    evile: hi :)
SkyeDS: hey there :) very pretty pictures
evile: I'm glad they showed up for you. Lynn had to retry a few times
because the server was busy. She got her photos back, I'll see them
    Sunday a.m.
SkyeDS: sineater didn't have much to say about it at all
SkyeDS: I thought he'd be more upset at missing it <shrug>
evile: Well, I'm glad he's not too upset. There may be some sort of
famiy gathering in July (depending on her health) when Mom Greg &
Sister H are here (?) They called me yesterday evening as I was on my
way out the door, so I didn't really get any details.
evile: Brother A and The Rubber Pig each get on one extention and start babbling--
makes me CRAZY. I can only listen to one person at a time...they're
    like kids!!
evile: I don't know if Mom & [stepdad] will come down now, since the point
of their visit is now rather moot.
evile: And Mom really HATES Texas summer.
SkyeDS: so I did hear two voices on the machine
    SkyeDS: I wasn't sure
    evile: yup.
SkyeDS: keep me posted and I'll do my best to get us to family
    gatherings whenever.
SkyeDS: although it's getting progressively harder
SkyeDS: I think I have plans for every weekend in June, and looks
like more than half the weekends in July
SkyeDS: all of which can be changed of course
evile: *shrug* I have a life, too. If I have other plans and they
call me the day before some big event, I'm not always going to be
    able to make it.
evile: Oh well. I went & saw Troy last night, I really wasn't just
lying to get off the phone, I had a 'date' with my friend Niki to see
    a movie :)
SkyeDS: my movie list: Secret Window, Troy, Hidalgo, Shrek 2, Van
    Helsing
evile: I'd totally be up to see Troy again. *yummmms*
evile: I haven't seen Shrek 2 or Van Helsing yet. Niki said VH was
great & she thought the vampire babes were totally hot :) I think she
& I have some of the same kinks.
evile: Are y'all coming to poly dinner tonight?
SkyeDS: sineater has no way to get there from home, he would have had to
hang out at work with me all day. And I suspect i will be very tired
when I get off work :-/
    evile: oh well.
evile: I still have stuff I got in MT for ya's. I think I have a bday
    present for you too.
    SkyeDS: aw, ty
evile: Any interest in the bellydance show on Friday?
SkyeDS: I will ask :) although I suspect the boys responses will be,
you want us to do what on Friday and then get up early Sat am and do
    what?
    evile: Okeydoke.
SkyeDS: they seem to think I like to cut my scheduling too close.
    evile: heh.
SkyeDS: just wait till they find out what the weekends after my
birthday look like with all the Saturday practices in Houston and
    Elgin.
evile: which is why I have given up including anyone but ME in my
    plans.
SkyeDS: and having to be back in Rockdale on Sundays for lessons.
evile: Theoretically, it can be done...
SkyeDS: there are three Saturday practices and two Sunday lessons for
    June
    evile: *nods*
SkyeDS: and in July, Coronation is the 2nd weekend, my family reunion
may be the 3rd weekend, and CRW is the 4th weekend.
evile: the reunion and CRW aren't at the same time anymore! awesome.
SkyeDS: sineater and Jesse kick ass
SkyeDS: Daddy keeps asking me why I can't leave the horses at home
for 3 days by themselves <sigh>
SkyeDS: first of all , they were INVITED back to the reunion
SkyeDS: and secondly, I pointed out to him what happened when they
were left alone for less than 24 hours at one time, on a professional
    horse ranch in Txka.
SkyeDS: I have many friends in the horse bidness, and none of them
would leave their horses for 3 days alone
    evile: yeah.
SkyeDS: would be nice if gas prices went down
evile: they will...and Bushie will take all the credit so we'll vote
    for him. And people will.
SkyeDS: and I will "throw away" my vote, oh well
    SkyeDS: better than not voting
    evile: *nods*
SkyeDS: I get tired of hearing that a 3d party vote is thrown away
SkyeDS: at least I'm voting for someone and not against someone else.
    evile: exactly.
SkyeDS: Bush/Kerry decision is like rattlesnake/cottonmouth,
    dumb/dumberer decision. no thanks.
    evile: It's looking that way...
SkyeDS: I think things would be infinitely better if we nuked DC with
all of them in it and took over as benevolent dictators ourselves.
evile: And then set up gas chambers for most of the rest of the jerks
    in this country...
    SkyeDS: :D
evile: One specifically reserved for every kid diagnosed with ODD
