this also reminds me of the yuppie and hipster trash I see at Whole Foods, Central Market, Spec's, and the like, pushing and shoving and elbowing to get to the free samples, and then grabbing handfuls instead of the intended 'small taste'.

They don't NEED the free food, they just WANT it so bad that they are rude, selfish, greedy, and violent in order to get it.

Maybe I don't hang out with poor people so much, but when we used to serve Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless back in San Antonio, I don't remember the hungry poor people acting like that.
