I slept in, got up when L called, and then they came over around
    11. We had brunch at Trudy's near campus, and then went to Highland
mall and ratted. It was great fun. We got Vegas jewelry at Claire's &
made H try on a green dress at Dillard's. It had a ruched
bustline so it made Holly look like she had a bosom; she was so
    deligthed

L  took Holly to Helzberg, her favorite 'real jewelry' store, and
they fussed and cooed over her when L said  wanted to look at
solitaires :) "Oh, she's a perfect Size 7, would you look at that?"--
holding up the BIG mirror so she can see what she looks like wearing
the rock, bla bla, it was hilarious. H was NOT into being fussed
over, but I thought it was a hoot. Apparently, she and Jimmy have
talked marriage, but he hasn't actually popped the question. She says
she is insisting on "a ring and a scene," as she put it, before she
considers them to be 'official'. I think that's adorable. (J-Law
agrees re: ring and scene, btw)

H says Jimmy wants to wear a zoot suit on the big day and they
don't want a wedding party, just them.

When she comes back Tuesday, we're going to Clarksville to see their
    ring selection.

    http://www.clarksvillepottery.com/WeddingRings.htm

H was saying she didn't want anything that stuck up a whole lot
from the setting, which kind of rules out most of the traditional
solitare type rings. I really like some of these.

We went back to L&B's and 'divvied the loot', and then Uncle B came
home from work. We went to Fajita night, met Sweetie there. It was a nice
day, good day with the family.

I think I'm inspired to get into better shape & lose some weight. No
crazy diets, just better eating and exercise habits in general.

    Flogging Molly
Tomorrow Comes A Day Too Soon

You, you never looked so good
Sipping life down like I wish I could
But these sober tears are all that's left to shed
Sandy's soul, now made of bread

Face down beneath the rubble lies a man
Tales of the future already in the past
And of himself, well he hasn't much to say
But wake the gods, it's droodlin' day

He said, "I left my home where the dead never rose
But the streets of gold i've yet to find
And at the end of the day all you can do is pray
Without hope well you might as well be blind, yeah be blind
Tomorrow comes a day too soon, tomorrow comes a day too soon"

Angel, sweet angel of my youth
Where have you gone? You flew away too soon
The brick I built now builds a higher wall
See it crumble, hear me fall
There hangs the fool, who once had it all

He said, "I left my home where the dead never rose
But the streets of gold i've yet to find
And at the end of the day all you can do is pray
Without hope well you might as well be blind, yeah be blind
Tomorrow comes a day too soon, tomorrow comes a day too soon"

And though the road has yet to rise
On these hundred years that passed me by
And the blood with the river flows
Through the crimson field never sung
    And no never sung

He said, "I left my home where the dead never rose
But the streets of gold i've yet to find
And at the end of the day all you can do is pray
Without hope well you might as well be blind, yeah be blind
Tomorrow comes a day too soon, tomorrow comes a day too soon
Tomorrow comes a day too soon, tomorrow comes a day too soon"

Ahh well you, you never looked so good

Tears for Fears - Quiet Ones Lyrics
    It's always the quiet ones
    Who are stranger than fiction
They hide under tables like a child

What kind of chemistry is it?
    Leaden or golden?
Nobody sees them driving us wild

    It's your life
Don't just collide with the waves

    Oh look into her eyes
    You'll see such silent calling
Nothing seems to matter in this life

Wake up your majesty there are
    Thieves in the temple
Picking the sunspots out of the sun

    Looking for symmetry in man
    Another dead Beatle
Down through the path we see how they run

    It's your life
Don't just collide with the ways

    Oh look into her eyes
    You'll see such silent calling
Nothing seems to matter in this life

    Oh so many reasons why
    You hear the silence calling
Nothing seems to matter in this life

Oh salvation shine a light on a different world
And carry out thoughts on golden rays
