    Killing Time Lyrics:

    I wait and wait
    Sleepwalk the hourglass
    This way and that
    The pendulum swings
    Yes there's plenty of time
    Always time left to kill
    Does time stand still
    Or hurtle on by?

    Let time unwind
Let all the cogs fall out
    Let mans machines
    Collapse and rust
    Face down in the dust
    I'll kiss no other lips
    A life time of nothing
    Condemned without you

    Been so long here
    I could die here
    Lying by your side
    But time won't claim me
    Time and me only
    I'm just killing time

    If the sun went out
    I wouldn't mind too much
    Who needs the days
    To trouble to fill?
    If the moon didn't rise
    I wouldn't be upset
    Who needs moonshine
    To cause tears to spill?

    I've been so long here
    I could lie here
    Under dying sky
    This thirst and hunger
    Holds no wonder
    I'm just killing time

    I await your return
    There's no other one

So, I dug up my old Tulane journals to find my entry about my first BJ
and my first Exctasy experience, and of course I got sucked in to
reading...lots of really pointless drama, lots of agonizing about being
fat (at 167 lbs) and lots of ridiculous crushes that seemed to last for
about 2 days before going on to the next boy.

Other than the fact that I'm down to 1 boy, the rest seems 'bout the
    same.

It makes me sad that the only difference between me now and me 17 yrs
ago is some age and some weight. I'm not any more enlightened, better,
or contributing in any way to the world... :(

Killing time until time kills me. I wish it would. Soon.

    Birth Chart
This birth chart shows the positions of the planets

    The planets in the signs

The position of the planets in the signs of the Zodiac has an
influence on the character of the individual and these influences
form a large part of the individual psyche.

    Sun in Taurus

She is strong-willed and conceited. She has charm, and is tolerant
and stoical. She likes pleasure and the good things of Life.
    Appreciates the Arts.

Weaknesses: obstinacy, laziness. She is too materialistic, and is a
snob. She is greedy and proud.

    Moon in Scorpio

Courageous, brave, independent, not a fearful nature. The type of
    sensual woman who likes eroticism.

Weaknesses: excesses of pleasures of the flesh, sensual delights and
    sensuality.

    Mercury in Taurus

She is faithful to her ideas, unchangeable and opinionated,
persistent, but discreet. Likes all the pleasures Life can offer. She
    is sometimes naive.

Weaknesses: stubborn, obstinate, withdrawn. Slow to react.

    Venus in Gemini

"Gift of the gab", always finds the right expression. A good talker,
refined, with a love of the Arts. Two-sided in emotional affairs,
flirtatious. Superficial emotions. Countless and inconstant love
affairs. Likes to play love games.

Weaknesses: Instability and fickleness in love. Often goes too far in
love because of the desire to flirt and play on the other person, who
will often suffer - but that is not her problem. Inconstant in love,
which is ephemeral; she is unfaithful and can sometimes speak
    caustically.

    Mars in Gemini

She speaks a lot, likes to spar verbally, discussions, disputes,
    polemic, criticism.

Weaknesses: she scolds and declaims. Words can be bitter and
    aggressive.

    Jupiter in Libra

A high liver with a sweet, attractive and sunny disposition. Likes
justice, which she trusts. She knows how to forgive completely.

Weaknesses: she can have problems, because she gets involved in
doubtful situations through trusting too much.

    Saturn in Taurus

Slow but persistent in action. Perseverance of effort, assiduity, in
    a regular and set manner.

Weaknesses: she perseveres, insisting on her way but is intransigent.
    Not very expansive.

    Uranus in Libra

Well-developed artistic leanings. Her balance can be upset by too
    great an independence.

    Neptune in Scorpio

    Investigation, inquiry, secrets.

    Pluto in Virgo

    Takes away her shyness.

    Sign and ascendant

    Taurus ascendant Sagittarius

    The planets in the houses

The planetary positions in the houses express the facts relative to
    destiny.

    Sun in VI

Not much social ambition, she wants to work in the medical
environment and progress step by step.

    Moon in XII

Curious and inquisitorial nature. She likes peace and quiet, being
    alone.

    Mercury in V

Taste for intellectual games, sports that require skill and finesse.
She is very curious about everything, even in love. She likes
    children.

    Venus in VII

Her fate depends a lot on marriage. Marries for love, children, happy
    emotional life.

    Mars in VII

She dominates her associates, colleagues. She is the same in love
life, dominating the spouse and this makes for a stormy relationship
    in prospect.

    Jupiter in X

She cannot adapt to a humdrum or an uncertain life. She likes
comfort. She can move towards a managerial position, of prestige. Her
success follows on from that of the parents or in her home town.

