Jul. 30th, 2010 07:25 pm1. What is your favorite drink of all time? Does it hold a special memory to you or is it just because it tastes good?
Margaritas. There are lots of memories of enjoying lots of margaritas with lots of friends. (the 'batarita' cup I used at Spaghettifests, margaritas at the Lone Star Cafe near the book store where I worked, margaritas at that place on Guadalupe that closed and now just sells their sauces in fancy grocery stores, margaritas at 'fajita and margarita' night at El Mercado with my ex & others, Ritas at Chuy's the first time we met The Rubber Pig andgot had to listen to her go on and on about her numerous childbirth experiences...Oh, so many margaritas! For enjoyment and survival, nothing beats the power of Tequila & lime juice with a splash of triple sec and/or agave nectar)
And there are a few 'lack of memory' associated with margaritas as well.
2. Tea, coffee or hot cocoa?
Coffee. I don't drink a lot of it, but I do drink it most mornings. I have various teas, and I like the idea of tea, but I don't make it that often. I've been making sun tea lately, though, and that's really nice, too.
3. Best summer time drink?
Sun tea. Or a margarita. :)
4. Worst soda brand ever?
I think Fresca is probably the nastiest soda I've ever had. But in general, I think soda is nasty. I'll sometimes have a sprite or 7-up if my tummy is upset but usually I just don't drink soda at all.
5. Water: flavored, bottled, carbonated, or regular old tap?
We have a Brita pitcher at home, which is nice for cold water. I try not to drink bottled water, because it's wasteful, but sometimes I'm out someplace and I'm thirsty and I don't drink soda, so I get a bottle of water. At work, I have a big (32 oz?) cup that I put ice and tap water in, and I drink 3 or 4 of those a day.
