I did all my favorite things: spent $ frivolously, ate, drank, got
hugs, flirted, and slept in. Life is good :)

I went over to L & B's on Saturday and looked at photos. I was
working on a project for G (Sister H's dad). He is making a Kid photos
calendar just for L. I hope it isn't too pretentious.

I saw a lot of pictures where Mom and L were my age and I look
just like them. A photo of my grandmother in her cap & gown,
graduating from nursing school, and her eyes & mine are the same. It
was pretty....profound. I don't really even have words. Just this
sense of Family & Time...and how wierd it is to know that a person
can go from infancy to adulthood while another person is an adult and
    basically stays the same.

Anyhoo, got some shopping done for Decemberween. I am about done with
the decor aspect of it. I have several recipes to shop for, but
that'll wait until closer to the event.

I hung out with the HFS folks yesterday. It was kind of fun going out
to the park and getting hugs from *everyone*. Apparently I'm
developing a fan club again :) I didn't realize it, but the Jack
Sparrow hair thingys I made for Sharjinka, she passed on to Jose and
he won a Halloween costume contest dressed at Captain Jack Sparrow.
How much does *that* rawk? He gave me a hug & thanked me & asked if
he could hang on to them until A-Con, where he will be in another
costume contest. I said 'sure!'. :) That is so cool!

After the park, a bunch of us went over to Val & Chris' house and
watched Pirates & had spaghetti. It was quite excellent. Harmless
flirting with Thax. He is a doll & totally safe, so it was awesome to
trade salacious comments & such. I don't want to be single ever
again, but I do miss flirting sometimes.

I'm taking Friday off, so this is a short work week. Semi-dreading
Ingleside, but also kinda looking forward. :P Really really hope it
will go smoothly & we'll all have a good time. But...no serious
expectation that it will. I'm sure there will be some
misunderstanding or fuckwittage at some point :(

Total debt at the beginning of 2003: 9714.50

Total debt at the end of 2003: 9471.32

    Total progress made: 243.18

I refuse to total payments made towards debt in 2003--it would just
    make me sick and sad.

On the plus side, I'm doing December cash-only, with the exeption of
ordering from DHC and the winter holiday fairy cards I ordered.

    whoop.

OH! I forgot to tell you--I had this crazy dream
Saturday night. in the dream, I went to Australia with
Mom, stepdad, brother A & Sister H. I looked out the hotel window
and saw dingoes eating some kind of carcass, and so I
stayed in the hotel the whole time and then on the
last day as we were leaving, I realized that 1 US
dollar equalled 1.5 Australian dollars and I got all
pissed off because I hadn't taken advantage of the
exchange rate to go buy shoes.

Back in the US, I was working for a jerk-ass lawyer at
what looked like the old part of Tulane U, and you
were one of my coworkers. I got to work, and the locks
had been changed. It was my job to open the office in
the morning, so I was just standing around, noticing
that some trees were blooming that hadn't been before
I left. Then you showed up and you were filling me in
on all the jerky stuff the boss had done while I was
gone, and then he showed up (in this really
pretentious gawdawful off-white linen suit! Like he
was a yankee trying to play "southern gentleman
lawyer") cussed me up one side and down the other for
being so stupid, found a fake rock in the parking lot
with the new key in it, and opened the door.

    WIERD.

That is a weird, weird dream. When I was picturing it, everything
looked like BBM, which, of course you haven't ever seen... but your
descriptions evoked something about those days that I can't really
describe. Also, I locked myself out of the office on a fairly
regular basis. I totally identify with the not buying shoes
    thing. :)
