2101 dream

    Apr. 13, 2004

something about being at an ice cream parlor or whole foods or book
people? with some of the female polys, including Nikiyoy. There was a
giant wall-sized poster advertising some 'tasty' thing made with 3
ingredients, including spirutein. Then it showed their 'tasty' thing
with 3 ingredients, and it was a fried chocolate sandwich or
    something similar.

I was joking with them about becoming an exercise bulimic. Then I was
talking with rangerjedi on LJ about LC and how it was too
hard to stick to, so I'd have to become exercise bulimic.

Then an amusement park or museum with Mom, [stepdad], Sineater, [brother A] & [sister H].
This medieval castle that had all these puzzles & trap doors. Some
musical puzzle (like goonies?) Some French guy showing [stepdad] how to
    fry bread.

    lots of fried stuff, no?

    Mostly the dreams felt positive.

    Apr. 13, 2004

also the dream had faire images, camping with the same poly girls
from the bookstore/grocery/ice cream place, one of them asked me to
kiss her, with tongue, and she had pieces of food in her mouth that
got pushed out. It was gross. She was apparently a total novice at
    kissing.

I just totally overflowed my pantiliner. Not actual blood, but
pinkish fluid. It got on my underwear & my pants. No, you can't see
it on my pants if you are walking behind me. ugh.

    I hate this.

2104tax gripes

  • Apr. 13, 2004

the LJs, communities, yahoo groups, etc. are littered with people
bitching about their tax penalty for being single and/or CF. I
suppose since Im both, I need to sympathize. I don't. Here are the
solutions, as I see them, none of which include bitching to me:

    1) marry and breed. Because, really, isn't MONEY the best reason to
    get married and/or make babies?

    2) write to a lawmaker or government representative who can do
something to help remove the tax penalties of lifestyle choices.

    3) move to another country

    4) STFU.

2105 icq w/A

    Apr. 13, 2004

    SkyeDS: afternoon :) how goes?
evile: not bad. ready to go home already.
SkyeDS: lol I was ready to go home before I walked out the door :)
SkyeDS: had a long talk with Sharjinka this mornin. Gave her
theinformation I keep giving everyone every year about TUNA's
SkyeDS: she's going up to deal with PtA on the 24th. Told her I
would go with, but I have an event.
evile: I'd like to be a fly on the wall for that.
    SkyeDS: me too.
evile: I think I'd rather be at Eeyore's though :)
SkyeDS: havea good time at eeyore's, I plan to have a good time at
    the SCA event :)
evile: Yup. We can just hear all the details afterwards. No need to
ruin a weekend for stuff like that. I think Sharjinka is going to have
all the backup she needs as things stand now.
