I think you did well. The only thing I would suggest doing differently is running for the scene of the accident, dairy be damned, in case the driver was bleeding to death or something. If he didn't need immediate assistance, go put your food up and come back with the data.
As for the woman in the truck, she had it coming, but it is probably better for your karma that you didn't yell back.