    Saturn in V

She likes method, calculation, concentration. She is not drawn
towards amusements, or pleasure in general. She has few friends, but
has deep and sincere feelings. She is serious in everything.

    Uranus in IX

Interested in humanity. She is highly intellectual. She travels a
lot. Her mind is always alert, even when sleeping, during which time
she often resolves the problems of the previous day.

    Neptune in XII

She likes isolation, a withdrawn life, dreams and meditation. She has
    little desire for action.

    The houses in the signs

    Ascendant in Sagittarius

She will have an intellectual profession. Teaching, research,
philosophy, mathematics. Children will be a source of happiness and
    pride.

    House II in Capricorn

Success in professional life will be long and laborious. Continuously
working towards it, she will finally achieve universally acknowledged
    success.

    House III in Pisces

Ideas are somewhat changeable, and her humor as well. Travel, sea
voyages or work connected with the sea.

    House IV in Aries

Lots of authority within the family. She knows how to take the
destiny of the family in hand. She is very energetic, very strong,
knowing how to cope with life's setbacks.

    House V in Taurus

A pleasant home, a charming husband, loving and sweet children, nice
little meals, pleasant evenings with the loved one, that's the good
    life.

    House VI in Taurus

Completely trusted at work. Knows how to keep a secret and is of
irreproachable honesty. Weak point: the throat.

    House VII in Gemini

Marries quite young, and divorces later. A second marriage doubtless
with less passion but a lot of friendship. Frightened of living alone
    in old age.

    House VIII in Cancer

    Small inheritances.

    House IX in Virgo

She is devoted to all causes that bring comfort or help to people in
    difficulty.

    House X in Libra

Contacts of all kinds will lead to social success, professional,
through marriage etc... Likes society life, friendships that could
help professionally. Sometimes jobs connected with justice, but
always involved with important and influential people.

    House XI in Scorpio

Adores to debate endlessly with friends who don't share her ideas.
The discussion can lead to words, even a certain verbal violence.

    House XII in Scorpio

Work in the police field, likes investigating other people's private
    lives.

    Interplanetary aspects

The interplanetary aspects have a strong influence on the character
and disposition of the individual and, consequently, on her destiny.

The conjunction aspect is variable and depends above all on the
    nature of the conjoint planets.

    423 Conjunction Mercury - Saturn

    Black Eye
Heh well it's more like a yellow eye but yeah; its there. Noticed it
this morning when getting ready for work. I am amused. The swelling
has gone down quite a bit so thats good but it's still there a
little. Still putting neosporing on there and telling everyone that
Curtis smacked me around last night and thats where the bruise came
from. ;) (Edited to add: The black eye is from the 'piercing' I got
from Ickis. I told you it was a considerable injury; it doesn't look
that bad as the entry point is small but yeah; he got me good!)

Just got off the phone with SmartPak Equine which is the company I
get Max's suppliments from. I can't tell you how happy I am with
them. There was a problem with my order that just came in and two of
the suppliments I wanted to switch out with his current regime (as I
am not seeing enough of a change in his skin condition) didn't get in
there. So I called last night and they called me back today. Not only
are they crediting my account for the two suppliments I did get by
mistake (which happen to be more expensive than the new ones) they
are sending out a one time shipment with the right stuff with free
shipping and I can keep the stuff I already have. If anyone is
interested (as I'm betting I'll get questions) what I had him on was
Dapples and Grand Hoof. The Dapples he has been on but I was going to
add in the Grand Hoof for it's Biotin and MSM as well as good hoof
juju. ;) What I decided on after more research and seeing that the
Dapples just wasn't doing it was just straight MSM and also BioFlax.
If I hadn't been so anxious to get him on this BioFlax stuff I would
have waited another month but it all worked out for the best. I'll
    keep feeding him the new smartpaks till this stuff gets here but yup;
    I highly reccomend that place.

I sent off my Ever After gown last night. Cost me $125 to mail it
overnight as the winning bidder wanted. Ouch. $65 more than I had
quoted but lucky for me the lady immediately paid as soon as I told
her about it. This was a really hard costume to mail off. I try and
put on a brave face when I sell these things but in truth it hurts. I
cried the whole way home. I wouldn't have sold it if I wasn't really
needing the money; I wish the other costumes had sold before this one
so I wouldn't have needed it to go. *Sigh* But hopefully the lady
will love it as much as I do. She's already talking about
comissioning me for a good Black Diamonds costume so we'll see.

Started decorating my office today with spiderwebs. Much fun.

