evile: TGIF! How are you feeling?
SkyeDS: better ty :) how's you?
evile: Not bad. I had an actual real sick day Tues. But maybe it was
    allergies. I'm OK now.
    SkyeDS: :)
    SkyeDS: gsp
    evile: gsp?
SkyeDS: that was supposed to go somewhere else, lol
    evile: heh. OK.
SkyeDS: we moved across the street yesterday
SkyeDS: and they fucked my office up
    evile: All moved now? shit.
SkyeDS: so I'm just sitting here playing until they come fix it
evile: well..paid play time isn't that awful, but it sucks when you
could be at home playing just as easily :P
    SkyeDS: aye
    SkyeDS: Ex auditions tomorrow
SkyeDS: could be getting ready for them
    evile: Good luck :)
SkyeDS: think I'll behave and not get in the saddle
    evile: Today or for auditions?
    SkyeDS: both
evile: aha. Well, they dont' call it 'rocky ranch' or whatever for
nothing. It is *very* rocky out there.
    SkyeDS: good thing they're frontshod
    evile: yeah.
evile: The restaurant down the hill from faire site is good. slow
    service, but good food.
    SkyeDS: meant to ask
SkyeDS: did you camp on sat nights when you vended?
evile: Oh, hell NO. I like my bed. I like a hot shower that doesn't
have other peoples foot fungus and dirt all over it. I pay a lot of $
for those things, so may as well use them.
    SkyeDS: hotel then?
evile: nope. Drove home every night
    SkyeDS: oh
    SkyeDS: how far was that
evile: about an hour, I guess.
SkyeDS: three weekends of rehearsals and four weekends of faire
SkyeDS: I'm wondering if we're entertainment but not cast (ie Robin,
Marian, Ivanhoe, etc) why we have to rehearse alll day every day
evile: There is a shower in the main building with the restaurant for
patrons to use. I don't know if the performers have another place.
evile: I don't know why you'd need to be there so much. You should
    probably ask the entertainment director.
SkyeDS: intended to have long talk w/ ED
SkyeDS: so INgleside doesn't happen again
SkyeDS: in terms of length of performance etc
SkyeDS: we are like the Kumpania at Scarborough. Improv and lanes.
    Not stage.
evile: My impression (as you know, not very complimentary) is that
the Excalibur organizers don't have their s*it together 100%.
SkyeDS: hopefully they're better than the ingleside folx
evile: Definitely better than ingleside, but that's like saying a
Downs Syndrome kid is smarter than an old guy with Alzheimers. (mean.
I know I am going to hell)
    SkyeDS: lol
SkyeDS: well, I'm not going to sign any piece of concrete with bloode
    evile: nope.
evile: Were I you, I'd go with a list of questions in-hand. Being
that it's your first performer audition, it may be hard to know what
questions to ask, though. Wish I'd done a better job with my
interview with Jeannette the vendor person.
    evile: hindsight 20/20 and all
evile: I wonder if there are any yahoo groups or archived messages in
usenet on alt.fairs.renaissance that would be helpful?
    SkyeDS: brb boss
    SkyeDS: bk
evile: cool :) Is stuff fixed so you can work now?
    SkyeDS: nope
    evile: foo.
SkyeDS: movers have to come get stuff out that doesn't belong here
SkyeDS: and then bring back what does
    evile: gah. What a mess.
SkyeDS: and then I have a few hundred boxes to open and organize
    evile: yucko.
SkyeDS: Sharon seems to think I should be able to open boxes and
start organizing now. I don't really see how that's possible.
SkyeDS: only one cabinet is where it is supposed to be
SkyeDS: and I can't put stuff in cabinets that are about to be moved
evile: do you have any way of telling which box contains the items
    for that cabinet?
    SkyeDS: none
    evile: well poop.
    SkyeDS: exactly
evile: I guess you could open & peek into each box, but that would be
    messy and hassley.
