2393MOnday's fun

    Jul. 27, 2004

Aunt L, MOm & [Sister H] picked me up from work at 11:30. We went to Boerne
to get [cousin B] for a couple days. Mom decided she wanted to go to
    Fredericksburg on a back road.

Lunch at a tex-mex place in Boerne. We stopped at Sister Creek winery
& mom & I tasted. We tasted at the Fredericksburg Winery, too. (nasty
German lady working there) Dinner at Altdorf in F'burg. Window
shopping because everything in F'burg closes at 5.

Then back to L&B's. Sweetie picked me up around 9:45 and we left around
10:15. Got home & in bed, asleep by 11 or a little afterwards.

Mom made me a little crazy today. Called me a child-hater, bla bla.
Said something about how I have a 'bad' relationship with [Brother A].
    Um...hello?

2395CRW fun!

bg: sineater called Sun. nite & mentioned that Skye_ds had whacked Jose
with an unpadded weapon across the face, got him in the eye, or
something. Apparently Jose was saying stuff like "shut that bird up"
and such. A told sonar0m to get the axe. sineater was re-doing it, but
gave it to sonar0m anyway, and sonar0m gave it to A. (in M's words
She "just grabbed it" before he had a chance do do/say anything) A
turned it around in her hands several times & apparently didn't
notice it was not completely padded & had exposed PVC, then whacked
Jose when he once again made a comment about the bird. Supposedly,
she noticed at the last minute that either the thing was unpadded, OR
that Jose was turning towards the axe & 'pulled her punch' so to
speak. I don't buy that. I just think she's in such poor physical
condition that the blow didn't do any damage. (Thank god.) She hit
him right on the corner of his eye.

    --------------------------------------------------------------
This year's CRW was interesting to say the least. I have a lot of
good memories to add to my HFS experience.

The Monster game was pretty fun for me on the human team, the monster
team got smashed up pretty good, there were just way too many humans
and it ended up being a brute force game, but it was a great concept,
and there were players that just really took it to great lengths to
make it fun, like the monster garb that some of Drandmir was wearing,
and some of the quasi role-play I saw. Overall I had a blast.

The kvk Battlegame was not given the proper amount of time to run its
course, however that is common at CRW seeing as the games at many
CRWs have been called for time constraints. However, the people that
showed up and participated really made the event fun. I had a blast
running around as a healer with a dagger stabbing people, and an
    awesome time fighting with Bhurtok.

For the KvK Battle games, Nezzerin and Drandmir deserve some applause
for playing the alliance game masterfully and turning all the smaller
groups against eachother, and killing everyone. It really kept the
smaller kingdoms from forming up to kill Drandmir because they kept
them all thinking that Drandmir was a friend and everyone else the
    enemy. Well played.

Brackish Moor played their hearts out and really tried hard, even
when faced by superior numbers and teams with more large scale field
    experience.

I am dissappointed by not being made to pee blood by the archers of
stonebridge. They promised me I would, and I never got shot.

We really need to find a park with a well lit ditch field. I really
miss the Burnet County Fairgrounds site, it had a huge field for the
battlegames, and awesome lighting for the all night ditching. I miss
that place. I used to go to CRW solely for the night ditching.

The champions tourny was a good concept but really should have been 3
point elimination rather than 1 point. Anyone can get lucky, and
anyone can sluff one questionable shot. Especially when the reeves
    won't make a call.

I had a ton of fun fighting however, and a ton of fun chatting and
goofing off with friends I haven't seen in years, and noobs I just
met. All in all it was an event made great by the players that showed
    up.

    Sir Gabriel

oh, P.S. WTF was with the woman who hit kelsar in the face during the
herald's tourny? And mad props to kelsar for not smacking her. Geez.