I went shopping last night on impulse and bought beaded and jeweled
leather riding gloves, with a matching sash and matching satin
slippers, a necklace, two pair of earrings, and a velvet Venetian
mask with feathers. And recently I bought two leather frockcoats.

And this is why you don't let me go shopping by myself. I spent a few
hundred dollars in a few minutes in the Market at Gulf Wars. Promptly
afterwards I was relegated back to the barn and grounded the rest of
    the War, LOL.

I love Halloween! Halloween and Christmas have to be my two favorite
holidays. Trick or treating with the horses and the macaw is always a
lot of fun. Never fails that we are like the Pied Piper. We start off
with one or two kids and by the time we're done, every child in the
neighborhood is part of the party.

evile: sounds like a nice weekend, except for sonar0m being ill. Poor
    thing.
    SkyeDS: nodnods
SkyeDS: who was sposed to call Sunday?
evile: I was waiting to hear back on whether or not someone wanted to
go see the Wallace & Gromit movie w/Jinx, or do something else, and
ended up missing the movie altogether.
    SkyeDS: sucks
evile: and then they didn't call so I didn't do anything else,
either. stupid of me, really stupid
SkyeDS: there are worse stupid things
SkyeDS: I really did like that planetary test, I got Mercury (duh)
    but I loved the pictures
    evile: *nod* me too.
SkyeDS: maybe I will pay for an LJ (cringe) just because I have so
many pictures I'd like to use as icons (talk about stupid, that's a
stupid reason to pay for something)
    evile: I don't think it's outrageously expensive.
    SkyeDS: it's $20 for t he yar
    SkyeDS: year
SkyeDS: and no, isn't outrageously expensive, when we've got the
money to do it, and we have
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: this is not kind of me, but I'm going to laugh when the bill
    comes in from the ER
evile: I have my freaks.net photo album, I link to that.
SkyeDS: Ms I don't believe in doctors, they cost money is going to
pay more for the trip to her chosen ER than she would had we dropped
    him off where I suggested.
evile: What's important is that sonar0m got medical care, not
    who 'won'.
SkyeDS: it isn't a matter of winning
SkyeDS: what amuses me in a not funny way is that her issue with
    doctors is the money
SkyeDS: so I suggest someplace more appropriate and cheaper than an ER
SkyeDS: but because I suggest it, oh no
evile: She created a situation where her expectation/preconcieved
notions and reality matched, so what?
SkyeDS: and she's pissed off with me because I *made* her spend money
SkyeDS: I didn't make her do squat, I presented a choice. You do it
or I do it, I really don't care, but it will get done, and you're
going to have to nurse him this weekend regardless.
SkyeDS: I bet she thinks I gave him strep on purpose.
evile: I didn't realize you'd had it before he got it.
SkyeDS: I haven't had it in 17 years.
SkyeDS: and I want to keep it that way
evile: She sounds like an unpleasant person. I'm glad sonar0m got what
he needed to get better, regardless.
    SkyeDS: I am too
SkyeDS: but I'm sorry, it's funny, and is going to serve her just
desserts, to pay more for an ER than she would have for a perfectly
    good walk in clinic
    SkyeDS: to "spite" me
SkyeDS: that he was going to get what he needed goes without saying,
because of course I'm not going to let him suffer or go around
    infecting other people
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: there's a 24 hour minor emergency walk in clinic in Rockdale
too now, as well as Pro Med in Austin which has always served us well
    evile: cool.
SkyeDS: she was so ...I don't know what to call it...with the doctor.
SkyeDS: I wrote down for sonar0m so that he didn't have to remember, a
note to ask for generic medicine, and gave him $40 or so to pay for
it himself in case his parents were acting par for the course
SkyeDS: so when the Dr asks him you want brand or generic, he says
generic, and his mother, seeing the note in my handwriting, rudely
interrupts the doctor to ask him what's cheaper.
SkyeDS: and the doctor, who didn't take well to her at all, told her,
generic, of course (like DUH, what are you, stuck on stupid?)
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I took one of those mbti emotional type tests lately and one
    of the descriptors was "doormat"
SkyeDS: I should have said, look, we're dropping him off at Pro-Med,
here's the address, we'll meet you there.
SkyeDS: but I was so surprised that his dad told her, yes, we're
taking him to the doctor, that when I suggested a clinic and they
countered with the hospital, I just said, ok fine
evile: not your money, why should you care? :P
SkyeDS: he didn't even want to call his parents in t he first place,
and I told him that we were going to honorably give them the chance
    to do right, regardless
SkyeDS: I have strong feelings about using the emergency room for non-
    emergency purposes