SkyeDS: they're all stacked on top of each other
SkyeDS: which means moving them to open them
    SkyeDS: also a no no
    evile: bleh.
evile: I don't know if you got my ICQ last night--Sweetie got me started
on another online time-waster. orkut.com. I may or may not have
invited you to join--I'm not sure if it worked.
    SkyeDS: brb boss again

SkyeDS: will be slow, unpacking files anyway
evile: Ok. I did not mean to transgress a boundary with the orkut
thing. If you don't have the time/inclination or if the invitation
    was 'spammy', I apologize.
SkyeDS: she wants me to put them in cabinets, and let the bulders
    move laden cabinets around
    SkyeDS: I didn't see it
SkyeDS: give me the url again and I'll checdk it out when the boss is
not coming in here every five minutes
evile: Okay. I am not sure I did it right, anyway. I am trying to
find out if it sent out one spam or a million, or anything at all.
SkyeDS: she's having a bad set of days and I'm trying not to be
    scapegoat or punching bag <sigh>
    evile: Moving is stressful.
    evile: http://www.orkut.com/, btw
    SkyeDS: hmm
SkyeDS: first site I've been to that IBM restricted
SkyeDS: guess I'll have to check it from home
evile: It's like friendster, but faster & with more interesting
features. Communities for interests & an event listing that could be
    useful.
SkyeDS: why on earth would it be blocked I wonder
SkyeDS: they don't block yahoo, email, or trillian
evile: Because it is a time-waster, I guess, and has no possible
business application. Theoretically you could use yahoo or ICQ for
    work.
SkyeDS: lol, long stretch of the imagination
    SkyeDS: looking around
SkyeDS: all she did was open boxes and move them around
SkyeDS: I prefer to accomplish something when I move things
around...other than just movfing them around
SkyeDS: but she has bad HR stuff dumped in her lap
SkyeDS: and I think this may just be nerves
evile: Probably. It was enough of a disruption here when they swapped
out our PCs, I can't imagine moving our whole operation somewhere
    else. Giant headache.
    SkyeDS: brb again
SkyeDS: fun fun fun and more fun
SkyeDS: the one cabinet that is where it's supposed to be is locked
and no one has the key
SkyeDS: I feel the need for Thin Mints
evile: I haven't seen any GS this year yet.
SkyeDS: we bought some at Chuy's a couple of weeks ago, and sineater
brough home more this past week I don't know from where
evile: Oh, I take that back, there were some at Book People last
weekend, but they weren't being obnoxious and agressive. Should have
probably rewarded them for that by buying cookies. :P
evile: I like to save at least one box of mints until July/August.
Nothing like frozen thin mints on a hot summer day ;)
SkyeDS: thin mints make good ice cream too
evile: I'm too lazy to work that hard :)
SkyeDS: lol I don't make it, I buy it
evile: I didn't even know there was such a thing.
SkyeDS: nod - brahms or one of those such stores, one in highland mall
    evile: oh. cool!
SkyeDS: keebler grasshoppers taste exactly like thin mints to me
    evile: I don't think I've had them.
SkyeDS: taste just like TMs, cheaper and available all year round
    SkyeDS: brb
SkyeDS: sigh - my neck hurts
evile: I'm sorry to hear that. :(
SkyeDS: half from puttering around and finding out I can't do what
Sharon thinks I should be able to do, and half from stress
    evile: yup.
SkyeDS: think I will traverse the hallways and let them know what the
    new set of obstacles is
SkyeDS: I think my responses are going to be sporadic throughout the
day, so I'm not going to brb you to death
    evile: Okay :) no prob
SkyeDS: if it takes me awhile to answer, can assume it anyway
evile: I'll just be doing my paper-monkey thing, so whenever you get
time to check in, OK :) If not, OK
evile: Monkey push button. Good monkey.
    evile: Monkey Nuke lunch now.
SkyeDS: now I'm a little (understatement) peeved.
