2801More crap with the City

    Jan. 7, 2005

We have to get yet another easement thing
signed, notarized and sent to the City. Apparently
they've been trying to send this to us since October,
but the postman would leave us one of those brown
'signature required' cards, we'd instruct him when to
re-deliver, and he'd return it to the city as
'refused'. So they finally send it un-certified,
threatening to 'condemn' the part of our property that
they want an easement for, and I finally got it in the
mail on Monday. I called and left a truly nasty
voicemail. Feel slightly guilty about it now...but
    dang. I was pissed.

2802work

    Jan. 7, 2005

Work got nutty. Sherri (who is loud even when shes NOT mad, and even
louder when she IS!) spent half an hour of lunch and more than 20
minutes after lunch on the phone with her cellular service, bitching
them out loudly. Obnoxious since I had phone duty & was trying
to set a polite tone with my callers, and of course they could hear
her being unpleasant in the background.

Then Krabby, one of my coworkers who is my age but has been here since
she graduated from HS and therefore knows EVERYTHING, sent out email
re some new computer glitch that keeps the hearing officers from
being able to read notes on a certain program screen. So everyone
was hitting 'reply all' when they wrote back, and people were
inundating her with stupid questions, and people who were not hearing
officers were putting in their unwanted two cents, and driving her
bonkers. But...that's what she gets for being a bossy know it
all. Kind of amusing, if I didn't have to listen to her complain
    about it.

*sigh* Oh well. I leave at 3:39 today. So I'm well on my way to being
gone. And the great thing about this job is that it doesn't exist
    once I sign out.
