Friday: J's b-day party. they rented a moonwalk & a snow cone
machine for him, so it wasn't as pathetic as I had pictured. Also had
a pinata. M grilled hot dogs & sausages, there were bug-themed
snacks, a great cake, worms & dirt pudding, killer sugary fruit
punch...it was a really great time. I think all the kids had a good
time. C is really FAT! Good god, that is a fat kid. He has a
GUT. Anyway...J got lots of prezzies.
Ziggy is on an italian charm bracelet kick. It's this stainless steel
flat link bracelet, kind of like a watch band, and you can take out
each link and replace it with other links. You can buy links with
initials, animals, zodiac signs, birth stones, you-name-it. I want
one with the poly-heart symbol. Yeah, I really needed another
expensive thing on my eternal wish list. Ah well, they wre cool. She
gave J one with his initials.
Today I did laundry & dishes, and vacuumed & shampooed the bedroom
carpet. I checked the po box, goofed around at Sephora, tried on
Arpege, Givenchy Hot Couture, Halston Unbound & Bulgari BLV. Arpege
was all tuberosy and old lady and nasty, hot couture was all candy &
cookie smelling (yum) Unbound was soapy & clean smelling, and BLV
was like a mixture of soap & chemical toilet smell. I looked at the
Pupa cosmetics--I want to get J one of those as soon as her mom
is letting her wear makeup. There's one that looks like a yo-yo that
is cute, also the lady bug, & the angel are possibilities.
I came home & changed into a swimsuit & went out to bull creek dist.
park & went to the massage falls, then further up the creek. WEnt
under the highway an then came on back. Picked up a lot of trash.
Found a hidden spring near the massage falls. Had a really nice time.
I think I might have gotten some exercise, too ;) It was nice. I
really like that park. Found 'my' picnic table--off to one side,
farther away from the rest, with a trail down thru the woods and into
the creek. also kind of close to the beginning of a hiking trail. It
was very nice. I had a good time.
I am thinking I need to make a banner for the Austin Poly's, with the
heart & the infinity symbol on it. I guess I should go get some felt
& fabric paints :)
I also stopped by Eckerd's on the way out an got more Bullfrog spray
on spf 36. And a dark Chocolate kit kat bar. it was yummy, even
though it was all squashed like it had melted and reformed inside the
wrapper.
Tom & I are going to Mongolian BBQ for dinner. Tomorrow is Fiesta TX
with X & fam. That is going to be a great time :)