SkyeDS: I realize that people are cranky. but I would appreciate if
they would not take it out on me.
SkyeDS: I have accepted the responsibility of what happened to my
neck, because I should have thought to take breaks and stretch and
    all that
evile: They probably don't even realize they are being pissy.
SkyeDS: but the fact is, my neck is what it is. And I have made
boxes and labels and done as much as I could do towards this move
SkyeDS: and I just got asked rather loudly if I'm good for anything
    today
    evile: suck.
SkyeDS: I am NOT the one that did not get my office set up right in
    the first place
SkyeDS: it is NOT my fault that one of the cabinets won't open
SkyeDS: the pain medicine has now worn off and I can't take anymore
    until I get home tonight
    evile: yucko
SkyeDS: if they're going to keep calling into question my abilities I
    might as well go home
SkyeDS: but I think I might better place a call to my handler and let
him know what's going on. better he hear it first from me, before it
    escalates, if it does
evile: right. And maybe get an ETA on the movers & when it will
actually be productive to be in the office again.
SkyeDS: already asked for that, and they have no idea
    evile: great.
SkyeDS: hundreds of us are being moved around, it isn't just my
    department
evile: yucko. I'd be a stress mess too.
SkyeDS: I'm going to call the handler
SkyeDS: try not to sound like chicken minus head
    evile: good plan.
    SkyeDS: and say look
SkyeDS: maybe they won't make anything of it after the stress goes
    away
SkyeDS: but in case they do, I wanted to give you a heads up on
    what's going on around here.
    evile: right.
SkyeDS: I hate feeling like I have to cover my ass because I'm about
    to be ambushed :(
evile: That is a sucky feeling to have. esp. about someplace you
    *have* to be.
SkyeDS: one more implication that I"m a slacker and I damn will file
a worker comp claim on my neck
    SkyeDS: damn well will
evile: I don't see why not. Would probably have needed to see a
    company Dr. right away, though
SkyeDS: I'm sorry that Sharon has HR nasties dropped in her lap. And
I'm sorry that the secretaries had to be here until 10 pm last night
SkyeDS: but there is no need to get all over my case about things I
    have no control over.
    evile: exactly.
SkyeDS: if I am not mistaken about WC, I have the right to see any
doctor, and not necessarily one of theirs.
evile: I don't know anything about it. I know that in industrial
situations, there is usually a co. Dr. who handles WC injuries
evile: Because I see enough unemployment claims related to WC to know
that, but I don't have any idea how white collar companies handle it.
    SkyeDS: just talked to Michael
    evile: good news, I hope?
SkyeDS: he says, no matter how stupid what I'm told to do is, to do
it as best I can without hurting my neck, and if anyone says why are
you doing a stupid thing, well, I'm doing it because you/someone else
    asked me to
SkyeDS: they haven't said anything to him yet
    evile: Okay.
SkyeDS: when my boss came in here, opened boxes and just moved them
pointlessly from one side of the room to the other, I figured, well,
she had that HR nastiness to deal with and she's stressed and what not
SkyeDS: I got the feeling she wanted to know why I wasn't doing what
she was doing right along with her and the fact of the matter is, I
    can't, not with my neck.
    evile: right.
SkyeDS: but I thought, don't say it, just let her be, and she'll go
away, and it's friday, and everyone will be calm/er on Monday
SkyeDS: so then the secretary of the boss's boss says loud enough for
the entire office to hear her that she doesn't understand why I
    bothered to come to work.
SkyeDS: then, in my office with the door shut, she said, don't worry
about, go slow nad do what you can.
SkyeDS: completely contradictory. and I wish she had reversed
venues. If she truly does feel the first thing she said and not the
second, I wish she had said it in the privacy of my office with the
    door shut.
evile: Well, who the hell is the secretary? Nobody. she doesn't sign
your paycheck and wont' be in charge of deciding to make you FT. So
    fuck 'em.
SkyeDS: well, she's tied to Paul Vineis.