SkyeDS: long leather and steel boned corsets for $150 hm.
evile: I heard/read somewhere that the forbidden fruit on North Loop
had one on sale 75% off.
    SkyeDS: size 22 extra fat?
evile: I think they said 3X
SkyeDS: that one you've got is considerably less expensive tho.
SkyeDS: I just want one with straps
SkyeDS: and I'm too lazy to make epaulettes for the ones I've already
    got
evile: I have one that needs re-boning before it will be useful at
all...and I have had it for over a year now. I know lazy :)
SkyeDS: I've got three I don't wear anymore
SkyeDS: two of them have never been worn, might be easy to get rid of
    on ebay
SkyeDS: the black one is of course well worn
evile: ebay is a fine thing.
    evile: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Austin_Voyagers/message/2210
evile: there's the message re: corset at Forbidden fruit. Leather -
    woo!
    SkyeDS: ty
SkyeDS: I'm here late tonight, I should call and find out when they
    close
SkyeDS: wouldn't hurt to toodle by there on way home
evile: Sounds like a fun little side-trip
SkyeDS: ack. neches and 6th, no north loop
evile: hm. I've been in there. It's right next door to Monkeywrench
    Books.
    SkyeDS: me too
    SkyeDS: just no phone number
SkyeDS: will call the other ones and ask
    SkyeDS: 7 pm
    evile: bummer.
    SkyeDS: why?
SkyeDS: I can make up my hours from yesterday some other day than
    today.
evile: I thought you said you were working late.
evile: sorry, made an aSS umption.
SkyeDS: well, I don't see that it will make much difference to Hugh
if I leave at 6:15 rather than 7:15
SkyeDS: I've got two weeks to make up four hours.
    evile: oh, ok then.
SkyeDS: sounds very pretty but no straps
SkyeDS: 77 bucks more or less, size XXL, if you're interested, black
    leather, zips.
    SkyeDS: 75% off 310
evile: despite my recent gains, I still dont' think I'm an XXL.
SkyeDS: Lorraine is low carbing now
SkyeDS: I felt like a heel eating junk food in front of her all
    weekend
SkyeDS: I need to get back on the wagon.
    evile: I hear ya.
evile: I am starting to need clothes for summer, but I don't even
want to try on at this point.
SkyeDS: got a few summer things for my birthday
evile: My mom gave me a dress & a necklace. The necklace fit!
    SkyeDS: :D
evile: Oh well. I'm hoping that some combination of being off depo,
Krav Maga, and summer increase in physical activity will help things
    SkyeDS: z;0
    SkyeDS: um, ok :)
evile: I think I'm getting the dreaded 30-something 'metabolism
crash' I've read about...which means the eating thing is going to get
    even more challenging.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: Kirby was talking about walking at Town Lake on some sort of
regular basis. her life seems a little chaotic, but it might be a
good thing to try. course it's already miserable outside...so it
might not be anything I'd stick with.
SkyeDS: I noticed she posted to polys with something that Ellen
Friedman wrote, I think that's the same Ellen we were friends with in
    CMA
SkyeDS: her husband Craig is a sheriff
    evile: wow, small world.
evile: was that the thing about the interfaith service on Thursday
    evening?
    SkyeDS: nods
    evile: That sounded interesting.
    SkyeDS: aye
evile: it's Air Coolers night. Also our 9th anniversary of our 1st
date. Tom will probably care about the VW meeting...
evile: (we are down to 1 running vehicle now. The Ghia is marginal,
but only Tom knows how to drive her.)
SkyeDS: Acadiana passionately loves Ghias, she had/has one
    evile: they are cute.
SkyeDS: kirby and cady are skating on tuesday nites I think
evile: I won't go to skate night anymore unless I have someone to
    arrive and leave with me.
    SkyeDS: bad there now?
evile: No, just that one creepy guy that gives me grief when he gets
    me alone.
    SkyeDS: yuck
evile: pretty much ruined my fun.
evile: He hasn't emailed me in a while, so maybe he's found someone
    else to pester now.
    SkyeDS: hopefully
evile: I should start skating again.
evile: I still think my yahoo email is messed up. did you reply to
the email, or just look at photos?
    SkyeDS: just looked at photos
evile: Ok...I just usually get a lot more email than I've been
getting lately, so I'm worried something is wrong.
SkyeDS: I never check yahoo mail
SkyeDS: I check my hotmail infrequently
evile: You actually have to set it up separately from your yahoo user
    ID
    SkyeDS: never bothered.
evile: one less place for spam to accumulate...
    SkyeDS: hm.
