865ce weekend

  • Sep. 8, 2002

Friday nite: Worked out. Went to HEB and Whole Foods looking for
Odwalla. Found 'em. All set up for my liquid fast for the weekend:
Friday at Sunset to Monday at Sunset. saw "Reign of Fire" with Tom at
the dollar movies. Bad movie. Silly Matthew Mccaunahay (sp?) with his
big busy beard and no head hair. feh. Plot holes you could drive a
truck thru: where were they getting their fuel, electricity, clean
water? Convenient helicopter landing pad there at the end where they
confronted the only male dragon. feh. Silly. But hilarious. Worth the
    $2.

Saturday: woke up, snuggled, got lucky. Puttered 'roun the house,
drinking coffee. Did Laundry, dishes, didn't clean my work room.
Got my oil changed. Got the nail in my tire removed & tire
patched. Checked po box. Joanns fabric, looking for stuff. Found some
corn fabric that will make hilarious chemise for terrible TRF costume.
Toy Joy to get K&K's wedding present--Tiki glasses. Found good hawaii'
themeed wrapping paper, too. Made FRench onion soup for dinner. Very
    good.

Sunday: up, went to Nude Yoga, nobody showed. I forgot to go to the
thing at Elysium on Friday. I wonder if Lonnie is mad. He never told
me what to put on flyers, so I never made any. :( Went to gym, did 40
min on treadmill, weight circuit (all my fave machines are breaking
and since the ones that were brokenwhen I joined are still broken,
likely to remain so. I like them. electronic to set different positive
& negative weights (like up is 20 lbs, down is 30, Lonnie tol dme this
is a good way to 'trick' your body into building strength), little
LED readouts of your reps. I will be sad when none of those work
anymore :(. HEB: more onions & bouillon, 2-for-1 Garnier coupon, so
got two black cherrys, got dishwasher soap. Then Ross, where none of
the ruffly ren-shirts fit right, none of the jeans fit right, so I got
a purse, a backpack purse for Cozumel, and a new little mini-purse to
replace my wallet on a string, which was about to die. Also a ceramic
corn mug for my terrible renfaire costume. Dyed my hair. Made soup.
Finished getting outfits for the week ready. did some dishes. Watched
TV. Finished _the Tin Princess_ and _the Glass dragon_ both this
weekend. Dreamt about the B'bards, and bad reception on my cell phone,
and something about going back to Tulane and having a 3 story
apartment, with the bathroom in the lowest level, living and kitchen
on street level, and bedroom upstairs. Wierd. Bookshelves were in
shower stall, I was trying to figure out how to keep books from
    getting wet.

Wierd dreams. Quiet Weekend. Not looking forward to the week.

866 my poly past?

  • Sep. 8, 2002

The last time I went to an Austin Poly event, Jason started talking
about women and their society-inflicted hangups, how it's sometimes
harder to get a woman to explore her sexual feelings because of all
this engrained guilt. That really hit something with me. I started
thinking about my past, my history, my erotic awakening (s) and
identifying the sources of shame that have haunted me...trying to
find a way to make peace with the original sexual self that I started
to find, in innocence, and who was kind of chased into the shadows
because I was told that I wasn't supposed to be this way or that way.
And then wondering how I can be at peace with me/her while
maintaining a good relationship with my very monogamous heterosexual
guy. Just being with a group of people who can be openly
affectionate, any old way, and who are so non-judgemental about
things is really water in the desert for me. I feel like I've come
home. Even if none of these relationships turn into sex...I am just
really glad & grateful to have such a good bunch of people to spend
    time with.