    SkyeDS: who is SHaron's boss
SkyeDS: Paul didn't want me here in the first place, I really don't
    think
SkyeDS: in the same breath, he'll say to Sharon, I think you spend
too much time on SCO (which is why she begged him for me) and then
that he doesn't think I have enough to do
evile: But it will be upt to sharon or paul to boot you, or whatever.
And who knows, maye the secretary just said that to suck up because
she knows how her boss feels.
SkyeDS: so I really don't want people thinking along those lines
SkyeDS: I figure that's probalbly the case
SkyeDS: but I odn't really like being made a scapegoat publicly
SkyeDS: but I"m just going to hole up in here, do what I can do
    without hurting.
evile: It's a nuisance to have people being ugly, but you've covered
your bases & the people in charge know what's up.
SkyeDS: and the next time someone says anything, I'll simply suggest
    that I go home.
evile: I would amend that 'someone' to 'someone IMPORTANT'....who
cares what some nasty little peon has to say?
    SkyeDS: I know
SkyeDS: I keep telling myself, it's friday, everyone is stressed,
    blow it off
    evile: yup.
SkyeDS: the worst that can happen is that they decide to let me go.
SkyeDS: I have another iron in the fire, so.
    evile: exactly.
SkyeDS: going to make a token effort to put up hanging files, so I
will be slow. Although it's almost lunch time, and I am so tempted
to get the hell out of here and go someplace to get lunch
evile: That might be a good idea.
    SkyeDS: I think so too.
SkyeDS: I'm going to walk to the cafeteria and back (not even in this
    building). bbiab.
evile: Ooh, wow. I found a wine & cheese site that's exactly what
I've been looking for!!! Now I want to have a tasting.
    http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/cpairing.htm

    SkyeDS: bk
    evile: nice lunch break?
SkyeDS: I think I'll lock my door.
SkyeDS: just now got back from the cafeteria with my slice of cheese
    pizza
    evile: good plan.
SkyeDS: is it time to go home yet? <looks pitiful>
evile: feels like it. I got here this morning and emailed "out 7:20"
    to my boss.
evile: Have you checked the weather for the weekend yet? Is it
supposed to be rainy & windy & cold some more. :(
SkyeDS: this morning they said it would be pretty sunny and warm
    tomorrow
SkyeDS: wonder when that changed :()
evile: Thats Tx weather for ya.
evile: Oh well. I've got firewood, books & wine. No tragedy for me to
spend another Saturday in front of the fireplace.
SkyeDS: I have firewood, haven't used my fireplace yet
evile: We didn't use ours for the first couple years. I finally took
out the fake wood ceramic things & used it.
SkyeDS: fire wine soup/chili and a book sounds good to me
evile: yup. If I d thought about it, I could have fired up the crock
pot last night and had something waiting today when I get home. Oh
    well.
    SkyeDS: I love my crockpot
evile: Hot & sour soup in the crock pot *rawks*
SkyeDS: do you feel safe leaving yours on low while you're away from
the house? or do you think it is a fire hazard?
evile: I got a low-calorie, low fat, low sodium recipe out of FIT
magazine and it is actually damned good.
evile: Our house has aluminum wiring...if it goes , it goes.I dont
think a crock pot plugged in will make any diff.
evile: Sweetie has a bank of computers plugged in & running all day, we
have clocks and microwave plugged in all day....if it happens, it
    happens.
    SkyeDS: nods
    evile: I doubt it, though.
SkyeDS: I hope it's nice tomorrow. The girls haven't been out in two
    weeks
SkyeDS: and at that point it had been two weeks ore more too
    evile: aww.
    SkyeDS: they get bored
    evile: yeah, I'm sure.
    evile: brb, potty break.
    evile: much better.
    SkyeDS: wb
SkyeDS: wish there was a drug to produce the "office space" effect
    SkyeDS: a legal one
    evile: hee.
