"Sarah, you ignorant slut"

Actually, Palin did not do as badly against Biden as I'd expected. He did not spank her and send her home crying (I guess I'll have to wait for the movie version). I'm a little disappointed, but I guess not surprised. She was coached to keep hammering away at the same 2 or 3 'talking points', talk 'folksy', and do the 'wide eyed smiling at the camera' thing that is so gosh-darn cute. It was terribly effective. And, because words *do* mean things, I mean terribly in the sense of 'distressing, full of terror,' type terrible.

Did you notice the Reagan-isms? "there you go again!" OMFG. Terrifying.

But, for the love of GOD and all things holy...It's NOT "Nu-kew-lur"...It's Not. I don't care what Homer Simpson and Chimpy in Chief say. If you're planning on blowing up the world with something in order to bring Jesus Christ back to earth, for gods sake, at least have the decency to pronounce it properly. (and, incidentally, why do these arrogant political and religious leaders think they're going to be on God's good side when they force the hand of the Almighty like that?!? Trust His plan...or don't. But don't try and think you know better than the Deity you claim to believe in and serve, dumbasses.)

I will say one nice thing about the Palin/Biden debate: They didn't interrupt each other and step all over each other and talk at the same time like Obama and McCain did...that annoys the piss out of me. I hate it when 2 people talk at once. One of you needs to shut up and let the other person finish talking. I wish the interviewer/moderator/whatever would have called them on that. The candidates weren't showing respect for each other or for the people they were trying to reach.

So, I think Palin and Biden did a much better job of giving a "Statesmanlike Performance"...but I do emphasize the word "performance" as in "acting for an audience"

Yep. It's a terrible amount of bullshit.

Joe Biden backed up his comments with facts and clearly laid out details....Sarah Palin decided she would NOT answer some questions and even told the moderator that...

my response was WTF? We as American people deserve to know where you stand on issues if you are applying for the second most important job in the nation. If Joe Biden had said this, he'd been ridiculed well into next week. It was obvious that there was no real expectations of Palin and most Dems hoped she'd fall on her ass.

There is no doubt in my mind that the polls the next day reflected that Joe was the winner of this debate..

also as a side note? Palin doesn't want to pull out of Michigan in spite of McCain making the decision to cut and run. ohhhhhh breaking ranks?

colour me annoyed at this woman who is about as smart as a box O rocks..

It's all a big show to keep us entertained while the real wheeling and dealing goes on elsewhere.

While we are all pondering whether or not Palin is a Bimbo or the Fucking Antichrist, whether or not the Republican party really believes women are THAT fucking stupid, etc, the politicians totally passed that piece of crap bailout bill, with bojillions of dollars in total pork added on as each politician tacked on their pet lobbyists' causes on the way thru.

I have a stunning, heartbreaking mental image of some beautiful, noble creature that has been horribly wounded, struggling to stand up and keep going as small filthy scavenger animals each take bloody hand, beak, and mouth-fuls of its dying flesh...

A disgusting display of naked filthy greed by all of our elected leaders. I'm not proud of any of them right now.

ehhh..its official about how stupid palin is. One could flub in an interview with the media, but the national stage is the place where one can be judged accordingly. She had a chance to be answering questions and giving clear concise information on where she stood. Even if this was a show, Sarah has done nothing to redeem herself.

If I want to know something about politics I will go on past track records of elected officials and those running for office. This alone speaks volumes.

But dear GAWD What I found regarding McCain had my hair standing on end..The Rolling Stone is not just a musical rag, these guys have a couple of decades in the political scene too. Its a long read but a damn good one. Sources are cited and its very well researched.

Obama may not be much better in some people's eyes, but I'd take someone who has had a history of helping unfortunate people and those at a disadvantage at the grass roots level than deal with a whiny third generation greedy little (and I DO mean LITTLE in stature) fucker..

heh..I do appreciate your stand and I respect you for it. *hugs ye*

Bwahahahahaaaaaaaaaa! That's just about what happened. I could barely understand what she was talking about half the time. Except when she said "nucular" a jillion times and made my cranium hurt with the pain of a thousand screws being drilled into it to release the demons.

We listened to it on the radio on our way to dinner. We planned to go to a pub called the Dutch Goose in Menlo Park. Only it turned out that (a) it was packed to the gills, and (b) with McPalinites rallying and watching the debate. Gaaah!

Wish I'd seen it on TV. Buncha my online buddies said she winked at the camera several times. OMFG and tackarama!

Happy %$#()*~`!ing Friday!