evile: I just hope everything blows up and is awful and everyone has
a chance to get over it in time for CRW to be pleasant.
SkyeDS: I hope the fearsome four get pissed off and never come to
    another CRW
evile: heh. I think a lot of people would enjoy that.
SkyeDS: I told Sharjinka that all HFS eneds is oen good administrator
    SkyeDS: (like me for example)
evile: for everyone to despise, blame for everything, and stab in the
back. Sounds like a fun job
SkyeDS: they can't give me the job
    SkyeDS: one, it doesn't pay
SkyeDS: and two, I don't have time
    SkyeDS: someone *like* me
evile: I don't think you could _force_ that kind of job on someone,
if that someone was competent and intelligent enough to realize what
it entailed & the personality problems that would come out of it.
SkyeDS: they need someone who isn't a knight
    SkyeDS: who isn't a monarch
evile: The kind of person who would welcome, enjoy, or (worst) get
off on that kind of conflict would NOT be the one to do the job RIGHT
SkyeDS: who isn't deeply embroiled in politics, at all
    SkyeDS: nods. Catch 22.
evile: And nobody who wasn't already a knight would have a chance in
HELL of even getting enough initial support/respect to get the job in
the first place. And since knighthood is a popularity/personality
contest, nobody currently in HFS is capable/competent/trustworthy to
    do it.
SkyeDS: unless it was a Service knight rather than a Fighting knight
evile: which, as far as I know, does not exist in HFS, and you're
    modeling from SCA, right?
    SkyeDS: no
SkyeDS: in SCA they're called Pelicans
SkyeDS: in HFS they're called Service Knights
SkyeDS: HFS = Service Knights, Arts & Sciences Knights, Fighting
Knights (and Tower = all 3)
evile: I think the very nature of HFS, the way it was created, the
way it exists, carries within it the seeds of its own destruction and
if you wanted to save it, youd have to raze it to the ground and
    start over from scratch.
SkyeDS: I think if you want to rescue CRW, you go back to what worked
SkyeDS: which is Drandmir running it
evile: Personally, I don't care enough to put in that kind of work.
SkyeDS: but Drandmir does not seem to want it back
SkyeDS: and everybody was whining about wanting a shot at it
SkyeDS: so fine, everyone throw one of your own but quit the goddamn
motherfuckin bitchwhinemoaning about "it isn't like a Drandmir CRW"
evile: Well, you've seen what happens when anybody steps up to the
plate and takes responsibility for anything. People whine and
complain and there is literally NO pleasing anyone. You do a lot of
work nobody appreciates it, and you get stabbed in the back for your
troubles. I don't blame Drandmir a bit for not wanting to organize CRW