SkyeDS: if you take one of those waterbottles that is tinted blue
SkyeDS: and you put wine in it
SkyeDS: it looks like grape juice
evile: I hear vodka is the best for the office alkie. keep it in a
nice big contact lense saline solution bottle, nip off to the ladies
    room to "rinse your contacts"
SkyeDS: where on earth did you get that?
evile: Anecdotal evidence from former coworkers of current coworkers.
    SkyeDS: omfg
evile: And current employees in other depts that current coworkers no
    longer work with.
evile: Admittedly, I drink too much and for the wrong reasons at
times, but never before work or AT work.
SkyeDS: a little wine with lunch would certainly help, along with
heating pad. Now that I have enough plugs.
evile: J-Law sometimes gets wine with lunch when she actually gets out
    of the office for lunch.
SkyeDS: don't see any difference in that, and having it with lunch
    here with my door locked
evile: liability issues re: alcohol consumption on premises.
    SkyeDS: point
SkyeDS: it takes almost as long to go to the cafeteria and back as it
would to drive somewhere and back
SkyeDS: wish I had a dorm fridge and dorm microwave, I'd be set.
    evile: That would be nice.

    evile: J-Law says I should do a Spain-tasting.
    SkyeDS: Spain would be lovely
SkyeDS: Andalusian horses and good looking guys in tight toreador
    pants.
evile: I know zip about Spanish wine. But I guess that would be fun,
    finding
    something new & interesting.
    SkyeDS: oh.
SkyeDS: I thought you meant, in Spain
    SkyeDS: <giggles>
evile: Wasn't thinking of tasting horses or men.
evile: hee. No, can't afford to travel. But might be able to afford
    some
    imported groceries.
SkyeDS: I told Hugh pretty straight forwardly that any time he cared
    to
    make
me a full time offer I would give two weeks notice to IBM
    evile: cool. *fingers crossed*
SkyeDS: he didn't say anything about it one way or the other
evile: Going from PT to FT practice/staff is a big jump.
SkyeDS: haven't been to his office since the neck brace
SkyeDS: stairs only way up to it
    evile: yucko.
SkyeDS: but I will call him and let him know I'll be there Tuesday if
    I
    can
    take the brace off
SkyeDS: will be out of muscle relaxant on Tuesday so maybe I will be
    in
    position to navigate stairs
    evile: *fingers crossed*
evile: Oh, yay, Canada says it's still OK to spank your children.
    http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?
    tmpl=story&cid=841&e=3&u=/nm/20040130/wl_ca
    nada_nm/canada_spanking_col
SkyeDS: the mothers in the Rockdale SCA think so too
SkyeDS: and one of them teaches at Lexington
evile: Do people even _think_ before they start bleating to
    Government
    about
    their problems?
    SkyeDS: in this country now?
    evile: Anywhere, apparently.
SkyeDS: we are a hell of a long way from JFK's ask not what your
    country can
    do for you
evile: Instead of making spanking legal/illegal, why not try and make
    sure
people get parenting education. Why not make sure abusive people don't
breed? But to tell every parent, no matter how good/bad they are at
parenting to spank/not spank...where will it end?
SkyeDS: teacher friend says corporal is back in schools now
    SkyeDS: up to the administrators
evile: There are effective methods of behavior modification &
    discipline
that have nothing to do with spanking. But it has to start at a young
    age,
be consistent, and by the time a kid gets to school, nothing is going
    to be
effective if the parents havent taught basic behavior.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: Sad that such a thing would need to be legislated, anyway.
SkyeDS: I prefer as little legislation as possible
SkyeDS: but the stupider the populace becomes...
    evile: exactly.
evile: Eventually there will be laws telling them when to wipe their
    butts
evile: I love little Terri, but this article apparently got her up in
    arms
because she thinks spanking should be against the law. She's also pro
choice. I just bite my tongue when the hot topics come up.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: She's an intelligent adult and she feels herself well-informed
    on the
subject, so there is no point making bad feeling.