    SkyeDS: food.
evile: I haven't gone to the store since I got paid Mon... really
    need to.
SkyeDS: I should have gotten paid yesterday but I'm paying myself
    today
    SkyeDS: make sure the bank
    evile: aha.
    SkyeDS: 's snafu is fixed
    evile: good plan.
SkyeDS: reran the credit cards and the money's there today.
SkyeDS: Mirage's garb needs serious rework and help to be SCA quality
SkyeDS: I need to make her a new collar, a new blanket and I want to
make a leather crupper and put danglies all over
evile: I'm glad teh CC situation worked out.
evile: sounds like you'll have fun playing with Mirages gear. Nice
thing about SCA is that they actually have equestrian stuff, so they
have resources & people who can help you.
SkyeDS: there is an equestrian who's also a falconer
SkyeDS: he asked me why Arthur speaks RedTail
    evile: interesting.
SkyeDS: I might be able to talk him into taking sineater as a student
SkyeDS: if I can talk sineater into doing it
    evile: that would be cool.
SkyeDS: it's something I *know* he'd like to do, as much as he keeps
    saying it's too much trouble
    evile: *nods*
SkyeDS: Arthur talks to the redtails outside his window
evile: I'm sure that's a unique experience to a redtail, much as if
my lunchtime sandwich had said hello before I took the first bite...
evile: redtail 1 to redtail 2: Honey, c'mere! The dessert is
    talking!!!
    SkyeDS: lol
evile: that or they'd be going "Hey, is that Bob? Thought he ate a
bad lizard and died...but looks like joined the circus or got
attacked by the Mary Kay lady or something in there...."
evile: Very confused predators, either way, I think.
    SkyeDS: hehe
evile: I think it's very cool that you're meeting such knowledgable
    people in SCA. :)
SkyeDS: and the bardics are reliably frequent
evile: that's way cool. A lot more of what youre interested in.
evile: And Mouser said you'd probably have no shortage of admirers in
SCA as well, which is a nice bonus ;)
SkyeDS: he said that about me?
    evile: yup.
    SkyeDS: I'm beet red
    evile: heh.
SkyeDS: won't do me any good
SkyeDS: travel w/ the two boys everywhere, and always have hands full
    doin somethin
SkyeDS: but I do enjoy the scenery
evile: Well, it's nice to flirt & be appreciated, even if it doesn't
    go anywhere (at least IMsexlessboringO)
SkyeDS: there was one very pretty man at bardic
    SkyeDS: beautiful voice too
    evile: nice.
evile: Did you see the theme of this month's Voyagers party? "role
    playing"--way cool :)
    SkyeDS: :)
evile: on your bday and everything. :P
    SkyeDS: not cool :P lol
    evile: well, yeah...
evile: time is supposed to exist so that everything wont' happen at
once, and it all does anyway.
    SkyeDS: LOL
SkyeDS: kaleon emailed me and asked me what I wanted for my birthday
SkyeDS: so I told him what we're doin, but I doubt we'll see him
    evile: oops, broke the rules!
SkyeDS: I hadn't laid them down yet
    evile: oh, okay then. good.
SkyeDS: I liked the system we had when I was a kid
SkyeDS: I invited one friend and we camped, swam and water skied for
    a week
SkyeDS: no expensive presents, no parties
    evile: that sounds like fun.
SkyeDS: had a party exactly once, and it sucked badly
SkyeDS: that's why I decided finally to just go to the lake, tell the
people I care about I'm goin, and be done with it
SkyeDS: told Laura & Linda (SCA), Randy & family, Kelly, and you.
evile: And either way, you're doing what you want to do for your
    BDay .
SkyeDS: Kelly fed us dinner last night, and we told them about the
SCA being much more kid friendly, kid suitable, and t hat Michael and
Bryt both could compete in Eq
evile: I still want to do this with a girlfriend:
    http://www.cabanascopal.com/viewCabanas/packages/girlfriendsGetaway.ht
    ml
evile: SCA is cool, but I never want to work that hard on a hobby, ya
know? All that authenticity & whatnot....bleh.
SkyeDS: thankfully the subgroups I affiliated with aren't anal
SkyeDS: the bards don't care about my filks
SkyeDS: and I'm t he one that's bugged by my barding, not t he rest
    of the eqs
SkyeDS: and no one's said word o ne about my garb
    SkyeDS: unlike HFS
evile: so far so good. But, as with faire, eventually there will be
some asshat who wants to marsh your mallow & tell you you aren't
    period, bla bla bla.
    SkyeDS: no doubt
evile: Nobody in HFS has any room to talk about garb...
evile: I actually had an HFS dream recently, in which I showed up to
