I sit in front of the mirror and look into it. I ask these questions
to myself and yet they apply to several others right now......
-Who do you see? Before you shrug & say you dont know, take a good
look again. A good honest look.
-Who do you hope to be? (YOU....down the road.)
-What will you do to get there? (he world just wont roll out the red
carpet upon seeing you.)
-What do you want? (Not just today but in the future)
-What do you have to offer? (World does not owe you.)
-WHat do you do for others? (You have to give in order to receive.)
-What can you contribute to the world around you? (You have alot if
you just look. Open your eyes....it's all there.)
-Do you LIKE whallowing in self pity? Ignoring the people around you
offering help?
-What can you do to pull yourself out?
No one likes a whiner or someone looking for pity. Spin enough tales
of how tragic life is and pretty soon you'll believe it. Refuse help
too often and soon you'll see the number of hands reaching to help
you out have deminished. Deny bad things are happening to you and you
are only really hurting yourself.
The world won't automatically assume you need help. You are just a
blip on a radar with countless other lights. It's up to you to make
that light shine bright. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Take
off the blinders. You expect people to do things for you but what do
you do for them?
A wise geek once wrote...the needs of the many outweight the needs of
the few (or the one). There are so many people out there with
problems...real problems. What you are going thru is temporary. It's
up to you to steer yourself into the sunshine. People love you.
LOL...I sound like that character from Saturday Night Live. "I'm good
enough. I'm smart enough and darn it all, people like me." Gotta love
the things that run thru my mind like rabid chipmunks.