SkyeDS: it isn't honest disagreements that bother me so much as
    fights
    that
    involve ad hominem attack
evile: Well, that's where things always go when they can't get you to
    change
your mind on the issues themselves.
SkyeDS: in a court of law that would cost you your case on the spot
evile: Terri hangs with crowds that are pretty pro-choice & such, so
    I
think she's learned to agree to disagree and not get her feelings
    hurt
    when
    people dont' agree with her.
SkyeDS: I am a political conundrum
SkyeDS: if you averaged all my views, I suppose you could call me a
    moderate
    SkyeDS: but I'm not really
SkyeDS: I'm very conservative on some things and very liberal on
    others
evile: Yup. I took one of those useless online quizzes and they
    matched
    me
with Dean 100%. But when I went down the list and actually compared
    his
stand on issues vs. mine, it was actually more like 80. maybe.
SkyeDS: those quizzes call me a slightly conservative libertarian
SkyeDS: I think, the Libertarian Party would stand a better chance if
    they
tried to pry the Repubs away from the religious right rather than
    strike out
    on their own
SkyeDS: did you know there are gay Repubs? They call themselves Log
    Cabins
evile: true.//Festive dated the Treasurer for the young gay
    republicans
    in
    Austin.
evile: I'd vote Libertarian in a heartbeat if I didn't know that
    would
    just
    give Bush one more vote.
SkyeDS: if that woman comes in here without knocking one more time so
    help
    me
evile: At least one Repub.s got it right. There was a great quote
    from
    Carol
Keeton Rylander ETc. re; she'd rather spend 1000 on education than
    12000 on
    incarceration later on.
SkyeDS: if it would work that way in practice as well as theory, yes
evile: right. In a perfect world...
evile: but for a while, it would be cash running out at both ends
    with
    no
hope in sight, and voters wouldn't stand for it long enough for it to
    actually right itself.
    SkyeDS: nod
evile: Oh well. There's always SARS.
evile: all of my internet connections seem to have gone away except
    ICQ.
    wierd.
    SkyeDS: brb
    evile: ok

evile: I lost all my web pages & launchcast radio. Had to reboot
    SkyeDS: "(
evile: I can't work when I can hear so much office noise--need my
    headphones :)
SkyeDS: my difficulty is, every time I take a break and sit down,
sharon chooses to come in here and accuse me of doing nothing
    evile: That's irritating.
SkyeDS: if it doesn't stop I think I'm going to cry pain and go home
SkyeDS: I'm already lifting boxes and I shouldn't be
    evile: feh.
evile: If you ever want to even think about filing a WC claim, better
quit doing the stuff the Dr. told you not to...
SkyeDS: and that's exactly what I intend to tell her next time she
    barges in
SkyeDS: I've done all I can do, without violating dr orders
    evile: *nods*
    SkyeDS: I'm sorry.
SkyeDS: omg, she managed to come in here and not get on my case for
    once.
    evile: good :)
evile: Well, depending on which forecast you look at, tomorrow looks
    like it'll probably be OK.
SkyeDS: I'm hoping for the sunny, high of low 60s/hi 50s one
evile: Yeah. Most of them are that way. Some throw in wind or
morning clouds, but that's still tolerable
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: It was almost always windy out at the Excalibur site.
evile: The camping is pretty nice. Portapotties up on the hill, but
there is the regular restroom & shower down in the main
    building/restaurant.
evile: I camped there once with jaime & kathleen, as a patron.
evile: Not as rowdy as TRF but hopefully there's quieter camping for
performers. The whole Excalibur group seems like a party hearty
    crowd, though.
SkyeDS: I have to give thought to camping or driving
SkyeDS: but the tent takes effort to put up
SkyeDS: and I odn't know if it's worth the effort to put it up and
take it down for one night a week, seven weeks running
    evile: yup.
