracelet
SkyeDS: I had one I really liked, it got lost, I meant to get it
replaced at War, and then didn't
evile: I am always trying to think of a way to better organize my
    jewelry.
SkyeDS: I think the whole "slave" got attached to it because of Gor
SkyeDS: the reject king used to call all of my dancing bells slave
this that and the other thing
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I have another bracelet that was extremely cheaply made that
wasn't even worth what I spent on it (sigh), with five rings on it, I
don't wear it much because the stones fall out and it's hard to ride
    in
evile: Found an interesting, entertaining article on bdsm
& 'historical' aspects thereof, that addresses Gor and such.
The 'more authentic/older tradition than thou' is apparently not
    limited to pagan folks.
    http://www.iron-rose.com/marketplace/keynote.htm

SkyeDS: oh you bet it isn't
    SkyeDS: Gor wars are amusing
evile: My bracelet-claw thingy is cool, but I can't do much of
anything while wearing it. Other than scratch people. I wouldn't try
to ride while wearing it it, not on a bet.
SkyeDS: lol kind of like the one time I rode in a corset
evile: Here is my fave quote from that article: "And what the fuck's
wrong with making shit up?? You'd think it isn't any fun unless
someone tells you a story about how authentic they are, or their toys
are, or their methods are. Believe me, it's way more fun to know your
partner has an imagination than to slowly come to the understanding
that your partner is a loony."
    SkyeDS: nodnod
evile: Too bad it's such a long quote, or I'd use it on my yahoo
    profile.
SkyeDS: the Gor thing can be taken too far. there is a thriving
gorean slave trade in the states
    evile: ecch.
SkyeDS: but then anything can be taken too far by people inclined to
    do so
    evile: yup.
SkyeDS: there's a site belongs to dynamoon and Dominant1 that I
like, i forget the URL but you could google the names
SkyeDS: she was a gorean slave once
evile: One of the Voyagers/Gwnn regulars was telling me about helping
to train a slave & shipping her off to her new master...it kinda
creeped me out, but on questioning further it seemed the slave had a
pretty good idea what was going on & was fully consenting to all of
    it. YKIOK, I guess.
SkyeDS: if you agree to it, and you haven't read the books or
whatever well enough to understand what you're getting yourself into,
buyer beware (I know that sounds coldhearted)
evile: well, apparently the training was several months, fairly
intense...if you don't know what you've committed to after that span
    of time and experience, yeah.
SkyeDS: dynamoon was kept in a cage with chains
SkyeDS: apparently in the trade they really are bought and sold like
    animals or worse
    evile: thats....illegal....yes?
    SkyeDS: yes
evile: that is very sad & wierd.
SkyeDS: apparently she got away by beating the abuser over the head
    with a baseball bat
    evile: good for her.
evile: eclipse & new moon friday. super good for banishing rituals, I
    would think.

evile: it's about break time. Up for a short prezzie visit? Or should
I wait till some other time?
evile: Today's freaky name winner "Lamia Hornbuckle"
    SkyeDS: visit = good :)
SkyeDS: guess I should have said so 15 min ago :(
evile: woops, yeah. My break time is about over now.
    SkyeDS: I'm sorry
evile: no big. you get busy, go afk, you're at work, I understand :)
SkyeDS: I should at least say brb more often
evile: if you can, sure, but it's totally understandable that you'd
get called away from your desk for work-stuff and not have time.
evile: I try never to take online lags personally, I know stuff
    happens.
SkyeDS: sleepy. wanted a nap before I ever left the house.
evile: yeah, the time change does me in every time.
evile: time for me to make my rounds & get gone.
SkyeDS: wind to your wings :)
evile: *hugs* see ya tomorrow :)
