  How do you make a rock border? dig a trench first? I need to do some
  research. and find out where to get rocks.

Freud theorized that psychological problems are related to problems
during one or more of these stages. For example, being too cared for
or too neglected causes someone to be orally fixated, too much or too
little control causes someone to be anally fixated, insufficient
parental role modeling causes phallic fixation.

An orally fixated person is either irrationally dependent (expects
what they want to just appear) or irrationally independent (always
refuses help).

An anally fixated person is either irrationally self controlled and
servile to authority or has no self control and is compulsively
defiant of authority.

A phallicly fixated person is either a sexual compulsive (sexually
innappropriate/promiscuous) or sexually repressed.

Freud did not classify any latent fixation but I think it is as
plausible as those at the other stages. I speculate that people that
like to learn and acquire knowledge without any purpose or people
that are compulsively non curious represent both dysfunctional ends
of the latency spectrum.

The genital stage is the final Freudian developmental stage and
according to Freud people don't all succeed at this. Freud believed
the ideal for human happiness is to be happy in love and work,
problems in one or the other cause unhappiness.

Like any personality system, Freud's developmental levels are just a
theory, so, be speculative about your results.

evile: My boss keeps emailing me about stuff I did wrong. With no
directives on how I *should* have done it, or instructions on
correcting the problem. I dont' know...maybe she's making a paper
trail so she can fire me.

evile: it's just irritating to have people beating up on me for
mistakes and not offering any constructive way to approach future

evile: I am 1/8th of her staff and I do 1/5th of hte work. My error
rate is less than 3%. She has no legitimate complaints,but probably
doesn't care for my attitude or the fact that I goof off and still
get 20% of our units productivity

be mediocre

any kind of education that will bring out their potential, though.

from--smart kids that get bored with coloring and putting stickers on
stuff and know it's a gyp to get an A and be put in honors program
for that kind of crap)
SkyeDS: apparently ADD/HD is genetic, like migraines

SkyeDS: so it is underdiagnosed and overdiagnosed at the same time
evile: but there's documentation of people having migraines 3000
years ago, and as far as I know, ADHD is maybe 20 years old.

SkyeDS: or could just be it took that long to give it a name
evile: or maybe that as society's boxes for people get smaller,
there's more and more people that don't fit.

evile: Here is what my boss said: You won't be terminated, can't
afford to loose you. Instead of me just writing down the errors I
decided to start emailing you your errors so you can actually look at
them an see what you've done. You are not the only one getting the
emails, I am keeping a copy of what I send you for review purposes.
If the hearings are not set I will definitely let you fix them or if
it is a reopen or reset I try to get them back to you. Sometimes I
just get a message from someone letting me know something wasn't set
right and sometimes I fix it and get corrected notices out. You have
had a few more lately, if it keeps up we may want to worry but I
think you are okay for now. Like I said before, I am hoping that you
are actually looking at the error so you can be more careful in the
future. At least I'm getting your attention.

telling me about a mistake I've made unless I can either correct it
or avoid making it the next time. But with criticism like "you did
this all wrong"...it's not really constructive enough to tell me how
to handle the same situation if it comes up again, ya know?

I hate myself for falling for such tricks, but they are effective i
nmaking me feel like crap, NOT that I'm going to let her know that.
I just silently take the shit and go on about my work.

If they don't think their abuse is effective, they will eventually
give up and leave you to crawl off and heal on your own.