SkyeDS: wonder what other vendors do
    SkyeDS: vendors/entertainers/etc
evile: I guess it'll depend on what the drive from your house is
    like, mostly.
SkyeDS: if I thought it were safe, I'd put the tent up and leave it
    up (but empty)
evile: The gargantuan setup on one side of me had a really cool RV--
but then again, they travel all year. The nasty people right next
door also had an RV, smaller scale.
evile: I don't know about anybody else, I didn't really get to
circulate much. 1 person, 1 booth. fun
SkyeDS: I suppose they were there all week
evile: the big setup was. The little nasty people, the husband and
the SIL had day jobs during the week.
evile: And I'm assuming the owner spent her week at home, making more
    hideous crap for her booth.
SkyeDS: do you think empty tent would be safe during th eweek?
evile: Safe from people, but not from roaming critters and/or
weather. Very bad wind out there. Which is where the 'no pop up' rule
    came from for Vendor booths.
evile: Another question for the ED & faire management. Make a list,
    seriously.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: Hopefully theyve done this long enough now that they'll have a
good bit of info readily available for new performers. But you'll
want to make sure you get all your questions answered, one way or the
    other.
SkyeDS: keep thinking bout investing in a tent that's faster/easier
    to put up
evile: The year I vended, they had a booklet re: costumes, faire
language, etc, but it didn't get passed out until 2nd week of faire.
SkyeDS: they make them for truckbeds for example
SkyeDS: if I could afford a shell for the truck, I could just put the
    feather bed back there
evile: yup. J&K, before their Prowler, used to just put an air
mattress in the back, since they had a shell.
evile: We have a dome tent that wasn't too expensive at Academy. I
upgraded the waterproofing myself and it supposedly sleeps 6 but in
    RL sleeps 3 with gear.
evile: It goes up pretty quick--half an hour at the outside.
evile: Then again, your boys took 2 hours with a thing called
    an 'easy up'....so YMMV :P
    SkyeDS: lol <no comment> lol
evile: cheap shot--it was dark & the weather was bad. I shouldn't be
    mean.
SkyeDS: normally they work pretty well in tandem together
    evile: yeah.
SkyeDS: last trail ride was very pleasant. work went much faster and
smoother with three people than with two
    evile: I'm sure!
    SkyeDS: particularly the tent
SkyeDS: sineater is not as wont to take that peculiar tone with M or J as
    he is with me
evile: Assuming you have the whole gang every weekend, the tent might
not be such an issue at Excalibur.
evile: I thought sineater and Kaleon werent' speaking?
SkyeDS: they haven't in I don't know how long
SkyeDS: however, before all that happened, when they were working in
tandem together, he didn't take tone w/ him
evile: *shrug* man-to-man talk is always different than sweetie-to-
sweetie. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not.
SkyeDS: nods. It isn't like I don't do anything. I set up/take care
of the 20 panel round pen, the horses and the bird
SkyeDS: and if all three of us were doing anything at once, Arthur
    would take umbrage. Loudly.
    evile: heh
evile: Well it's about time for me to make my last rounds. Good luck
    tomorrow!
    SkyeDS: grazie! ciao! <hugs>
    evile: *hugs!*

Hey, did you get a spam from orkut.com asking you to
be my friend? I am trying to see if it worked or not,
and I asked UB via ICQ, but she got strangely silent
on the topic. I don't know what I am threatening or
offending by sending her an orkut 'friend' request,
but apparently I crossed a boundary of some sort,
    she's acting bizarre about it.

    J-Law:

    No orkut spam here.

UB is whack. She probably felt like it was some kind of evil trap.
As soon as she succumbed to being your friend, you'd find a way to
yank the rug out from under her.

    John is a moron.

And I think you might have something there: re: the penis metaphor.
He probably drives fast to make up for his subpar sexual performance.

God, I am such a bitch. Ain't it cool?

You are totally right re: UB, because that is exactly
what she does to me, so she assumes that's the way I
    behave, too.
