I fell down twice last night--slipped on dog barf in the kitchen and
bruised my left elbow, and bent my left knee and right ankle in ways
    they did not enjoy.

Then, I was turning off all the lights to go to bed and thought I
should probably put a few more minutes on the dry cycle, so I turned
back around to turn on the livign rm light, tripped over the dog, and
    rugburned both my knees.

    Very annoying.

I'm mostly ready to camp. Still have to make onion bread & oatcakes,
and decide what clothing to pack. But other than that, I'm done. and
I'll go ahead and pack up the car tonight, just to have one less
thing to do tomorrow after work.

I'm excited about it, even with the bad weather threatening.

    Taurus
    Horoscope (by astrocenter.com)
It might be high time you did a little socializing, dear Taurus.
Chances are you've done little else than work the last couple of days
and getting together with some friends or family can go a long way
towards feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. If you have children,
spending a day just hanging out with them can do wonders for you. If
you don't, share time with those you feel closest to so you can
    unwind.

    Gemini
    Horoscope (by astrocenter.com)
If there's brain-work to be done today, dear Gemini, you might want
to put it off until tomorrow. It'll likely be your social side that
is strongest. Recent aspects have lent a great deal to your ability
to get things done, to organize and to focus but today, this has
shifted to an energy that will suit your innate love of getting
together with others. Let such activities refresh you and give you an
opportunity to unwind. Laughter for you, Gemini is very therapeutic.
See about creating as much of this as you possible can today.

cool! I'm going out w/ family for fajita nite tonight--Lynn, Bob,
Alex, Holly, and Tom. :) Life is good. I got L&B a bottle of Moscato
last night & a silly card. I really didn't know what to give them for
their anniversary, they already have so much stuff.

Tom is worried that he may be laid off on Friday. We'll see. I'm NOT
giving up my camping weekend for that. Selfish & wrong? Probably. But
what will I accomplish by giving up my weekend, forfeiting my camping
fees, and hanging around while Tom mopes?

      1. invitation from J&K to camp out Memorial Day Weekend with J&K and
friends for J's bday. Tom will be busy preparing for the Checker meet
in Michigan in June. So...do I go without him and endure the endless
barrages of "Where's tom wheres tom wheres tom wheres tom?" Do I
force my single independent woman-ness on them and make them
uncomfortable with my lack of SO? (yeah, like I'm really after any of
the guys in the group. tcha! I'm such a sexual predator. hahah) Or do
I accept the fact that unless I have Tom with me, I am not really
welcome in that group and just live with the fact that to those
people I'm a package deal or I'm nothing.

      2. haven't heard from Keith and Kate since they email invited us to
Keith's bday back in Oct. or Nov. I've emailed & invited them to
several things between then and now, but they've never even bothered
to reply. Then yesterday I get an evite to their Engagement Party in
May. Do I go, accepting the fact that it's probably just a bid for
more presents, or do I decline, doing them more courtesy by replying
than they have bothered to do for me in the last 4-6 months? The suck
thing is that K&K are very nice people and we always enjoy our visits
with them, usually end them by saying how much fun we have with each
other and we should get together more often. They're a busy couple.
His company sends him all over the world. She's just starting out in
her career. They have family obligations and season tickets to every
arts event in Austin. So I really would like to believe that they're
just really super busy and not just rude. But then again, how much
time does it take to reply to an email with "sorry, we're busy"