SkyeDS: Rita is an organizer and an administrator. I think she and
Calinorn will do as well with it as can be done with the present
    system.
    evile: yup.
SkyeDS: and as usual, PtA started the shit that hit the fan this
weekend. I don't know what the hell he thinks he's doing, attacking
the most beloved people in HFS...Chelle, Katy (like, omfg) and now
    Mike & Rita
evile: stupid guy. Very self destructive. Too bad hes trying to take
    HFS with him....
SkyeDS: his own little kingdom thinks he's a god but he's slowly but
surely turning every other kingdom against him <shrug>
evile: even the stupidest sheep can wise up eventually :P
evile: I'll be interested to hear what Sharjinka has to say when she
    gets back.
SkyeDS: I just don't get it
SkyeDS: Gabriel can be very intnelligent ad well spokenn
SkyeDS: until you see him blow up
SkyeDS: and until I remember that he chose to tell the entire CR that
    Arthur shit on his chair
SkyeDS: rather than come to me AT Crw and ask me to clean it up
    evile: Nobody's perfect.
SkyeDS: the degree to which he is an ass, when he is a ass, makes one
    forget the good
evile: I literally have *no* room to judge. When I lose my cool, I
    screw up big time, too.
evile: Any time you get people together for any common goal, you are
also gatherng their faults, stupidities, and weaknesses, which also
    become larger.
SkyeDS: it doesn't help his case that he commits his to writing on a
    public board
evile: HFS is largely a group of very nice, very smart, socially
retarded people who like to avoid reality to some greater or lesser
degree, so you can't expect these people to be gentlepersons &
    statesmen...
    SkyeDS: no
SkyeDS: I expect someone who speaks and thinks as well as Gabriel
    obviously does
evile: I personally am very grateful for the Usenet failure which
erased every stupidity I committed to print before 1995.
SkyeDS: not to go off on Mike the way he did.
evile: there is still enough out there for any dedicated anti-E
person to make a very good case against my intelligence, common
sense, decency, or fitness as a human being. But...most people seem
to like me & I do OK in spite of that, anyway :P
SkyeDS: you aren't trying to unify the CR
    evile: Nope.
SkyeDS: if you were, and you were going along being VERY intelligent
andn VERY well spoken andn VERY persuasive, and then you blew up and
every other word was abusive and/or profane
SkyeDS: you would damage your Cause.
evile: But if I ever did try to provide leadership or show my
humanity, and somebody took something I wrote in 1996 and waved it
around as an example of "Who E Really Is"....it might work, but it
would be detrimental to my detractors case in the long run.
SkyeDS: writing it in the middle of your campaign would be more
    injurious
evile: Everybody screws up. Everybody says stupid things at some
point. Finding a leader who is perfect would simply show me the best
    sociopath in the group.
SkyeDS: <shrug> I just think he really shot himself in the foot.
SkyeDS: at the worst possible time
evile: Kind of like how we pick presidents. We aren't going to get
Dean, even if he is principled and honest, because he lost his shit
in public on the campaign trail. Our loss, probably. Kerry's voted
lockstep with W almost every step of the way.
evile: I'm just devil's advocating here. I 've never met Gabriel and
he hasn't done or said anything to/about me personally, and I have
nothing at stake in whether HFS grows or dies...
SkyeDS: I have tried to cry peace personally with him, because he and
I have never "met" face to face either
SkyeDS: but every time we're in the same room, he chooses to scowl at
    me and not speak
    evile: see? socially retarded.
SkyeDS: I would like very much to get along with him
SkyeDS: he's smart and I know he can be nice to other people
evile: Unfortunately, it's *his* choice of who he is and is not going
    to get along with.
SkyeDS: lol not if he wants to unify the CR
SkyeDS: I would wager I'm not the only one feeling this way
evile: back to the socially retarded...
SkyeDS: he picked a bad time to be socially retarded
evile: it isn't a choice, necesarily, any more than being colorblind
or not knowing how to use chopsticks.
evile: Most situations, you won't even realize you are lacking in
    some ability or skill...
SkyeDS: I was hoping to see him succeed
SkyeDS: and I think he couldhave, if he hadn't <shrug>
evile: you never know. He might anyway.
    SkyeDS: hope so
SkyeDS: but kind of doubtful now
evile: I have not yet been successful in predicting the results of
large groups of humans' taking a unified action.
evile: or even in predicting what action such a group may take given
    a certain situation.
evile: I will not enjoy seeing friends who have a stake in this, or
who actually give a crap, being hurt...but I don't know where to
tell 'em to jump to avoid it.
evile: And Sharjinka, despite her straightforward & honest approach,
always seems to create and reap the most hurt, misunderstanding,a nd
just plain drama I've ever seen in my life with the possible
exception of my days in RHPS.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: And she manages to accomplish all of that *without* opening
her legs. Which is pretty unusual for a woman. (or a man, for that
matter, now that I think on it)
    SkyeDS: lol
evile: Which pretty much trumps RHPS drama.
evile: because mostly in RHPS all you have to do to solve a problem
is to remove X's dick from Y's orifice and everyone calms down.
evile: And nobody in RHPS ever had very much money to lose or
steal/have stolen...so this HFS stuff is pretty much beyond my
personal 'large group of socially retarded people' problem-solving
    experience.

