evilecustoms was very long this time. Looks like TSA has gotten into the cruising biz and trying to make it as uncivilized and unfriendly as flying. boo.
Swam with Dolphins in Honduras==FABOOOOO!
Walked around town in Belize=SCAAAARY. Like....new orleans but worse. Got guided/somehwat scammed by a hair braider named Carol who appointed herself our tour guide for the day.
Mayan Ruins & Beach in Cozumel=very knowledgable and talkative tour guide=no time to wander to the temple of the Bats by myself, not much time at the beach (sort of OK because the 'resort' we went to was on the East side of the island which is very full of big waves that will smash your sorry pink body against sharp lava rocks) very little time to shop once we got back to Cozumel.
Didn't find much of anything as far as souvenirs/gifts for people, that was disappointing. 7 days at sea was maybe too long this trip out. I don't know if it's just that I'm older and less fit than I have been in the past, or having to walk a bigger ship, or 3 port days in a row, or what...but I spent a lot of time tired, and still am.
Last day of the cruise, some careless balcony party people dropped a beer bottle on Thax and he got 8 free stitches as a souvenir of his last day at sea.
More indepth reportage later, with pics.
Now, we need to get the dog and some large waterproof bandages for Thax's shoulder.

Date: 2012-05-27 11:34 pm (UTC)I had to sit on my hands to keep myself from typing "Next time, I'm not going to allow myself to be pushed and bullied and manipulated into taking an itenerary I don't want at at time that's not convenient/too expensive for me just for the sake of going along with the ostensible wishes of 'the group' AKA Flakeasaurus Rex"
but....I didn't. Thax told me not to respond at all.
My actual response was much more...measured. Still not particularly kind, but whatev.
