On impulse, I got a candle to St. Alejo/Saint Alex today at HEB. The
prayer on the back says "Protect me from liars and witches"
Google searching also reveals that St Alejo candles/oils:
"Protect one from Satan and all other foes." (Pink)
& also is used to bring home loved ones who are far away.
Yup. Good choice.

Born in the Fourth Century to rich Roman parents, San Alejo, at an
early age, as an act of penance, left home and lived in Syria as a
poor begger. After 17 years, he returned home, but his parents did
not recognize him, and they employed him as a servant, barely feeding
him, working very hard, and requiring him to sleep on the floor
beneath the staircase. Eventually, because of his miserable
circumstances, he became ill. As he was close to death, he revealed
to his parents who he really was, and just before he died, he forgave
them for their treatment of him. Because of his story, and because,
in Spanish, his name means "I go far away" (from "lejos" - "far"),
people pray to him for the return of loved ones who are far away. In
addition, simply because it rhymes, people commonly say "rézale a San
Alejo p'a que se te quite lo pendejo" - "pray to San Alejo so that
you might not be so stupid".