court/feast dressed as a green ninja bunny....No idea what my
subconscious mind was trying to do with that one...
    SkyeDS: ROFL
evile: Unfo, the furries have ruined human/animal type costumes for
me... :( I don't want to be playing dress-up and have some freak come
    and hump my leg.
evile: Personal, irrational prejudice on my part, I know. The one
furry I know of that I've met in RL did not try and hump my leg.
    SkyeDS: lol
evile: And I'm sure that with the crowds I run in, I know people who
are furry but I don't know they're furry...
    SkyeDS: good chance
evile: I just dont' want to think about it. The only thing that
squicks me worse than furry is infantile play.
SkyeDS: lots of fetishes I don't really get
    SkyeDS: like those two
evile: there are plenty I don't get, very few that actively squick
me, but those two are for sure ICKY to me.
evile: Lots of stuff that other people get excited about and I'm just
kind of like "meh, whatever" --if Sweetie wanted to try it I would not be
offended, but I would probably just 'close my eyes and think of
    England' kind of thing.
    SkyeDS: hehe
SkyeDS: I guess I would too
SkyeDS: all but necro, copro and minors
evile: oh, hadn't even thought of those..more ick.
evile: I posted my list in my LJ...everything I could think of and
what I thought of it, whether I'd tried it or would try it...very
disappointing lack of response from anyone in that particular locked
    group :(
SkyeDS: I think most people wouldn't comment anyway
    SkyeDS: political correctness
evile: well...I didn't post it to my 'public', I posted to a select
group that I'd asked if they were interested & if they'd share their
    thoughts...so I feel kinda...stupid.
    SkyeDS: <hugs>
evile: They were probably all "Oh, yawn, vanilla"
    SkyeDS: lol I doubt that
evile: Oh well. I feel like an idiot for feeling as hurt and rejected
as the lack of response made me feel...
SkyeDS: I see a lot of posts all over that i think I should respond
to, but it takes me a lot of times sometime
    SkyeDS: reverse those two words
evile: yup. the thing about LJ is that if you have an extensive
friends list, eventually interesting posts get buried in new posts so
if you don't reply right away you forget about it...
evile: And then the Voyager group is just too BIG to put that much
info about myself out there...as is the poly group, for that matter
evile: I tried, but I just couldn't go through with it...
SkyeDS: I belong to many groups that most people consider weird
SkyeDS: and even my weirdo friends think I'm weird
    evile: heh
evile: but at least you can find people who share an interest here or
there, people to do stuff with...
SkyeDS: you're a member of all the groups I'm a member of, and a few
    more on top of that
evile: yup. And I stil can't find people to play with. :(
SkyeDS: would Sweetie be ok with it? I know what he says (but sineater said
it too, and found it easier said than done)
evile: Sweetie is not interested :)
SkyeDS: and not interested means he'll let you find someone who is, I
    hope
evile: exactly. Because this isn't about sex, at all.
evile: He has had no problem with me going to GWNN and Voyagers
parties...but it's getting sort of pointless for me to go, because I
    want to play, not watch.
evile: Watching is fun, and often educational...but it only satisfies
a couple of my kinks :P
SkyeDS: I have a tendency to invite myself into the middle of things
evile: I guess I should just get better at that...I think it's easier
when youre a sub...walk up to somebody and say "beat me" or
    whatever. .. I dunno...
SkyeDS: I've never invited myself into anything GWNN related
evile: You should sometime. They are pretty interesting.
evile: The next GWNN play party is July 17
SkyeDS: I mean, I don't know if I could invite myself into stuff like
    that
SkyeDS: not attend, Ihave no problems attending
    evile: aha.
SkyeDS: but it isn't t he same as butting right into the middle of
    bardic or equestrian
    evile: nope.
evile: (not that I'd be capable of doing that, either)
SkyeDS: what I do there is meekly ask if I can hang around the
perimeters and participate when I'm comfortable
evile: Oh well. I need to go throw paper around.
evile: And try to psych myself up to be nice for poly dinner...
SkyeDS: tis that time tisn't it
    evile: yup.
    evile: have fun shopping :)
SkyeDS: not going to bother, it hasn't got straps.
evile: oh, OK then. Well, have fun working then. :P
evile: *hugs* Talk at ya tomorrow.
    SkyeDS: HUGS

