evile: hi :)
SkyeDS: hey there :)
evile: I didn't get to work until after 1 today. argh.
SkyeDS: I didn't get here till noon meself
evile: wow.
SkyeDS: weather
evile: I had to go visit Dr. Davis & then he sent me elsewhere for
all my lab work for Thurs.
Our creek out back was *roaring* this morning.
SkyeDS: I believe it
SkyeDS: how was the drs?
evile: Not too bad. Last time, I got my pre-op instructions & talk
& labwork all at Dr. Davis' office. This time I wasted some time
driving to another place for the lab. But, not bad. Seton Southwest
is nice. they have a labyrinth.
evile: I forgot about the construction on S. Lamar...spent about an
HOUR getting from Seton to work. Very irritating.
SkyeDS: :(
evile: Oh well. I had a note from Dr. D's office, I have plenty of
sick and othe r leave time accrued. I just wanted to get something
done today at work...
SkyeDS: I thought we were definitely on for Easter Sunday in the
park, but now Sineater says that is tentative (sigh)
SkyeDS: he said Lynn was trying for that Sunday and I pointed out
last night that I would like to know not tentatively like, before the
day of
evile: Last time I talked to Lynn, she said she was planning on being
in San Antonio on Easter Sunday, so I don't know where the Easter
Sunday thing came from....
SkyeDS: my point exactly
evile: And I'm not committing myself to *anything* this weekend. I
may get thru the surgery with no ill effects, I may spend the weekend
on the couch popping ibuprofin like candy...I don't know
evile: Unless they talked & Sineater suggested Easter sunday to [brother A], or
[brother A] suggested it to him, I don't know where that day/date came from.
SkyeDS: this is what he said right after talking to Lynn
SkyeDS: and I told him last night
SkyeDS: I don't do "tentative"
SkyeDS: we have fence to build
evile: I think Sineater may be confused. Lynn probably said "not Easter
Sunday, but sometime after that" or soemthing, and Sineater picked
up "Easter Sunday" and lost the rest.
evile: Take the 'doormat' sign off, baby. If you have other things
you need to do, t here is no reason to be at [brother A]/{Rubber Pig}/Sineater's beck &
call.
SkyeDS: I told him I didn't want to get up, get dressed oen way, wait
around to load, to find out midday that we aren't going anywhere
SkyeDS: if we don'nt know by 3 days before, then, we workin far as
I"m concerned
evile: Honey, do what you need to do. And don't let anybody make you
feel bad for doing what HAS to be done.
My much-estranged friend Donna is going to be at Scarby this weekend
& has been trying to guilt me into being there, since she's
coming 'all that way'...well, BS, she can't be bothered to email or
call but I'm supposed to come a-runnin' when she calls? Nope.
evile: I don't think anybody has said 'Easter Sunday'...I think Sineater
mis-heard. And you're right, it's too close to the day to be trying
to scrape together plans. You have other plans, that's that.
SkyeDS: it isn't like I have not got a history of being extremely
flexible about plans
SkyeDS: after all
evile: yup.
evile: For Xtians that's prett much a 'family' day, anyway, so it may
be the same for Messianic Jews. {Rubber Pig} will probably want to do church
& then have the kids spend time with grandparents, aunts, uncles,
etc. in San Antonio.
SkyeDS: why I didn't get it to begin with
evile: I would say go ahead and make your own plans, get your fencing
supplies set up, etc. and do what you planned on doing already. Don't
waste time second-guessing anyone or waiting to hear things from
people who likely didn't say them in the first place
SkyeDS: nods
evile: Lynn will keep us all posted when there *is* an actual plan,
I'm sure.
SkyeDS: nods
evile: I don't think I've ever known her not to give at least a
week's notice for something.
SkyeDS: men just don't make good secretaries.
evile: not your men, anyway. :P
SkyeDS: nope
evile: the director of this agency 2 directors ago had an all-male
staff. Seemed to work out pretty well.
evile: pretty sure they were not on 'our team' however...
SkyeDS: oddly enough the top five executive assistants in the country
(by salary) are men
evile: hm.
evile: wonder which team those five are on :P
evile: In addition to the ablation, I'm getting a d&c for my little
friend, the cyst. It is going to be wierd to be all done fussing &
fighting to get things taken care of.
SkyeDS: wow.
evile: Even wierder when the Depo is totally out of my system, I
imagine.
SkyeDS: nods
evile: This is all I've wanted for so long. I don't know what to want
after this :)
SkyeDS: not want, just be happy :)
evile: It's going to be cool. Wierd. But cool.
SkyeDS: if all of my medical problems just went away at once I don't
know what I'd do with myself either
evile: Once you have your health 100%, its like...the rest of your
problems just kind of line up & seem reasonable & easy to deal with.
Or at least that's the way I'm feeling.
evile: I'm glad that technology happened on the timeline it did, and
retrospectively glad Dr. D did not give me a hysterectomy 4 or so
years ago when I asked for it...
SkyeDS: nods
evile: Essure + ablation will do the same thing, without the trauma
of losing internal organs & such. :)
SkyeDS: :)
evile: The rest of my problems are totally within my control to fix.
I don't have to beg any experts or professionals to do things for me,
I just have to get off my butt and do them myself. It's very cool to
know this
SkyeDS: I bet.
evile: I don't think I'm going to be worth a crap at work tomorrow,
even though I'm going to be here a full 8 hours.
evile: It's almost time for me to go re-park Tom's trooper. And then
I'll be running around tossing papers when I get back up here. So I
should probably say 'bye now...
SkyeDS: /me hugs
SkyeDS: be good :)
evile: *hugs* Take care of you. Have a safe drive home :)
SkyeDS: ty u2 :)
