The ideal of the Caregiver is the perfect, caring parent—generative, loving, and attentive to noticing and developing talents and interests. The Caregiver is the creator of community that helps people feel that they belong and are valued and cared for by encouraging nurturing relationships between and among individuals and constituencies.

Shadow Side:

Shadow caregivers wish to maintain indefinitely the symbiotic state experienced by mother and child, devouring the growing your protégé to try to keep it or make it part of his or her own self. The irony, of course, is that Shadow Caregivers devour others wile also feeling devoured themselves by the caregiving roles. In fact, protégés are often driven or manipulated into doing what the Shadow Caregiver would like to be doing in an unlived life. A Shadow caregiver also may feel that s/he never gets anything back for his/her trouble. However, this type of Shadow caregiver also cannot get anything back, because s/he refuses to receive. These Caregivers may use guilt and obligation they inspire in others to get their own way.

my 2nd highest score was 'lover':

Goal: Bliss

Fear: Loss of love

Response to Dragon/Problem: Love it

Task: Follow bliss

Gift: Passion, commitment

Addictions: Relationships, sex

The Lover’s path is the path of the Soul, the path of Eros instead of Ego. The Lover is often unfairly criticized for his/her lack of prudence when making decisions by following the often illogical, more difficult path of following one’s passion. Most of the other Archetypes, especially the Orphan and the Sage, will be very critical of the Lovers ability to surrender their control for their passions. A well-developed Lover, however, also has a strong identity and a deep foundation that is not easily recognized by the types that are controlled by Ego.

Shadow Lover:

When Eros is denied due to social or other cultural restrictions, it goes underground and emerges in its shadow forms, which are depraved and destructive rather than life-giving and life-promoting. The Shadow Lover causes violence, jealousy, and the objectification of self and others

I actually like this one best...of my 3 top scores.

#3: ruler.

Goal: Order, prosperity

Fear: Chaos

Response to Dragon/Problem: Find its constructive uses

Task: Take full responsibility for life

Gift: Responsibility, control

Addictions: Control, codependence

Rulers are realists who do not have the leisure to have illusions; they are integrated, whole and ready to take responsibility for loves. Rulers understand that his/her own capacity for harm is as great as their capacity for good, and take responsibility for his/her actions. The Ruler maintains life and governs it. The emergence of the positive Ruler archetype indicates some achievement of mastery in the world. At best, Rulers are ecological and find the best methods to deal with everything.

Shadow Ruler:
The Shadow Rulers feels a compelling need to control her/himself and others and an inability to trust the process. Control is wanted for its own sake or for power, status, or personal aggrandizement rather that to manifest the kingdom that would gratify us on a deep level. Shadow Rulers operate out of a scarcity mentality, believing that there is not enough so ‘my gain must be their loss.’ The Shadow Ruler emerges not because they feel we have too much power, but because we feel we have much too little. Often Shadow Rulers are substituting power over others for power from within the self.