2235HFS dream

    Jun. 2, 2004

I dreamt that I was at some HFS event where Sunshine was getting
inducted as the warlord or high lord or something. Lisalotte was kind of
orchestrating the whole thing, he took some vows and then he was
supposed to give each of the people a piece of bread to symbolize the
lord providing for his subjects. It was jalapeno & cheese bread. a
little dry. Then there was a big tub of breakfast tacos for feast,
but nobody ate them, they all went outside to fight instead. Everyone
was standing on this big round trampoline & facing each other with
padded swords. I was dressed like some kind of green ninja bunny--
white bunny ears and a green fuzzy coat or mini dress or something
    like that.

    wierd.

2236Re: Brother A & The Rubber Pig's Wedding

    me to J-Law:

My cell has no signal at work today & we just got a
memo about personal calls on the work phone...so I
    can't call you.

Haven't heard from you & I'm worried. Did you really
    stay in NY?!??
    ====
    J-Law
Shit! Sorry about that!!! I made it home safe and
sound Monday night/Tuesday morning - slept pretty
much all day yesterday, and I have been buried in
work from the moment I got in.

Bit hellish on the way back. I was supremely
hungover from a Sunday night bacchanal, and then I
had some mishegoss getting home - Supershuttle
(henceforth to be known as Supershittle) refused to
pick me up, so I had to hire a car service from the
    airport.

So - obviously, apart from picking up Pepper,
Tuesday was all about sleep & relaxing.

I did read your emails - just haven't gotten a
chance to reply. Will do so very very soon.

    *hugs*

    -J
    ========================
    me:

I'm glad you're alive! Sorry you are so busy--I KNEW
you would be after taking time off work...but OK. I
will hang tight until you get a mo' to ponder my
all-important Life Quandaries. (yeah, work, what's
    that? :P)

    I have pretty much decided:

    1) Pat is a prick and he can kiss my ass. I tried my
best to include him & Sonya in my life after they got
together, and they couldn't be bothered, unless Sonya
was having a "sell crap to your friends 'party'" So I
gave up. And as far as I'm concerned a half-ass note 8
days after my bday is not going to fix anything and if
anything demonstrates how little he really cares about
making any efforts towards real friendship again.

    2) The Rubber Pig pulled this last minute wedding stunt to
'test' peoples 'loyalty' or 'dedication' or something
    like that.

Still pissed off, exhausted, and bug-bitten, but no
longer dehydrated from the weekend. And that's about
    it.

    Love ya!!

2237If I knew how to do LJ memories, I'd add this one

I don't know what I expected, from anyone.

I don't know what they expected, from me, either.

I get so goddam mothermcfucking tired of being this...this thing.

    I'm a person. I have feelings. I have desires. Once upon a time, I
even had goals. And just because I don't feel very alive anymore,
    doesn't mean I'm dead.

I don't want to sit here and cry because people who used to think so
highly of me can't even say hello.

I don't want to sit here and cry because a tiny person has come and
destroyed every chance that I, a big person, had.

I don't want to sit here and cry because I had thoughts and felt
strange crusted hardened things splitting, and now I wonder why.

I don't want to sit here and cry because I can't do anything right in
    someone's eyes.

I used to be me. Whether that meant being miserable, being angry,
being alone, being hungry, driving around until I fell asleep at the
wheel, or drinking til I felt like I could float away, I was me.

I just want to be me. I'm lonely too, but I think being me is more
    important.

Then again, what do I know?

2238Re: Brother A & The Rubber Pig's Wedding

    Jun. 2, 2004

One more thing, while I'm thinkin' about it:

After the ceremony, The Rubber Pig's dad says something like "NOW will you
take a drink?" and gives her water. She sips, he says "More" and
makes her take several more sips (she had been shaking and crying &
hyperventilating through the whole ceremony, probably hadn't eaten or
drank anything once she got the dress on)

And then overheard a bit of conversation between Brother A
and ...somebody...Trey? about how she forgets to eat and they have to
    remind her, and bla bla.

What do you bet her whole convalescence from the surgery is going to
be her trying/doing more than she's supposed to, making herself sick,
and the guys getting after her?

(sound like anyoneUB we know? Naaaah.)

That's so fuckin' irritating. I hate women who fuck themselves up to
get attention like that. Playing the sick/helpless/silly-yet-brave
role for all its worth. Urgh.