2106Re: icq w/A

    Apr. 13, 2004

evile: I wonder if PtA has any idea about the stuff on the 24th, or
what. I can see advantages & disadvantages of setting up a meeting in
    advance.
    SkyeDS: Tiffany invited it
    SkyeDS: /me shrugs
evile: Well, that was mature of her, anyway. I hope PtA doesn't do
    anything stupid.
    SkyeDS: you know he will
evile: I bet he doesn't show.
SkyeDS: as long as the property and the money get turned over to the
Autocrat, that might be for the better
evile: That's probably the best resolution.
SkyeDS: but if they pull the "ya'll wait outside while we deal only
with Elf" that will start a war
    evile: yup
evile: maybe somebody will videotape it.
    SkyeDS: lol
evile: that's not really a bad idea, even though I just thought of it
    to be mean.
evile: Total tangent. Portal of Evi.com has been a treasure-trove
    lately:
    http://areaology.com/area.html

    SkyeDS: treasure trove of what?
evile: their usual: bizarre and interesting web pages.
evile: Personally, I can find nothing 'evil' about David Bowie's
Area. But Portal of Evil is at fault for almost everything I know
(and wish the hell I didn't) about furries.
SkyeDS: lol including the whole yif business I take it
    evile: *shudder* gag.
    SkyeDS: lol
evile: consenting adults and all that. But 1) i don't want to know
and 2) POE has featured furries who practice beastiality which is
right up there with child molesting in my mind.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: And basically justify it the same way all those NAMBLA sickos
do. "Nobody understands the special bond," bla bla . No, sorry, I
don't understand and YOU DIE NOW.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: But mostly I laugh at POE and all the silly people they find
    on the internet
    SkyeDS: gotta love tax time
    SkyeDS: boss gets homicidal
    evile: taxes suck.
evile: People keep forwarding these articles about how the
childfree/single get screwed. ...I don't care. There is no amount of
    money worth having kids for.
evile: and if you're getting married or having kids fo rthe tax
writeoffs, it's definitely NOT the right reason...
SkyeDS: actually until you make 87K agi if you're married you get
    punished
    SkyeDS: pay more than singles
evile: depends on home ownership. our CPA found that we would have
saved a few bux last year if we were married filing jointly
evile: *shrug* still a piss poor reason to make a lifestyle choice.
SkyeDS: anyone wants to spout family values can't keep punishing
married people kids or no kids
evile: I don't think it's right to use money to validate peoples
lifestyle choices, period. Married or no, kids or no, shouldn't make
a craps worth of difference to the government.
evile: Other than, really, kids cost $ to raise and educate. So that
ought to come primarily from the pockets of the people who have
    chosen to produce them.
evile: Is it making your life hellish in the office because boss-man
    is having tax issues?
evile: 've only met him/seen him a little, so I can't really imagine
more than grumbly-grouchyness. Which is bad enough in a 2 person
    office, really.
    SkyeDS: /me nods
evile: Oh well. "this too shall pass". 2 more days and it's all over
    for another year.
    SkyeDS: lol no. extennsions.
evile: yuck. That's like peeling off the bandaid SLOWLY to draw out
the pain. Just rip it & have done.
evile: And remember to write those ugly letters to ones lawmakers
while the wallet is still in pain...
    SkyeDS: yep
evile: the regime change (if it's allowed) in Nov. should bring some
relief to us middle class peon types.
SkyeDS: I don't know if Kerry will be better or worse than the status
    quo.
evile: He is a very Republican Democrat.
evile: I don't think the penalties for lifestyle choices will end.
    Just be less obvious, perhaps.
SkyeDS: I hate both parties with equal passion.
evile: He believes in rewarding breeders. Not as bad as General
Whatsisname who bowed out early, but still bad.
evile: Wesley Clark. His quote was that if you have kids, you pay no
taxes. (then again, what else is new.)
evile: There won't be any revolutionary ideas or major moves on big
    stuff like Taxes.
SkyeDS: neither side will do what really needs to be done
SkyeDS: so it's the difference between a rattler and a cotton mouth
SkyeDS: which is not a whole hell of a lot
SkyeDS: I refuse to cast a vote between Dumb & Dumberer
evile: The death toll in Iraq over a year was about 500. That has
doubled in the past week. I don't think whoever takes over from W has
a chance in hell of anything but a giant bloodbath/Vietnam.
evile: I can't find the website, but there was a website where you
pick your stand on various issues and it matches your candidate.
Really illuminated for me the very minute, negligible, differences