SkyeDS: but other than that, I don't really care
SkyeDS: like I said, it serves her right to spend more money because
    she's trying to spite me
SkyeDS: especially when money is the reason she denies him medical
    care in the first place
SkyeDS: thank gawd his father is an intelligent man and can be
reasoned with when he's not emotionally and irrationally knee jerk
    reacting to me
    evile: yup
SkyeDS: next month is 3 years, and they might want to get it in their
heads that I'm not going away
SkyeDS: and not believing a doctor telling you that strep untreated
can kill you, because I happened to have said the same thing, is
just...I don't know what it is.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I understand the no money thing. I understand the no
insurance thing. I have had no money and no insurance for as much of
my adult life if not more, than otherwise.
SkyeDS: but I nearly died the one time I did not go to the doctor
immediately with a fever over 101.
evile: yup. there's got to be a happy medium between the people like
my hypochondriac coworker going to the ER every saturday night, and
people who wont' take their kid to the hospital when he's desperately
    ill...
SkyeDS: I don't care if I have to eat ramen on sale indefinitely, the
Family goes to the doctor when it needs to.
SkyeDS: last time we had to make a trip to the vet (long story), I
was hurt to the point of almost not getting back up off the ground,
    and Mirage was hurt.
SkyeDS: So we take Mirage to the vet the next day, because it's a new
relationship and I didn't know he would have come out the night
    before if I'd called him.
SkyeDS: and he looks at my injuries after he takes care of hers and
    says, seen a doctor yet?
SkyeDS: and sineater and sonar0m cut me off and say, NO
SkyeDS: and he looks at me, and I said, vet first, doctor/ambulance
    second.
SkyeDS: *nods* if he were a minor she'd be guilty of child
abuse...but then I'd be guilty of statutory rape :P
    evile: yup
SkyeDS: the whole thing is just...wrong...on many levels.
evile: Most people have some wierdo dysfunctional thing with their
    family of origin...
SkyeDS: I wonder if she's so stuck on stupid that she wouldn't notice
him dying if she'd treated this her way.
SkyeDS: or if she did notice, if it would be in time to get him
    treated at all.
SkyeDS: when I finally went in after treating that fever by myself
for four days, I was told, if you'd waited another 24 hours you would
    have been DOA
evile: yup. You definitely need a happy medium between Doctor visit &
antibiotics all the time for everything and not taking care of things
    that need Drs & antibiotics.
evile: I'm pretty sure my life ins. would pay off if I died of
untreated catastrophic illness, so I really don't care, personally.
SkyeDS: well, ya know, if you choose to die from untreated whatever,
that's certainly your choice. However, if you are highly contagious
you shouldn't infect other people while you're dying, thereby
inflicting your personal choice on them. But that's just my opinion.
SkyeDS: and why I hate it when martyrs come to work sick.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: that is one of the banes of the independent contractor
    existence
SkyeDS: you get paid sick time, you have health insurance
SkyeDS: you get me sick, I'm paying for the doctor myself, and if I
miss too much time, I don't get paid, and I lose my contract.
SkyeDS: (not you personally, the "martyr")
evile: Personally, I hate my coworkers, I'd rather come here and
make them sick than get my loved ones ill :P
SkyeDS: if I were in your position I would feel and do the same
SkyeDS: but I haven't been in your position in a good long while now -
in terms of being permanent, having paid time off, paid insurance,
and coworkers I'd love to infect.
evile: I'm too damned healthy. I'm going to live for fucking ever. :(
SkyeDS: I believe if I refuse to grow old, I can stay young till I
    die ~ from Pippin
SkyeDS: I think I"m going to go slipsliding into my grave with
something I shouldn't be eating in one hand, something I shouldn't be
drinking in another, and a not very well preserved body, going, Fuck
    what a ride!
SkyeDS: at what age, I have no clue.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: this is assuming, of course, that I don't die doing a triple
somersault over a horse's head and my reins and breaking my neck ROFL
evile: maybe I need to get an extreme dangerous hobby...
SkyeDS: if I were going to take up another one it would probably be
    hanggliding or paraskiing
SkyeDS: assuming I could still get up on skis, I haven't tried since
    I graduated high school
    evile: nothing with heights.
SkyeDS: you could...put a mexican low port spade bit on Jezebel and
ride her with mexican rowel spurs.
evile: nah, I dont' want my successors suing your ass off :P
SkyeDS: too, that would involve heights, at least temporarily
evile: I think I'm off horseback riding for a good while.
