My daughter's therapist diagnosed her with BPD. I told her she wasn't allowed to take medication and that she needs to learn to just deal with it, and now she wants to move out. What should I do?

What would you tell a child with diabetes or epilepsy? “Don't take any medicine, just deal with it? “

Your question is really heartless and clueless. If you have concerns about the medicine your child's doctor prescribed, speak with doctor and educate yourself. Get a second opinion if you feel the doctor is over prescribing or if the medication seems to have undesirable effects. But telling her she isn't allowed to try and manage her condition is a pretty awful thing to do. If you won't be supportive, her moving out or going to live with a more caring adult may be the best thing for her.