    between party lines.
evile: and, of course, a lot of my personal issues that are important
to me, are not really important to a lot of other people.
    SkyeDS: it's a libertarian site
SkyeDS: a good one I know it but can't name it offhad
SkyeDS: it said I was a slightly conservative libertarian.
evile: There wasn't even a place for NOT rewarding breeding with tax
    $.
evile: Which, after reproductive freedom, is my #1.
evile: But even Rylander goes against the traditional Republican
    stance on that.
SkyeDS: if nonreligious people would just take over the republican
    party
SkyeDS: I know there's at least one libertarian leaning
Representative who is trying to change the party from inside out
SkyeDS: rather than throwing away votes & energy
    evile: yup.
    SkyeDS: I like her
SkyeDS: don't always agree with her
SkyeDS: her name sounds like Susanna Hupp (don't know if that's
    spelling or not)
evile: I'll have to check her out.
SkyeDS: stupid goddamn motherfuckin TSBME puts up files in formats
    that nobody can read
SkyeDS: they done fucked with the wrong pigheaded paralegal now
    evile: heh.
evile: You're so cute when you get all foul-mouthed and pissed off :P
SkyeDS: give me what I want when I ask sweetly for it, or I'll bend
you over and take it, no vaseline necessary
    SkyeDS: /me shrugs
    evile: sounds reasonable.
SkyeDS: the Board acts in ways that I find professionally embarassing
    for the State of TExas.
    evile: that sucks.
SkyeDS: I don't care if they act like children so much
SkyeDS: I am a big child
SkyeDS: but they need to act like children with MANNERS
    evile: heh.
SkyeDS: at least Hugh isn't put off on the rare occasion when I
    verbally let loose
SkyeDS: since he does it all the time
evile: yeah. when you let stuff like that happen *rarely* people know
    how to take it.
SkyeDS: I was fighting with his puter the other day, as he was
walking in and I didn't see him, and after half an hour of fighting
with it it locked up on me and I said goddammit don't you dare
    SkyeDS: he laughed
evile: heh. Sweetie cusses at the machines all the time.
SkyeDS: going to take his box and mine home tomorrow and let Sineater
    work on them some more
    evile: smacks them too.
SkyeDS: trade the drives out so he can have my box and I can have
his, move printer ports andn zip drives and all that good stuff aroudn
    evile: sounds like fun...
SkyeDS: it worked for Fonzi LOL
SkyeDS: I'm trying to talk him into buying a new dell while they're
    cheap
SkyeDS: but it ain'nt gonna happen the week the taxes are due
    evile: nope.
evile: think of it as a write off for next year....
SkyeDS: I wonder how much money the doctors of Texas would pay me to
    blow up the TSBME
    evile: heh
SkyeDS: thing is it's in the three towers with other offices, would
be hard to do it surgically
evile: There must be some reason why they keep their documents that
way. Either their system is so old it would cost $$$ to update &
convert everything to a MS/Word product, or else they're selling the
    conversion program.
SkyeDS: they've got a viewer that's taking literally hours to download
    SkyeDS: it's a *.tiff file
SkyeDS: which I'm sure means we think it's too fucking funny
evile: There must be something in it for them to keep things so un-
    user friendly.
evile: new & different kinds of hell today: 1) someone burned popcorn
and 2) I just found an insect in my cubicle which I killed loudly &
    will doubtless be reprimanded for.
SkyeDS: reprimanded = spoken harshly to or worse...
evile: There are just some kinds of foulness you never expect to be
subjected to in the workplace. Insects.
evile: there are no Real consequences here. Someone will speak to me
harshly and try to make me feel bad.
evile: Nobody will have the zygotes to put it in my file.
SkyeDS: lol <gestures downward with third finger and mutters can you
hear this or do you want me to turn it up>
evile: I keep a tidy house. I wash my body daily. I brush my teeth 3x
a day. I wear deodorant. I am a clean person. I do NOT tolerate bugs
well. And that's what I'll tell them and that's where it'll end.
    SkyeDS: nods.
    SkyeDS: is that time?
evile: just about. I need to actually walk today. Somehow I got home
yesterday, all intending to walk, ended up mysteriously in my Pjs on
the couch with pizza, beer, and "Lost Boys" in the DVD player....
    SkyeDS: lolol
evile: I don't know how it happened... :P
    SkyeDS: lololol
evile: I think my plan today is to walk for 1 hour along the bus
route home, and when my hour is up, ride the rest of the way home.
    SkyeDS: that's a good idea :)
evile: I think so. Hope so.
evile: anyhoo, I should go disperse paper
    SkyeDS: /me hugs
SkyeDS: ciao bella, wind to your wings
    evile: *hugs* Take care :)