SkyeDS: other than the trail ride every year at the point where I"m
positive I'm going to die, I don't usually consider our hobby a
dangerous one, although rationally I know it is.
SkyeDS: Mirage and I are well aware of our respective places in the
scheme of things. I get us into shit we shouldn't be in, and she
    gets us out.
    evile: *nod*
evile: I think if I tried to keep up with [Cousin B], I'd probably die.
Either of a heart attack or a drug OD.
SkyeDS: but it would be fun?
evile: For a while, until I started to look bad :P
evile: I guess if I'm still vain enough to worry about what I look
like, or what sort of death would be more or less dignified, I'm
probably not really ready to go...
    SkyeDS: doesn't sound like it
SkyeDS: I don't want to die painfully, but that's because I am very
    phobic about pain
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: even though I have now had needles and knives between my
legs, and I know rationally from experience that I can be cut on down
there, be awake, and not feel it
SkyeDS: I'm still phobic about epiziotomies and childbirth
evile: yup. that whole lack of dignity thing is what gets to me the
    most about all of that.
SkyeDS: the learning channel and the discovery channel every year on
mother's day run hours upon hours of natural childbirth programming
SkyeDS: now, childbirth in a hot tub was interesting and not too
    graphic
    SkyeDS: but I ask you
evile: so glad I dont have cable
SkyeDS: why would you want to be reminded of all that on Mother's Day?
    evile: doubtful.
SkyeDS: and then there's handing the mother a little bloody raisin-
alien cross with the cord still attached
SkyeDS: I told sineater, do NOT, DO not, hand me a bloody raisin alien
    with a cord still attached
evile: as [aunt L] says "I like to wait until they're all cleaned up,
    with a little hat."
SkyeDS: I'd be happy if you didn't give them to me until they were
three - talking, walking, potty trained, and ready to learn to read,
    write, count and ride.
    evile: heh.
SkyeDS: Laura's grandchild Addie is very accelerated both mentally
and physically, and the older he gets the more fun he is.
SkyeDS: I watched the equestrian list from a vantage point where I
could keep an ear on Addie napping in their tent, so that both Laura
and Charles could compete, loaned Charles my horse
SkyeDS: and Addie didn't wake up until Laura, Charles and sineater were
    all out of the competition
evile: that was nice of you. :)
SkyeDS: so I walked him, holding his little hand, to the porta potty,
him on one side, Arthur on the other
SkyeDS: and I was taken with our shadows on the ground
SkyeDS: we were so cute, you just knew we were, by the looks we were
    getting
SkyeDS: I know, I'm easily amused.
SkyeDS: it really wasn't hard to do...the ideal spot was in the
shade, gave me a good enough view of the competition, and a good
    vantage point on Addie
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: after handfasting in persona, Gideon finally proposed to
Bridget (which he should have done long ago as far as she and his
    children are concerned, I know)
SkyeDS: in front of the entire court (not just baronial but also
    kingdom)
    evile: that's sweet :)
SkyeDS: when the site, the weather and the company are that awesome
you want the event to go on longer than it does.
    evile: I'm sure :)
evile: Small world: turns out one of the polys works with Sweetie. :P
SkyeDS: Austin's subculture circles are very small and concentric
    evile: yep.
evile: I have to get a prezzie for [G/stepdad/sineater's dad] in the mail soon...
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: I may try and get by Grapevine Market tonight and see if I can
    find any interesting scotch
SkyeDS: glenlivet and drambuie and all that are whiskeys? and/or
    scotches?
SkyeDS: I would know this if I bothered to look them up I know
evile: glenlivet is a scotch, drambuie is a liqueur.
SkyeDS: found some inexpensive irish creme at World Market, sineater
wanted to try it, I don't remember what it's called
    evile: Carolans, probably. It's fine.
SkyeDS: it isn't Carolans or Brendans
SkyeDS: it's some name I haven't seen before
SkyeDS: want to say it starts with an I or an A
    evile: hm. dunno.
SkyeDS: it takes him awhile to get used to the concept of, if you
want it, I'm buying it for you
    evile: heh.
    SkyeDS: www.friesianstore.com - omg t he bridles and I haven't even
    looked at anything else yet
    evile: nice.
evile: the white stuff is striking, but I can't imagien trying to
    keep it clean!
    SkyeDS: nods
SkyeDS: that's why I'm t hinking I wouldn't want white, not tack, not
    carriage
SkyeDS: surely a Friesian would look nice in black with maybe white
    trim, and a black carriage
    evile: yup
evile: well, I'm going to run some anti spyware and suhc. It might
crash my ICQ, so be prepared. Since it's close enough to go-time, I
probably won't try to get back on.
SkyeDS: k, wi nd to your wings :)
